We ordered breakfast from corner bakery to be delivered at work. For it being a big order, it was delivered fast! I was told the pancakes were delicious do I had to see for myself. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese panini and a side order of pancakes! The panini was good, it had a good amount of bacon as well as cheese. The pancakes came with butter, brown sugar and syrup. I just put some butter and syrup and they were delicious! I'm not a big fan of pancakes, I rarely eat them but they we're definitely worth trying! My meal came out to a total of $10 before tip but the price was worth the amount of food that I ordered. We usually order from Corner Bakery when we have people from corporate visiting our center and they never disappoint. I always get the uptown turkey and the Mac n cheese! So good!!!! This place is alright. I have only been here twice and the only reason i went the first time; I was given a gift card and I had a brownie from this place. I want there the first time and I asked if any of the deserts have nuts and the lady didn't sound sire or confident that the lemon bar I wanted didn't have nuts in it. Yet another chain "fast food" restaurant... I say that in quotes because you order your food at the counter and then find your own seating. That's about where the "fast food" part ends. Your food is cooked and then a server brings it to your table. They also come and bus the table after you're done. I've only been for the breakfast food so I can't speak on the afternoon menu. I should be ashamed for just now writing this review as Corner Bakery has become a Saturday morning tradition for my crew. But I digress. The food is great!! The ingredients are fresh and the menu offers a variety of options including oatmeals and vegetarian items. The fresh baked pastries are scrumptious! I usually get one for a sweet treat later on. They have three types of fresh brewed coffee to try and they have a truffle hot chocolate that is to die for. I could go on and on about this place... The employees are very nice, I'll give you that, but I was highly disappointed in my meal. I ordered a half and half that consist of a Meatball Panini, Chicken Orzo soup and a side of chips. The panini came out gross, super gross.. I ate a couple bites and lost my appetite for it. First off there wasn't enough sauce inside the sandwich (shown in picture) and it was soggy..(how?) neither one of the items were up to par. It's our first time in the place, and we are glad to be here. We ordered breakfast, and it was good, and served so quickly. The customer service is great, staffs were friendly and approachable. While in the area working on post at Ft. Bliss, I heard a few people mention the Corner Bakery Cafe. Hotel breakfasts get old fast, and eating healthy while on travel is always a task. So, I looked up the CBC's menu the night before and chose it based on reviews and the photos. I made the right choice. I got the new Egg Power Bowl (without tomato) and was delightfully surprised how good it was. Not super filling, but I didn't need that before my drive to AZ for my next job. I got a side of the seasonal fruit which was grapes, cantaloupe, green apple and pineapple. Can't really mess up fruit as long as it hasnt gone bad, only issue I had was how cold it was for my sensitive teeth. My one overall gripe is that I brought my own 32oz Nalgene water bottle with me that was nearly empty and asked if they could refill it for me (remember, long drive coming up). The cashier said of course, then got stuck looking up how to charge me for a soft drink refill (which are free) so then she tried to charge me for a coffee refill (also free). I said it was no big deal as I would stop at a hotel or some other establishment to fill it. Go to grab my table and low and behold, they have a soft drink fountain for dine-in customers to use. Ended up filling up so all is well, just odd that she was trying to charge me. Oh well, highly recommend to travelers who are tired of the same hotel breakfast during their stays. read more

I like a Corner Bakery as much as the next guy, but I typically only go to a CBC when I need a spot to hookup my laptop or want to read a book while sipping on a coffee. I could definitely enjoy the latter at this CBC, but I had a little trouble with the former. A Tuesday at around 9 a.m. is a really good time to go because only a handful of tables were occupied when I arrived and there was absolutely no line to order. My order was pretty simple, a regular Sea Salt Caramel Latte with whole milk and a toasted plain bagel with cream cheese. The pastry selection looked pretty full for the time of day... in my experience, coffee places tend to stay busy from 6-8 a.m. so an under-stocked selection would've been excusable. I came to work off my dying laptop so I was on the hunt for an outlet. I only found three, one at a booth that was already preoccupied, one at a table that had crumbs and plates that had not yet been picked up, and one next to the two leather chairs. I don't know that this CBC is smaller than most, they just have a much smaller lounge section since it was limited to the two chairs and two end tables, joined together to form an informal coffee table. My coffee and bagel arrived a short time later. The coffee was good, pretty sweet, but definitely better than anything I've been served at a Starbucks in EP. The bagel wasn't my favorite. Even though it was toasted it had a lot of... softness to each bite. I wouldn't go as far to call it "gummy", but it just wasn't the consistency I was expecting from a toasted bagel. I ate it nonetheless, but in the future I would definitely specify that I'd like it to be lightly browned. As far as working off my laptop. Once I got hooked up, connecting to the internet for some reason took about 15 minutes. There was no pop-up page that I needed to accept the terms to, but it just wouldn't connect for a while. I even tried on my phone to see if it was just my laptop, but I was never actually able to connect on my phone. Maybe a bad day for their internet provider or perhaps there's limitations because just about every other person that was at CBC at the moment was also on a laptop. Either way... not sure, worth investigating. What I really appreciated about this CBC was the fact that the manager came by and checked on every single patron. It's a small gesture that takes only a few minutes, but makes a world of a difference. Keep up the superior customer service, guys! read more

Well walked over from my hotel to get some food. Ordered Mac and Cheese with bacon and a salad with a treat of a chocolate chip cookie. It was ready pretty quick and they have me the bag and I headed back to the hotel. I unpack my food and the cookie was missing. Yes it was only a $1.69 and tax but I wanted a little sweet after a long day. I called and it was like "oh we're sorry, you sure it's not hidden In the bag?" So, this place is a jewel in the rough. Am staying at a hotel that basically adjoins to the the Corner Bakery and while convenience counts (walking to the drive thru window is pretty awesome), I really love the Choose 2 option. I can get what amounts to a decent sized (half standard) gourmet style sandwich, with a side salad-this is my going into shift meal; plus a full sized salad with various protein options-for my 3/4 into my 12 hour shift meal. I do this frequently-can get pasta instead of sandwich, like shrimp scampi...so, yeah, this place is pretty awesome for convenience and options for a shift worker like me! read more

A nice place for weekend brunch. The pancakes are fluffy and the eggs are much lighter tasting than other places, and much less greasy and salty. There are four coffee choices to choose from. The kids split pancakes and eggs, which was plenty for two little ones. The wait staff was helpful. They aren't like regular waitresses but do bring your food and other things if needed (to-go boxes, for example). My only advice is to skip the side of fruit. One grape, one tiny piece of pineapple, and some cantaloupe, does not a fruit salad make. Plus the melon was iffy looking. I took it back and they gave me potatoes with no questions asked.
