We've always wanted to try this place, and after I dropped Noah off at practice, I took the plunge. We always look to arrive at after 10pm, there's no way you're not waiting in line at that time. I arrived just after 8:30 am, but there was plenty of room. I got seated at the bar, and got to see everything. I asked for coffee, and it came quick and hot. Then i took a look at the menu, but the nice thing about the bar is that you can see everything that was ordered get prepped. I ordered a pozole rojo. It was a good choice, according to me... it was a lot of food. It came with a slice of toasted and buttered bolillo bread. It was loaded with more pork, than hominy - a lot. The server came by to ask if I needed a box. The Junction is a diner, with a railroad ambiance. Plenty of train station themes, I think there were a lot of clocks on the wall - but I don't think that they were working... or that they were on time. I noticed a couple of plates that I would want to try... the chicken fried steak, the biscuits and gravy with fried eggs on top, peach cobber side, the fresh biscuit with chipotle butter. It all looked good. The breakfast tacos seemed basic, but a lot of folks ordered them - they must know. There is seating inside, table and bar, and outside under the shade. Really enjoyed Junction Brunch House! It's literally a house turned into a restaurant, so it has a really cool, casual vibe. The food doesn't look super fancy, but everything was packed with flavor. The French toast was amazing, the iced coffee was great, and the mimosa was on point. Our waiter was awesome too. Experimenting away from chains we came across The Junction Brunch House via Yelp. OMG!!! This quaint little restaurant boasts the best pancakes I have had in a while. Breakfast was superb. On my way out of El Paso, which incidentally was the day the Feds shutdown the air space around the city, ended up giving me an opportunity for one last time to try another local eatery. I went in for brunch, and one place that absolutely deserves a visit is The Junction Brunch House. The restaurant is set inside a literal house, which gives it a cozy, welcoming feel from the moment you walk in. The service is warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. As for the food? Ay Dios mio! Outstanding. I ordered Big T's Texas Breakfast: two eggs any style, bacon, and pancakes or French toast. I chose scrambled eggs and pancakes. The presentation was impressive, looking more like something you'd expect at a high-end hotel restaurant. The eggs were folded neatly, omelet-style, into a triangle and cooked perfectly--flavorful and fluffy. The bacon was crispy yet juicy, just right. The pancakes were a four-stack, light and fluffy with a beautiful griddle finish. They came with butter mixed with brown sugar and cinnamon, and a side of and maple syrup, which took them to another level. Junction has locally made hot sauce on the table, and fair warning as both packed some serious heat and paired perfectly with the eggs. What really stood out was the attentive service. The staff checked in regularly, made sure I had everything I needed, and seemed to refill my coffee right on cue. While brunch alone makes it worth the trip, the menu offers much more than breakfast. I'm already looking forward to going back to try their lunch options. We went on a Sunday around 1 for brunch and there was a bit of a wait. It was chill since they had water and there was shaded and unshaded places to wait. It's both indoor and outdoor seating with a musician playing outside. We ordered a bucket of mimosa with different juice options (strawberry, mango, pomegranate and orange). My friend told me to get the chicken grilled cheese and it was so good and the fries were perfectly crispy. My friends ordered elote as a side and they kept forgetting to bring it out. This place had a fair amount of accolades for best breakfast around so we came here with a few others, but sadly it just was a disappointment from start to finish. I'll hit the highlights: 1) dog friendly 2) nice patio 3) live singer was good. Now the not so good: When we arrived we had a reservation yet they were overwhelmed to which we ended up waiting a good 15 minutes for the table to be cleaned and seated. Food & Drink - 2* The chicken fried steak with egg and potatoes was good, but quite salty. The lean machine had very salty asparagus and the grilled chicken was cooked to a crisp, just completely dried out. The pulled pork benedict was awful in the words of the person. The pan dulce bread was not good and the pulled pork itself was somehow dry. I'm pretty amazed at that since it's nearly impossible to overcook pulled pork. That's impressive in a bad way. Service - 2.5* It took a bit to place our order and our waitress noted she had too many tables, struggling to keep up. Once our order was placed we didn't see her until it was time for the check. We ran out of drinks and we were unable to address the entree concerns until the end. Our waitress was very apologetic noting her own lack of quality service due to having too many tables and the kitchen serving food that she said, they know better than that. She encouraged us to visit again though its tough to want to given how just about everything that could be wrong, went wrong. She did try to make it right by taking an item off the bill, which was much appreciated considering everything. Pricing - 2.5* I'll say it's fair pricing if the food is executed as I believe it is intended however given the lack of service and poor quality in dishes I'll just cut it in the middle here. Overall - 2* We had high expectations and were excited to pay a visit finally. One member of the group said 1* and would never come back, the other 2* and likely would not come back. Myself, I'll go slightly above 2.5* considering the gesture of comping an item while their self awareness of the poor service is a sign they would like us to revisit. Would I come back? Maybe in time. I will say that I in no way understand how this place has received the accolades it has considering this visit. Hopefully this was an exception to the norm. read more

Forego the typical pink-centric and floral brunch spots (trust me I love them too) and opt for this classic diner spot that whips you back in time for those neighborhood spots that you went with your family to. The Junction has only opened a few years back but you'd think their recipes have been passed down for who knows how long. From their delicious french toast to biscuits with sausage gravy and hatch green chile. Everything was delicious. The service was on-point and I loved their homemade apple butter. My fiance had their avocado toast and really enjoyed it. For you crispy bacon lovers out there, this spot knows how to perfectly present the crispiest little strips one can desire. Now on the weekends they feature a weekend only version of their french toast which is their peach cobbler french toast. This variation had me drooling at the first sight of it and I knew I needed this for myself. I'm still dreaming of this dish and can't wait to go back. We will def be back! read more

The potatoes were perfectly balanced with substance and crispy texture. The sausage was delicious with a touch of spice, and the eggs were folded over in a little omelette that went perfect with hot sauce. The bacon was crispy and salty. My friend's fried chicken biscuit sandwich was huge! And the potatoes that came with it were also a very generous portion. The breakfast tacos were also excellently crispy and very flavorful with several options for sauces. Best way to order is one of each type (bacon, sausage, and pulled pork one each). I think my bacon in the picture can speak for itself..... It was burnt and inedible. This place looked intriguing and we wanted to start the day off right with a good breakfast. It was a perfect day to dine on their patio. Although the tables were kind of janky we enjoyed the opportunity to eat outside. I selected the Big T's Texas Breakfast. The pancakes really let me down, as they were tough to eat. Pancakes should be soft and fluffy and able to cut with a fork. However, the bacon, eggs and toast made up for it. I would not recommend the pancakes rather go with the French Toast or waffles. One of my colleagues chose the breakfast sandwich figuring he would get a breakfast sausage but instead it was a kielbasa or polish sausage definitely not a breakfast sausage party. The others enjoyed the breakfast Taco's & The Junction Breakfast. Service was good and they checked on us often and quickly refilled our waters & coffee. We all ended up making our decisions and our food came out pretty quickly. All four of us liked our food. My husband got the biscuits and gravy and the gravy was not hot.
