What a great overall experience at the Corner Bar and kitchen. As I walked in, I immediately checked out the bourbon selections and was impressed by the solid lineup (bookers, blantons, stagg, basil Hayden, woodford, angels envy, knob creek and more. We ordered a bourbon sour and a lemon maple bourbon. Both were superbly made with fresh ingredients. We moved on to a really good meal sharing among six of us. Everyone agreed the Honey Sriracha duck wings were our favorite of the night, but we also really enjoyed the antipasti and the hummus plate. The food, the service (thanks Mary you really made our night great!) and the fresh drinks were amazing. We also had a nice view of the water from our table that was a welcomed touch. Give this place a shot if you haven't been there. Some big eaters don't love the Tapas format, but I left really satisfied. If you don't try the duck wings, you'll be missing out!

Brew the Coop Newish…read more(ca. 2019) Brewpub located in the heart of Downtown Rangeley that's located in a historic (ca. 1912) tavern. Not only do they sport their own brews, but they have a killer brick pizza oven to boot. The Good: *Huge outdoor space but oddly they don't have any coverings, like umbrellas, to keep you out of the sun. *Great views of the lake and people watching. *Service was friendly and pleasant (see below) *Nice selection of their own brews and other micro and macro brews on-tap, as well as fermented grapes, as well as a full bar. *Tater Kegs were delicious and a very unique item; if cheese and ham stuffed tater tots doesn't get you torqued up, then it's time to turn in your foodie card. *Bison burger was excellent and cooked perfectly medium. The concomitant brioche bun and bacon jam really sealed the deal, as well. The fries were pretty bomb, too. The Meh: *"No Pet Policy" is kinda wild, but kinda ubiquitous here in Rangeley. Which, to tell the truth, is sorta strange because it's usually rich people who like to schlep their dogs around and what do rich people like to do? Ski, boat, and fish--three things synonymous with Rangeley. Interesting, eh? *Interior isn't as big as it looks from the outside, but is still fairly ample. *They seemed overwhelmed on our visit and very short-staffed, as the food took a looooong time to come out. Fortunately, we were in vacation mode--and I had a beer in-hand--so it was all good on our end, but if you're looking for a quick meal, this might not be it. The Ugly: *The fact that they actually have to have a "Bee Policy" (see pic) is crazy. If I have to explain it to you, then you're part of the problem. *Their "website" (aka The Facebooks) is kinda funny place to be posting people with their dead deer carcasses. 0_o Conclusion: A couple of iffy deals here, but the food was fantastic--and that's what matters.

We shared appetizers (tots, truffle fries, pickle chips) and then some pizzas. Pizzas were creative and larger than expected! We had plenty of leftovers for midnight snacks. My favorite was the blueberry pork pizza. It was an unexpected pizza combo, but it works!!! Drink selection is vast! I had a canned blueberry sour and I was super pleased. I will say we asked for water when we ordered drinks, and again when we order meals and we never got them. I understand we were a bigger group, but it would have been a perfect experience if we could have gotten water with our meal. I liked this place! I'll come back the next time I'm in Rangeley and try more pizzas.

This is placed off the top of a ski lift. When you enter you see a beautiful room, filled with yellow tables and chairs, and huge windows to see the rest of the mountain. It's warm, inviting, and great for groups. We were all impressed by how stunning the place looked as we walked in. I came with a group of 6 people after a morning of skiing. We were cold, hungry, and ready to eat. Nest more than met our expectations. We had an assortment of cocktails, cocoas, chilis, and sandwiches. I personally loved the Cubano sandwich. It is huge! I recommend sharing with a friend. It's not like a typical Cubano, but it's a fun twist. The bread was a perfect texture and the dijon mustard added great flavor. I was impressed by how well plated the food was for being on a ski mountain. Cocktails were good, but pricey. Hot cocoas were cheaper and more delicious! Overall the food was awesome, great for sharing, and reasonably priced. I don't ski at Saddleback often, but when I come back I will make a point to stop for lunch again. High recommend!

Today, we hit the nail on the head. Just opened for the day we parked in front. Walked up the stairs and read the sandwich board with specials. Walked in to a cozy environment with wood accents, musical instruments on the wall, local artists work on the walls (also for sale), tiny flower vases on each table was very inviting. We chose to sit at the bar. Bartender was happy to see us and gave us specials information and told us to just holler when ready. Menu had a good variety of food I chose the chili and hubby their smash burger. Kitchen is located directly behind the bar. It is sparkling clean! The stainless steel was glowing it was so clean, I LOVE that having worked in F&B. While waiting bartender made small talk which we like, not overly sharing but enough to feel seen. Chili came with homemade cornbread that was toasted and out of this world DELICIOUS!! Chili was really good too. Not too spicy, thick with diced tomatoes, tinier peppers, and nice pieces of meat. Wowza was that good. Smash burger did not disappoint either, hubby said it's one of the best burgers he has had. They have a full display case with their homemade desserts so you can see before you buy. I was stuffed so did not take up on the offer. We did get a glance at the chef when we came in and asked the bartender to please give our compliments to the chef! Make sure to check for their hours, they open later than other places on Saturdays. They have a food truck outside, maybe they cater? Lots of outdoor seating for the nicer weather. If you are in the Western Mountains of Maine, don't drive by, stop and grab some amazing food!

Renovated back in 2018, this charming family-friendly sports bar is located in the heart of Downtown Rangeley and serves up the usual cavalcade of Pub food, from fish and chips to burgers and even pizza. You know, the four food groups. :8) The Good: *Terrific service by our waitress, Miranda *Outdoor dining (not sure if it's dog-friendly) *Tons of TVs for sports viewing action *Free street parking and you can also park in the nearby lot to the park. *Very reasonable prices (we're from Cali so take that fwiw) *Great selection of local micro and macro brews on-tap *Onion Rings were worth the extra upcharge *Carissa ordered some kinda haddock chowder and couldn't stop raving about it. *Pastrami Reuben was outstanding. The Pastrami was piled high and sliced nice and thin; the bread (marbled rye ofc) was crispy and toasted perfectly; and it had just the right amount of Swiss, 1000 island, & sauerkraut to make it perfection. The Meh: *Interior is a little loud The Ugly: *Not the place to be if you're looking for health food. I mean, yeah, they got a few salads on the menu, but not much else beyond. Conclusion: Terrific pub fare and drinks in a family-friendly environment. Highly recommended.

I tend to lower my expectations a little bit when I find myself in smaller towns in rural areas, and this spot did a nice job exceeding them. More sauce on the fish would have been a 10/10. The blueberry margarita was great as well. the wings were okay, a little too overcooked and i would've liked to see some homemade ranch. The chicken parm was absolutely terrible unfortunately. Flavorless, the chicken was too thick, pasta was stale, and it was freezing cold. I haven't sent back a dish in over 5+ years and unfortunately I had to send the chicken parm back it was inedible. the vibe of the restaurant was not great as well. We overheard other tables talking about how poor their food was. for example "freezing cold chowder" "my burger is cold" "i could cook better at home" "i'm not paying for this". it definitely added a negative vibe to the experience. This place needs WORK and needs it asap. The wait times were okay, but the kitchen has a lot of work to do. I hope the new owners step it up, we love rangeley and come yearly, but for this place to survive they need passion and some blood sweat and tears to get this place up to par compared to the other restaurants.
