    Green Thai Curry

Vegetarian Thai curry w tofu. SO flavorful & a ton of veggies. Probably equals 3 meals for me but it was incredible after a chilly rainy day. Can't wait to come back! Service 10/10

We ate at The Hungry Trout based on the recommendation of our fishing guide, Larry. "My favorite is the Mountain Meatloaf," he said. So on our last night in Rangeley, we drove the short route to Oquassac and The Hungry Trout. The food was absolutely amazing. The presentation was superb and the portion sizes were extremely generous. The hubs had the Mountain Meatloaf and I had the Pork Saltimbucca (with prosciutto, mushrooms, and a Madeira gravy over a bed of mashed potatoes). We finished our experience with a warm caramel apple bread pudding. Yum! Margot, our server, was knowledgeable about the menu and her warmth and smile were very genuine. Bravo!

Absolutely amazing, better than most restaurants over in Boston (where we are from). Genuinely some of the best pasta i've ever had. Burger was good! Needed some type of special sauce. The first night we met a Scottish server who gave us great information about his homeland. Very friendly and informative young man. The food was excellent. I had the meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. My brother had noodle stir fry with shrimp and my other brother ordered the same plate as mine but with chicken. We could not believe how delicious everything tasted. A+ to the chef. Tonight we did the same dishes with different people and we were not disappointed. The curry coconut soup was very tasty. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area and want a very good home cooked meal.

Second night we booked a reservation online and again was seamless. We were impressed by how clean everything was and how comfortable the dining room is, even with the number of people in it. Dinner both nights was absolutely fantastic. Truly, everyone had a great meal. The absolute favorites were the pork chops, ribs, wings and steak tips. Don't skip out on the corn on the cob or the baked potato. Who knew those sides could be something you would want again and again?! We will definitely be back and so happy we found the Red Fox Bar & Grille!

Service was slow, there didn't seem to be enough staff as was the case everywhere we went in the No. Conway area over the 4 days we were up there. My husband ordered the fish sandwich and got the chicken sandwich (with tarter sauce). It took about 20 minutes for our waiter to return to check on us, at which time the problem was corrected quickly. Everybody else was pretty much done eating while my husband tried to quickly eat his meal. The rest of the food everybody ordered was good, the grandchildren were happy with their kids meals. Drinks were good, but again it took a long time for them to arrive. There just doesn't seem to be enough help in any of the food service establishments up there. Wait staff were running ragged everywhere we went. I don't blame the workers or the establishments, it's just a commentary on how much help there is available. If you go, just pack your patience and don't wait until anybody is hangry!!

The panko shrimp were large with a crisp outer crust, the Santa Fe burger was flavorful, and the haddock was cooked perfectly. I had a Bissell Brothers IPA and a Trillium IPA. Both were great beers, but they were served in the "fancy glasses," and after checking the volume against a pint water glass, it was clear they weren't full pours. The Trillium was roughly 12 oz and the Bissell around 10 oz. When I asked, I was told they change the volume based on alcohol content. At $9 a glass, I expect a full pint unless otherwise stated. To show the difference in pour size, I took water from the pint‑size Coke glass and poured it into the "fancy" beer glass they used for my IPAs. The fancy glass filled up, and the water left behind in the pint glass is the amount of beer you don't get with their short pours. It clearly shows the fancy glass only holds about 10-12 oz, and the remaining water in the pint glass represents the missing beer compared to a full 16‑oz pint. Essentially, a 12 oz pour means you're being shorted one‑quarter of a beer. At that rate, a full pint would cost $12. And with a 10 oz pour, a full pint would work out to $14.40. Everything else was excellent, but the beer pour practice feels misleading. Most people ordering draft beer expect a pint, and the menu doesn't indicate otherwise. Great food and service, but the beer pours should be clearly disclosed. I recommend eating here, just ask for a pint glass!
