I had the Wednesday special - chicken fried stake with green beans and mashed potatoes. Everything on the plate was very delicious. Was in the Jarrell, Texas area for work today, and I asked my customers where I could find a good burger close by. The unanimous answer was "the cafe at the Texas Truck Wash" in a gas station. Looked like a hole in the wall cafe, but glad we tried it!! Bacon Cheeseburger 9/10 - thick and juicy patty with fresh veggies. The bacon was meh, but the burger overall was incredible! Curly Fries 7/10 - slightly crunchy and great flavor. Sweet Tea 5/10 - it's was decent. Atmosphere 6/10 - no frills, hole in the wall cafe. Service 6.5/10 - it was ok. The staff overall were nice. We just moved to the city, and decided to try this place out for lunch. To be honest, we weren't expecting much, because we haven't been lucky lately with hole in the walls. But it was great! I had the melt on rye and my bf had a double cheeseburger. We were pleasantly surprised and left very satisfied. It would be awesome if they stayed open later, since we'd much rather support local, but maybe that will change as they grow. Tip: Easy to park- Connected to a gas station. It's just a little hole in the wall but the burgers and other menu items are ALWAYS delicious and amazing. Would 100% recommend you try it.

My favorite thing about these hamburgers is just the perfect amount of char on the outside of the patty. It perfectly soaks up the flavor and seasoning. These are outstanding hamburgers that are very humbly priced. The staff is very friendly. read more

On our way to Dallas we stopped here for breakfast. Situated inside a service station, this place is simple and no frills with a menu that may be simplistic but serves up a delicious home cooked taste. We were greeted almost immediately and asked what we would like to drink as we took a seat. We asked for coffee and were given our menus and after a few minutes were asked if we were ready to order. Both my partner in crime and I went for omelettes (I asked for a cheese and sausage both minus bread and hash browns) and it didn't take long for it to get served up. As we waited, we chatted and observed at least a couple of what we assumed to be regulars coming in to either chat with the employees as they purchased from the service station side of the business. Just had the Reuben and wife had the cheeseburger. The Reuben was delicious and not overpowered by the sauerkraut perfectly cooked. Fries are the best in town seasoned just right and not too greasy. Portions are generous both of us had leftovers. Wife said her cheeseburger was great juicy and flavorful. We ordered over the phone so can't tell you about the atmosphere but it's inside a convenience store. 4 stars for food 1 star for the hours I would love to get my dinner there or at least eat there on the weekends but they are closed early and not open weekends. I have been here several time for both breakfast and lunch. There food is GREAT. So you ask why the ONE STAR? That's a GOOD question and an easy answer. Today was one of several times I have gone in to eat breakfast and after standing at the counter for several minutes waiting for the owner to come assist me, as she was cooking, here is what happened. They open at 7:00am. I went in at 8:35am. When I tried to order breakfast, she told me she had already started cooking for lunch and was unable to make a breakfast. SAY WHAT???? 8:30AM is BREAKFAST TIME. They had only been open for 1 1/2 hrs and she is no longer cooking breakfast? This is not the first time this has happened. Also, on more than one occasion when I have ordered breakfast she acts like she is doing me a favor by cooking my order, that I am PAYING FOR. I have been told more than once she does not really enjoy cooking omelets. Add in the few times where they are open yet nobody is there because they were driving children to school..... this is not a business. It is a hobby! So, to be totally fair... I give their food flavor a 5 Star Rating. I give their prices a 4 Star Rating. I give their overal appearance a 3 Star Rating (at best, possibly even a 2 Star) and I give their Service and Attitude a 1 STAR RATING. This place use to be the absolute best place to stop in and eat. Now they have new cooks who I assume just can't stand to cook. I've stopped in and tried to eat breakfast around 9 am multiple times and have stopped in several times around 130 in the afternoon. Every time I get the same responses from the little Spanish lady for breakfast it's I've stopped cooking breakfast and already started on lunch or I'm not taking any more orders there's literally no one else in the place. They definitely should hire the old cook to come back. read more

The chicken fried steak was so crispy and seasoned perfectly. Mashed potatoes and green beans were spot on and to top it off a delicious homemade hot roll! All that plus tea for $7.85 .
