They offer a good variety of beers on tap to choose from as well as quick and easy bites. The burgers are pretty good as well. The wings were "ok" in my opinion and needed more seasoning. The cashier and server were super busy so i will not fault them on service, but a smile wouldn't hurt. The restrooms are very clean and well maintained. The prices can be a bit on the high side for this demographic but seeing what all they offer makes up for it i suppose. So if you are ever travelling through Rockdale, stop on by the taphouse for a quick bite and craft beer. Try it out for yourself.

Very small place with a lot of cars. No way that many people could be inside and the wait must be forever. I was wrong. Menu is posted outside so figure what you want first. Went with my go-to, single chz burger, no tomatoes and mayo. I go in and on one side are a whole row of old school, all in one school desks. The kind if you are left handed, you were in a bind. Order my burger to go, and they handed me my food before I could sit down. Super fast. Sat down in my truck and dug it. It was so good. Just the way I like it. A little greasy where all the flavors mix together. If you ever find yourself passing thru, you gotta grab one.

My daughter-in-law had gotten a new refrigerator right before they left for vacation so there was barely anything in it. I had never even ordered takeout from any place in Taylor or Hutto and it took me a while to find something that could accommodate all my needs -but Randy's Icehouse to the rescue!! The first time I ate there I had my grandsons with me and we all had burgers along with some fries and onion rings we shared and everything was delicious and cooked to order. Yesterday, I chose a Chicken Fried Steak dinner with a baked potato , a side of mushrooms and a side salad. I enjoyed the CFS once I removed most of the breading (don't get me wrong. It was nice and crispy-I just wasn't in the mood for it) it was easy to remove, and the steak itself was cooked properly, there was cream gravy to go over it, and I ate it with my canned Mushrooms on the side. My Baked Potato was on the small side, but it was delicious and all the logical condiments like shredded cheese, sour cream, & butter were all included (in little cups) so I could use what and how much of those I wanted. It also came with a slice of Texas Toast and a Side Salad, which was freshly chopped lettuce with bacon, and croutons, and had the blue cheese dressing I had ordered on the side. Even without the breading on the meat, I was full before I ever made it to the Texas toast. I focused on the chicken fried steak, the gravy and the baked potato. It was all very good. Not sure why, but I didn't care for the mushrooms too much , I knew they would be canned, but they had a little bit of a tinny flavor so I ate a couple of those, but then left the rest. The blue cheese dressing was great, not sure if it was homemade, but there were small chunks of blue cheese evident, which I appreciated. Because I had filled up on my steak and potato I only ate about a third of the salad. The only thing I missed was the woman who was our server last time I went with my grandsons -as she was very pleasant and nice to talk to! I'm very grateful they were open on the Fourth of July weekend and even more grateful that Toast was able to deliver it to me out at my son's house-which I consider to be in the boonies -but then a lot of Taylor /Coupland area is! Looks like this is going to be my go to place if I need some good home cooking out that way!! If you haven't been it's worth the drive!!!

People, staff, guests were all polite and genuine. We missed that very much. The walls remastered with reminders of how connected to the community they are.
