I came here in a bind searching for better headgear for my C-PAP Machine. The store has a lot of different items for home medical needs. But the sleep apnea stuff I noticed is extremely expensive. The headgear is made of neoprene and velcro, it likely costs the manufacturer $10 to make but they were selling it for nearly $200!! I was flabbergasted. It's half the price on Amazon. So after seeing that I didn't even bother looking at masks because they would be over priced as well. So looks like your health and well being is being controlled by insurance companies, and your wallet as to how much you are willing to spend. I was hoping this would have been a resource to go for my sleep apnea needs but not at those outrageous prices. I gave them 2-stars instead of 1 because the lady I spoke to there was very nice and professional, and she was empathetic to my thoughts on the affordability. read more

I reached out to Corner Home Medical in Rochester, the Med City of America. I waited for hours on hold to speak with anyone about cpap service. This was a huge waist of time. I even called my sleep clinician here in Rochester for help getting an appointment, and they were unable to get through. It seems like Corner Home Medical does'nt really care if you call them or not. I detest businesses like Corner Home Medcal. Follow up info: I never heard from the person mentioned below by Corner Medical. But earlier, after I finally got a live person at Corner Medical, I asked the representative, "who is your #1 competitor?' They said, "Reliable Medical" in Rochester. I messaged my practitioner to send Reliable my prescription, I followed up right away with Reliable. Reliable got me instantly in direct contact with the Sleep clinician who offered me an appointment within 48 hours! read more

By calling ahead, I had all the information needed to work with ordering my CPAP machine and supplies. I was told that I do not need an appointment. This is a pretty large purchase, somewhere above 3K. I've worked customer service, satisfaction and patient care for years. When the customer arrives, you can simply glance up and acknowledge his/her presence with a nod, smile, or a quick "We'll be with you shortly.". Easy. Not here. We saw 4 employees and 2 customers, one with an employee and the other sitting alone on a chair. One employee on the phone with a customer, another on her computer. Last employee came out from the back to discuss something with her coworker, then returned to the back. We walked by each employee desk, so we were noticed. We looked at every item on the store, and the store is nicely laid out and well supplied. Not one employee looked up at us to acknowledge our presence, which is all we expect when on other tasks. We don't expect a party when we open the door, but we would hope that our needs are important and worthwhile. We went to another supplier, and will be completing our 3K+ order there. read more

We often visit Mayo Clinic. Since we were visiting this time for 10 days, I thought we should rent an oxygen concentrator for my husband, which he uses at night only, with a cpap machine. (If we travel for just a few days we just take the cpap machine.) I called in advance of our trip. They gave us the rental price. We agreed. And all they needed was a credit card and a note from our local doctor. Upon arriving at Mayo I called to confirm that it was ready. It was. I picked up paid their rental fee, no hassles. We discovered that my husband forgot the small part that links the cpap to the oxygen concentrator. I called them to ask if they had those. Indeed they did and they would supply it for free. Also they gave us tubing and cannulas with the O2 Concentrator. I couldn't be more impressed! The store was clean and up to date, very nice. Everything was handled professionally, politely, and on time. The only little thing was their delivery fee which was expensive. For a lot less money I picked it up myself with a Lyft. This was not a problem for me. If you're visiting Mayo and you need medical supplies I would recommend going to Corner Medical Supply. read more
