Great service, knowledgeable staff and quality work, what more could you ask for in any business?

Anderson Wheelchair is convenient because it is so close to Mayo and I hope that not everyone has the same experience as me. Here is my story. I will never be returning to them. I literally had just learned that I was not able to put weight on my leg and I was 100% at risk of a femur fracture and we were leaving for a trip the next day. I got a prescription from my doctors for a wheelchair and we were all set to pick the wheelchair up. It turns out that the wheelchair prescription wasn't worded correctly for a lightweight wheelchair so we needed a new prescription. At this point, it was approaching 4:30 and they close at 5:00. Michelle was the one 'helping' us and it was very evident that she hates her job and possibly life in general. She was rude and unhelpful. Trying to get the prescription edited so we could be on our way, I had a doctor on speaker phone from Mayo outside of the OR trying to assist and she refused to be helpful or even give that incredible doctor the time of day. He rewrote the script for me and emailed it over to her, and she had attitude just waiting for the email to confirm it had made it to her. The doctor asked that she open it and make sure it is worded properly and by this time, it was 4:59 and she said she didn't have time and that she would look at it in the morning. I don't care as much that she was rude to me, but to be rude to a doctor taking the time of day out of the actual OR to try and assist and be treated like crap by her was absolutely unacceptable. When we went to return the wheelchair, she was still miserable, but slightly more pleasant than the first experience. I will never be back as I don't think the rest of the world should suffer depending on what Michelle's mood is that day. And to the doctor who helped me out, he deserves an award for going above and beyond and this speaks volumes to his patient care. He is amazing and Michelle could learn a thing or two about compassion and empathy from him. read more

I first met Mr. Anderson while in rehab at St Mary's Generous hospital. I currently spend my days in a motorized wheelchair that came from Andersons. Since I've had over a dozen interactions with Anderson's Wheelchair, some at the hospital, some at their store and a few at my residence. I have yet to be disappointed or leave without my issue(s) being resolved. I would highly recommend Anderson's especially as a go to for wheelchair maintenance. They do have available almost any thing for sale you would need but when it comes to service they are the best. Hats off to Frank (and crew), in my mind Frank is a walking encyclopedia on how to fix or what to recommend in handicap accessories and equipment. Anderson's are good people providing a much needed service and I feel fortunate to have them filling my needs...and they've always been pleasant to deal with!! Mike L., Mantorville Mn. read more

I will never use this company again. I called one day ahead of when it was supposed to be delivered to cancel and I was charged anyway. The person that I spoke to couldn't give a shit. This is not the first time this has happened. I will never use scooter around or this company ever has they are not people of their wordand totally indifferent to the needs of customer. and totally indifferent to the needs of customer. Update: They sent the screws for the seat pan plates and a wrench for the backrest. My seat pan is now attached. The wrench didn't fit, so my back rest is still at the wrong height. We also discovered while figuring out how to reconnect the seat cushion ourselves (since they didn't do that either) that they didn't reattach the chassis cover or the cover to the seat elevator. These are basic things that are not getting done here! I don't even know what we paid money for at this point except the replacement part, because I certainly did NOT receive a working chair. I rented a wheelchair from this establishment and when I returned it within the appropriate time to avoid a second charge I placed it in a bay marked "returned rentals". I was not aware that I had to sign off for the return and did not discover I was still being charged for the rental until I saw the withdrawal from my account. When I called to straighten out the error they would only refund me $95 when I was charged $190 twice. The person on the phone claims they only just found the wheelchair the day before. read more

Anderson wheelchairs has continued to Bill me for rental 100% covered by my insurance. This is for surgery in May 2017 it is now Dec. 2o17 and they are still sending me bills despite my having called and visited in person numerous times. My insurance claims payment. In addition they were rude and not helpful. read more

Needed a recliner for our hotel/apartment during 6-week stay for treatment at Mayo Clinic. Anderson knew what recliner to deliver based on the users size. Then efficiently delivered it. Dave, the delivery person, helped me move the furniture so the recliner would work in the space. They also picked it up after we had been released. Would recommend them! read more

Wonderful service. The airlines broke my chair pretty badly and they got me right in, fixed the broken parts, then gave the whole chair a tune up. I was in and out of there in about 20 minutes and the price for all the work was much much lower than I expected. Wish I lived close--good service on manual wheelchairs is hard to find. read more

Wonderful customer service. We needed a shower chair and Jay knew exactly what we needed. We also needed a foot replaced on a walker and Jay replaced the legs with no charge because the screws were stripped. Thank you! read more

They ordered an inadequate wheelchair for me for my current and future needs. Then they didn't submit all charges to my insurance, I found out recently, and I paid more out-of-pocket expenses than I should have. Fair customer service. Mediocre workmanship. Overpriced. read more
