My wife and I decided to give this deli a try after I read some very positive reviews…read more We usually make the drive (15 miles) to Canters for our deli sandwiches where she always orders the roast beef sandwich. It's the only sandwich she will order as a roast beef purist. She ordered the rare roast beef sandwich today at Gelsinger's and was impressed by the look of the sandwich and even more impressed with the first bite. Sadly she informed me that we no longer needed to go to Canters. That won't happen and I can enjoy both places. I ordered the roast beef dip and it was delicious. The onion rings were high quality with good flavor and crunchy. The place is very clean and inviting. The customer service was great and very friendly. We definitely will be back to try their burgers and for sure the muffuletta. Don't worry Canters, I will be back soon.

I didn't check the price but I'm wishing it still had the price tag from 1975 on it. Made me think of the Werewolf of London drinking a Pina Colada and his hair was perfect. Another good find was a dusty bottle of Crème de Menthe. It made me want to look up the recipe for a Grasshopper. I don't know if these old mixer's are for sale or just museum pieces. The sandwiches look pretty good, I'll have to try one another time. Overall the veggie pizza was pretty good, but a bit heavy on the veggies. I generally like fewer toppings, but everyone is different. I suppose in the future I could ask to go light on the toppings. But I'd rather they be generous rather than skimpy.

The sandwiches here have become my favorite in the city and maybe my top 3 in LA. There is something about the sandwiches here that really stand out. Starting from the bread, I've literally fell in love with the crunchiness and softness of the bread. What I also noticed is that they take the dough out which makes it even more pleasant. And now the main event, that tender and smoky pastrami has become my favorite sandwich. I've had many pastrami in LA including the famous Langers but this one has become my favorite. That smokie and tenderness of the meat which pairs perfectly with the bread is unbelievably good. If it ain't Rayz way then I don't want it. I've been stuck on the pastrami for a while and I may try out the Spicy Italian next as I've also heard good things about that sandwich. In addition, the service here has been outstanding. Keep in mind it's super busy during certain hours so I highly suggest calling in for orders. It's a must have for me atleast once a week if not twice. Nice little shop with friendly owners ready to assist. Whenever I need something very quick I don't want to stop by Ralph's or Vons this is my stop. A lot of community folks come here to do their main shopping there a lot of different type of Armenian foods and ethnic foods available they also have fresh cold cuts which the slice for you along with a bunch of cheese selections. If you go in the morning they also have fresh bread from different bakery's as well as pastries placed in plastic containers for you to take home and enjoy. My only problem with this place is the parking the parking is nonexistent because it's located between a bunch of residential properties with lots of cars always parked on the street. I wish they would have convenient parking and I would've been shopping here more often. read more

We moved over to this part of town and were legit looking specifically for a good sandwich spot, and we couldn't resist the "best sandwiches in town" sign out front. Oh man. I was really hoping to like this place but saw something that was unsanitary and it turned me off. The owner took my money and closed the drawer and without using gloves went immediately and continued to make a sandwich. It was really disgusting. Another employee named Ani then came from the back and dismissively remarked, "Who wants to work on a Saturday?" Turning away paying customers before your own early-closing sign is unprofessional enough, but treating patrons with outright attitude and laziness takes it to another level. If you don't want to work on a Saturday, don't work at a business that operates on Saturdays. Completely disappointing experience.

Their classic burger has a perfectly toasted bun, it has a really beefy burger patty, and it has that perfect balance of all the veggies. If you want a bacon cheeseburger, their "bacon crispinator" doubles down on crispiness with their bacon and onion strings, but it's balanced with melty cheese. My wife ordered their oinkster pastrami, which we also enjoyed thoroughly. They serve a thin pastrami here, but our sandwich was absolutely loaded with it. Their mustard has nice flavor and a kick that balances everything. My favorite thing here are their fries with garlic aioli. Make sure you also get their house made chipotle ketchup, which has addictive sweet and tangy flavors. Overall, Oinkster was far better than I remember from my last visit over ten years ago. This is not a mom-and-pop burger spot - the food and condiments are definitely elevated and homemade, which makes a difference, and I'll definitely be back.

Sorry kids, while I love everything about, I just can no longer find the value in it. It's a sad day. But I believe this is the last Oinkster Pastrami for me.

We really enjoyed the outdoor seating, casual nature of the place and the parking in the back. Pastrami was well balanced between the pickles, coleslaw and meat. The bread had the right amount of crunch. Very well executed, would definitely order again. The double smash burger had sweet pickles and jalapeños and cut the fat of the meat nicely. Super tasty and easy to eat. The beef tallow fries were tasty, well fried and well seasoned. The basket was the perfect size to share (2 adults and a toddler). Overall, we will definitely be back!

We were immediately greeted by the owner who excels at friendly banter and salesmanship (not in a pushy way - he clearly loves what he does and wants people to enjoy good food, so he happily gave some recommendations). We got the lule with a sparkling water and a salad, then were surprised with an extra side of rice so we could try the ghee and another sparkling water, courtesy of the owner. The chicken was incredibly moist and flavorful and I loved the added bonus of the onions that we could pull together into a wrap. I can't complain about the price either because between the 2 of us, we were satisfyingly full with just one order. Excellent spot for a casual lunch or takeout. The flavor of the rice was alright, but the consistency was too watery/ mushy. I liked the humus - the flavors weren't overbearing. Overall, it was okay. The portion was good but the place in general is a little overpriced. Service was alright, the girl taking our order was nice but nothing stood out. PS - no trash cans. When you're done, you have to walk over to a large dumpster to throw your trash in.
