Corner Scone is an incredible Lodi gem! I just discovered this place, via Yelp a week or so ago and I am so glad that I did. I took an assortment of scones, muffins & coffee cake to a few of my clients in town. Everyone was super excited when I told them I brought them goodies from this spot. I also managed to purchase a Lemon Poppyseed scone for myself and OMG...it was the most delicious scone i've ever had! Perfectly buttery & not overly dry. The icing on it was light and refreshing. Also, they sell temple coffee there, which is my favorite. I will definitely become a regular at this spot very soon. read more

I just had two scones from Corner Scone (for research purposes, of course) and I can confidently say that they are doing an excellent job here. The chocolate chip and the lemon poppyseed were both great, though I might give the edge to lemon poppyseed. These scones are much softer than I'm used to, which was a nice change of pace from the hard scones of big commercial shops. read more

I come in here quite often now after I drop my oldest off at school. We love the lemon poppy seed and the mixed berry scones. The girls are always super sweet and are always friendly to my youngest son who is almost 2. The scones are the best I have ever had. Always full of flavor and pretty moist. My only draw backs are which gives it 4 instead of 5 stars is there is never any available seating. I wish they would get a few more tables for outside. When I first started coming they would have a bigger variety of scones. Usually 4 different kinds which Is nice. Lately we only have 2 choices. I have yet to try anything else but everything looks amazing. read more

This is definitely my favorite bakery in Lodi. Cute little corner spot with great pastries. Didn't realize they served lunch until I went there after lunch with a girlfriend to grab coffee and a pastry. It's a small place so I wouldn't recommend going with a huge group of people. If you love traditional scones, you may be a bit disappointed. The scones are tasty but are more cakey/fluffy. overall, a really cute spot. read more

The day we went to this bakery, we were expecting a real treat but sadly to say, we were totally disappointed. We bought several items to take home and enjoy, but there was no enjoying the items we got. The scones we bought were dense and tasteless. the apple turnovers had several small pieces of apple on one side and the other side was just dough. The muffins were also dry and tasteless. I don't like writing this review as I hope this cute bakery does well. the only thing I can suggest is that they taste their own products. We must have caught them on a very off day. This is my favorite little bakery/coffee shop in town. I take my friends and family here whenever I can. The food is fun and so delicious. The drinks are great. I have no complaints. I am so glad I don't live in Lodi! This place would get me in so much trouble! We got a few things so we could try a variety. We got cinnamon rolls and they were sooo good! You can tell that they are fresh. Just the right amount of icing and cinnamon flavor. I'm a sucker for a good peanut butter cookie. Just the appearance in the jar made me want one. Nice and soft in the middle and nice and crunchy on the outside. Sooo good! I also got a toffee bar (I think that's what it's called). OMG! Sooooo good! The cutest little bakery ever. It's a little hidden on California street but their products are amazing! I've had the maple bacon scone, the raspberry Italian soda, and their apple pie. The scone was great, perfect balance of sweet and savory and the raspberry Italian soda was amazing! I had it with a splash of half and half and you can really taste the raspberry in it. I bought the apple pie for my mom on Mother's Day and it was great. It wasn't overly sweet and I highly recommend it. I just wish they could make it bigger! Staff was also amazing. Meh. I am really trying to love this place but it's hard. It's adorable and looks amazing but the baked good are just okay. The scones are on the tough side--they should be melt in your mouth but they are toothsome--maybe over-mixed and too much gluten forms or the butter pockets aren't big enough? Everything I've tried is mediocre and lacks flavor or interest. The breakfast sandwich is delicious but far too small and the oatmeal is a tiny portion in a glass jar for $4 and is overly sweet. I would suggest making it less sweet so people can add the sweetness they desire and forget the cute jar because I just want a normal portion of oatmeal in a paper cup please! read more

Will preface that my other two experiences here were good. However, came in this morning, ordered two coffees, a breakfast sandwich and the house special, which is nothing more than a waffle, bacon and egg. Coffees and breakfast sandwich came out within a normal time frame. I finished my breakfast sandwich, mind you, at an extremely leisurely pace, so I asked one of the girls if the other order was almost done. She responded "yeah, they're still working on it". Continued waiting... watched several other customers leave with boxes of pastries, their orders, etc. After waiting another 10 minutes, walked in once again, and there was so explanation as to the hold up. Asked for a refund, wasn't reciprocated with any type of apology or anything. I think some new staff are being trained, but regardless, that shouldn't be my problem. If in a hurry or wanting a quick breakfast, may not be the spot. Food is good, coffee good but don't know that I will drive from Stockton agin to come here. read more

Decided to try out the high tea with four friends. As a Brit, and tea expert ( we do not always call it high tea) , I was very disappointed. Tables were beautifully set; definitely not enough room for 5 people around table. A pot of Earl Grey tea was placed on the table, without anyone being asked as to what kind of tea they would like to order. To me, Earl Grey is like tea with perfume added; not what most Brits drink. None of my friends liked this tea. We then asked for pot of hot water, with teas of our preference. Time lapse between bites, or indeed, even prior to first bite was much too long. Subsequent to sorbet and biscuit, we were served hot scones with lemon curd, jam and what was supposed to be similar to clotted cream. SOUR CREAM has never, ever been a substitute for clotted cream. In addition, amount served for 5 people was ridiculous. Most tea rooms serve all items on a 3 tiered cake tower, or similar. Two friends requested new forks, as theirs had dropped on the floor. Assistant offered to wash them, however, they requested clean forks. They were informed that forks were part of a set, and could only be washed?????? This was first visit to a tea room for one friend. Very disappointing experience, but we gave it a try read more

Rolling Scones is a breath of fresh air! A local place who MAKES THEIR OWN PASTERIES?!?!? They also carry a local coffee roaster, Blackwater Roasting Co. I'd never tried that coffee before (or even heard of it), but I must say, they've got my vote for flavor. I'm a fan of a good dark roast, no creamer or anything floofy and it was the perfect compliment to a fresh-out-of-the-oven apple turnover. SO good! The is only one reason I rated this 3 stars: the advertising of "Gluten Free Friday." I want so badly to support this business, but unfortunately I have a gluten sensitivity. I think it was the owner lady who told me that they do a special offering of gluten free scones, but only on Fridays. I totally understand the one day a week. I've tried baking gluten free breads and cookies and while they are tasty, there are a LOT of expensive ingredients that go into them. Once a week also keeps me from over-doing the baked goods, let's be honest :) But after looking forward to this for a week, I go into the shop today (Friday) at 6:35am (shop opens at 6am) and there weren't any gluten free scones! I was so disappointed...the lady at the register said they wouldn't be out of the oven for another half hour, but since I work early in Stockon, I couldn't wait the 1/2 hour and still make it to work on time :( It seems to me that if you're going to advertise a gluten free day, you should have at least one gluten free thing ready to go when you open, right? Either that or switch the gluten free day to Saturday? The aliteration isn't as cool, but then those of us who work early would be able to support the business! read more

Grandmas cinnamon rolls are delicious as is the quiche and hot chocolate. It is busy on the weekend but worth the wait.

I've been waiting for the opening and I was NOT disappointed. The pastries are to die for! The pumpkin muffins are sooooooo moist. The mixed berry scone likewise was delightful. Besides pastries, the quiche was very tasty. I am looking forward to tasting the homemade soup. I highly recommend Rolling Scones as your next stop.
