Our first visit since moving to Lodi. First impression was it was clean and modern with so much comfy seating. The young lady was pleasant and welcomed us as we entered. If we had questions she was kind enough to answer. We tried the Banana Pudding Crepe and a dragon fruit lemonade with sweet cream. My daughter substituted with Nutella no problem. She said it was so good and tasty. Very filling. The drink was very sweet so next time I'll ask for a smaller dose of the cream. Other than that it was refreshing. Great Ambience! They have great chill pop music playing from early 2000's and the mix of woody modern design with the brick walls invoked a cozy, chill, and inviting place for youth and young adults. The brownie had a great fudge-like texture but it was topped with more rich chocolate and then some frosting, in my opinion, it's overly sweet. The Dubai Chocolate Mocha was beautiful in appearance and just as much in flavor. It was creamy, balanced in chocolate and coffee and not too much additives for the Dubai Chocolate experience so this was a great choice of a mid-day beverage. The experience was also very pleasant with the barista/cashier showing great customer service attitude and a smile worth complimenting. With a combination of all these factors, I'd give the overall experience a solid 7/10: nothing over the top but still a great lowkey/chill experience for friends and family to fellowship or study. read more

I ended up giving The Hangout a second chance after the owner reached out to me. I appreciate him reaching out, it really seems like he cares about his business and that he really values customers. The Hangout is still as beautiful as I remember it, but now their menu has expanded! I was really surprised to see how much they added to their menu. I ordered a Cookie Butter crepe and a matcha. This time the crepe was cooked well & was very yummy. I can tell that they really took their time and effort when making the food. If there is one place in Lodi that never lets me down it is The Hangout. Gavin and the whole team always make us feel right at home. Today was my first day finally getting out of the house and choosing The Hangout was the best decision. The moment I walked in I felt lighter. The food was amazing as always. Fresh flavorful comforting everything you want when you are easing back into the world. And my ten year old absolutely loves it here. She can sit and play cards sip her drink enjoy her food and nobody rushes us. Ever. It is one of the few places where you actually feel welcomed to stay awhile and just breathe. The vibe is cozy clean and relaxing. The staff is kind. The service is consistent. And it truly feels like they care about the people who walk through their doors. Cozy coffee shop in downtown Lodi. The Ghirardelli white chocolate mocha was hot and creamy. Perfect for the cold December evening we went. The dirty chai latte had good spice to warm you up. Hello, I'm writing to share a disappointing experience I had during a late-night visit with my children at your location. When we arrived, the first thing we did was wash our hands and then asked to use the restroom. We were told it had just been cleaned and that we would be notified when it was ready. Unfortunately, that never happened. I also asked for a rag so I could clean our table myself, and I was told someone would be there shortly again, no one ever came. To make matters worse, my kids used the games, which were extremely dirty. At that point, they really needed to wash their hands, but the restroom was still not available. I understand that it was late and staff may have been busy, but basic cleanliness and communication especially when families with children are involved should be a priority. No greeting or help from the 3 young adults working behind the counter.
