After one visit, WTSP is immediately on our favorite places list, and we cannot wait to come back. The bread is homemade in the best way possible, and the attention to details - the absolutely perfect fries as example - shine through. This food is made by a kitchen that cares. And same for the pizza. I was nervous because I saw everyone ordering REALLY delicious looking Detroit style pizza, but we went with a round, hand tossed, pepperoni number. And man alive, I am glad we did. It was up there with some of the best pizza I've had in Michigan, which if you know Michigan, is saying a LOT. Long story short, this place rules. I consistently get good pizzas and other products here. And I think they've maintained their professionalism. This update covers several items that are driven by their corporate policies. Specifically their insistence of dicing up their onions and green peppers into little pieces. It's such an odious process, that I don't even order them on my pies any more. Secondly is their bold pepperoni, which is normally a product that I love. However, this specific product has some sort of rubbery casing on it. I don't know what it is, but it's disgusting. And so I've had to abandon this on my orders also. It's literally like a rubberband on the edge of the pepperoni. See photo.

We had got there around five and the place was steadily filling up as we sat. Mary, our waitress was very knowledgeable and kind. We felt fairly good about what we had ordered. But let me tell you once we got it, it blew our minds. My wife's pizza was outstanding. She said maybe the best she's ever had. I rolled my eyes and then she offered me a bite. And it was. Truly. A lot of times when you order pizza it's falling off of the crust. It's uneven. This was perfection. She couldn't believe it. Frankly neither could I. The crust was soft and you couldn't tell it from the toppings. No separation nothing falling off and cooked so well. My chicken cherry salad is a favorite in Michigan and they did it right. Each portion was great and more than enough for the both of us. We talked about it the rest of the night. If you have the chance, make sure you visit. It's one of a kind and one of the best experiences we have had for old favorites made new.
