A Wonderful Place to Celebrate! We had another opportunity to visit The Corner Yogurt, this time to celebrate Mom's 88th birthday and boy, was it a blast! Packing the place with all of her family and friends was no problem at all. Inside and outside, everyone had a wonderful time enjoying each other's company, sharing lots of laughs, and, of course, enjoying a delicious cup of yogurt. Setting up the celebration with General Manager Eduardo couldn't have been easier. He made the entire process simple and stress-free, and his staff was absolutely outstanding. They welcomed everyone with warm, friendly service and made our family and friends feel right at home. I know the delicious yogurt speaks for itself, but when you combine it with the great atmosphere, friendly staff, and how easy they make it to host a celebration, The Corner Yogurt is definitely the place to go! A huge thank you to Eduardo and the entire Corner Yogurt team for hosting our celebration and helping make Mom's 88th birthday such a special and memorable occasion. I used to come every single Monday with my 85 year-old mother because they offered gluten-free yogurt clearly labeled. Today I went in and they have changed their labeling and I asked Linda to help me figure out which flavor is gluten-free. Her response was for me to just scan the barcode which I did and they did not tell me anything other than nutrition when I asked her for additional help she refused and was very rude. I was surprised how rude she was because all the other people who worked there have been very polite. I stumbled on this shop last year, and I have been hooked ever since. First, you walk in & it's, bright, whimsical, and clean. The yogurt is always good, and I love that there are a nice range of flavors. But this rating is more for the owner, Eduardo. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted warmly by Eduardo. Once you get to the counter, he ALWAYS gives a "how is your day going?" But, it's not done in the obligatory customer service way; he is actually interested. Eduardo is warm and kind! Parking is easily found in the area, not fitted for groups but plenty of 2-3 seater tables inside and a large bench outside :) staff who was ringing us up was very nice, but the whole process is basically self serve with a large selection of toppings :) my favorite flavor was the pineapple! The tables are outside on the sidewalk. The shop has five machines that offer ten of the typical flavors, plus twist combos. Corner Yogurt is a self service fro-yo system. You grab a cup, dispense the frozen yogurt, add toppings if you want, weigh it, and pay. Okay, price per ounce at this location was $0.76/oz on Nov 29, '23. (The cup credit is $0.30) I've been reviewing fro-yo places for over a month now, and $0.76/oz is a little high. But how was the frozen yogurt? My fro-yo selections were Mango, Strawberry, and Choco/Vanilla Twist. The fruity flavors were sweet, dense, with a little icy bite. The Choco/Vanilla wasn't as sweet, and had a slight chalky after taste. This shop is located on the corner of Woodside Rd & Beresford Ave. There's a small parking lot in the back, but I found parking along the curb on Beresford Ave. Would I come back? my favorite froyo spot recently!! this spot has a bit of seating, mostly outdoor, and a ton of candy/toppings. the froyo variety isn't huge but they have something for everyone. the texture is what really stands out - very thick and creamy, doesn't melt too fast (especially when you compare to spots like yogurtland). their flavors are also super delicious and feel like they have more depth than a chain froyo spot. highly recommend! read more

They have a great variety of flavors, very tasty frozen yogurt. I got strawberry, toasted marshmallows, and chocolate. All 3 tasted great. Strawberry can taste syrupy usually, which this wasn't. We were driving through Redwood City and stopped in here. Such a cute spot with plenty of street parking. It's still pandemic times and I'll support the local independent businesses. The kids really, really like this place. I rarely have frozen yogurt myself but we come here a lot. On the rare occasion that I actually have yogurt, I add the fresh fruit not candy toppings. The fruit freezes when you mix it in and it's super refreshing on a hot day. Herein lies the problem. Often times some of their fruit selections are almost empty or completely empty. The kids don't care (or notice) as they just want cookies and gummies in their yogurt. But I notice. A couple of times I was considering buying a yogurt for myself but didn't after checking the bins and seeing the fruit is gone. Not too much of a biggie, but odd. Well, imagine my surprise when we came in on Friday and saw this rude "NO SOUP FOR YOU!" sign (Seinfeld fans will get that reference). Bizarre. Look Corner Yogurt: Cut up some more damned fruit. Quit being cheap or lazy or whatever your issue is. Just cut up the fruit before the store opens and store it properly like every other flippin' frozen yogurt store does. My family and I enjoy going to Corner Yogurt. However, I have noticed that the service is not up to the mark. Although I have not encountered any rude employees, they are not very friendly or welcoming either. I try to avoid going there within an hour of their closing time since they begin cleaning up and putting toppings away. While I don't mind the cleaning, it is not acceptable to put the toppings away before closing time. As someone who has worked in the hospitality industry for a long time, I know that good service means that you serve your customers even if they come in just two minutes before closing. It may not be around the corner from me, but if it's froyo - I am there. Sample cups - yes! The employee gave us one for free range sampling. Toppings - cookie dough was yummy, the others were standard fare candy, they also had trail mix, higher quality looking granola, and different levels of chocolate chips, the brownie bites looked....like a skip Yogurt quality - thicker than Yogurtland, but not as thick as my fave Yumi. They use Yocream, and you can see it in plain view in the fridges in front. Flavors - the brownie was good, the marshmallow was good, the cotton candy was good. I wish there were less fruity flavors, but it seems they change them. They also have no fat, low fat, and gelato (froyo). Honestly, there are few froyo places in my vicinity that I haven't visited. I was pleasantly surprised today. I will be back! PSA (parking service announcement): A corner curb spot (imagine that) right to the left of Corner Yogurt. Ever since the frozen yogurt boom about 10 years ago, it's hit or miss finding a quality self-serve froyo spot. That said, Corner Yogurt has best yogurt I've had in years! This local shop serves tasty treats, from creamy flavors (red velvet, cake batter, chocolate, vanilla) to tart varieties (blueberry açai, pineapple, banana, pomegranate) to toppings such as fruit, cereal, syrups, and my favourites like mochi and granola. The yogurt is creamy, doesn't melt right away like froyo you'll find at other shops, and has a thick, almost custard-like texture. I loved the cake batter and vanilla, and plan to come back to try tart/fruity flavors. The flavors are true to name without being overly sweet or artificial. You can also vote on rotating flavors to be served next. There's a good amount of seating inside and a few tables outside. Staff was friendly and happy to give you a sample cup as well. Have been coming to this place for years since they opened and overall have loved the quality yogurt. However, the last two times the service has not been great and to be honest the workers have been very snobby. I asked to sample two flavors and one of the girls said "we only do one sample per person"and I replied that I didn't like the first flavor and she just shrugged her shoulders with attitude. As I was walking out one of the girls also kicked out a customer from one of their outdoor tables to rush out and close. The next time I went I asked for lids to go and asked for spoons and the girl at the counter rolled her eyes when I asked for spoons since I was taking them to go.
