I always enjoy Yumi Yogurt. The line gets LONG and as of now, the medium size is a little smaller than before. I usually get almonds in mine. Staff are nice. Yumi Yogurt not only offers frozen yogurt, but there is a huge selection of ice cream and toppings to choose from. My husband and I wanted to try the fro-yo and noticed that there are 6+ flavors to choose from and you can add a topping if you'd like. It's not self serve - you are greeted by one of the workers and you can tell them what you want. The workers here are efficient, and super nice so you can ask them if they recommend anything. My husband and I got the following: -1 small taro coconut cake with coconut topping -1 small raspberry cheesecake with cheesecake topping Our total came out to be around $17+ dollars I believe, but I wasn't mad because the servings here are super generous and more than enough for one person. I have to say that the frozen yogurt is DELICIOUS. It's so smooth, sweet, and really hits the spot. The taro coconut cake flavor was the perfect amount of ube flavoring and the coconut paired with it made it extra sweet, but complimented the flavor well. The raspberry cheesecake was delicious! After over 4 decades of enjoying this yogurt, I am leaving a review, mainly for the young, curly-haired, surfer-chill vibe of the teen worker who served me and a bunch of other people on a busy Wednesday afternoon. But what I found remarkable was that his laid-back and pleasant demeanor did not take away from his industrious and hard-working efforts as many impatient folks stood in line since the poor lad was working solo. The product speaks for itself, any fan of fro-yo will enjoy this place immensely. He was remarkable in patiently handling multiple orders and tastings from families with young ones while navigating online orders that walked in (facing packing errors - not his doing - and needing to refund on the spot). As soon as I walked in, there were three young employees working, and the first thing I noticed was that they were dressed very inappropriately for a workplace. Even though it was a hot and sunny day, I still think there should be a certain level of professionalism. Another thing that immediately stood out was that one of the employees was sitting on top of one of the counters, which is extremely unhygienic, especially in a place that serves food. At first, they greeted me politely, which I appreciated, but once I started placing my order, the young woman helping me became noticeably rude. I still continued with my order and got my ice cream, but when I went to add toppings, I noticed hair sitting on top of the toppings, specifically near the chocolate chips. That was honestly disgusting and very unsanitary. Even after seeing that, I still decided to pay and leave. However, during checkout, the employee continued being unfriendly. When I said "thank you" before leaving, she didn't even look at me or respond, she just kept looking down. Overall, the ice cream itself was delicious, and I do recommend the ice cream, but the customer service, professionalism, and hygiene seriously need improvement. Even the small is a lot so definitely recommend sharing with others. If you're hungry, I've finished a small myself but normally I split a medium or large with 1+ other people. FYI they have multiple locations and they all post their flavors on Facebook and Instagram (they change daily). I've been to most of their locations many times, probably my favorite dessert place in the Bay. My favorite is birthday cake but also love the toffee, nutella, and red velvet flavors. I remember one time they had a god tier lineup of birthday cake, toffee almond, and nutella kit kat all in one day, I was in heaven!! If you're calorie-conscious or want to consume large quantities of froyo guilt-free, would recommend getting their wow-cow or carbo-lite flavors. They taste amazing and you don't feel like you're skimping out at all just because they're lower calorie. This location has smaller parking lot, maybe 10 spots or less but the line goes quick so cars should turnover relatively fast. Yumi yogurt has been here since before we moved here in 2000. It was the first place we went to during the move in a hot July. They always have multiple flavors, they have the regular kind of frozen yogurt, and they have flavor burst, where the edge has the flavoring - both are super fun - I love toppings, but I can't always rely on them to have my favorite, white chips - or plain tart for that matter. But if they don't have my faves, I'll get 2 scoops of ice cream instead. They seem to go through enough ice cream that it doesn't have freezer burn, thank goodness. The line can get pretty loong in the hot summer evenings, but evryone is talking to each other and enjoying the evening, and they will get to you pretty quickly. I'm always impressed that they seem to be able to find high school kids to work there that seem happy to work there - the boss must pick them right. I miss my friend Kristin, we used to meet here.
