I have never been TO the bakery itself, but my friend who lives over in the area picks it up and brings it to me. Actually I make her pick it up and bring it bc ITS SOOO GOOD!!!! I'm shocked at the low reviews!! I've tried the apricot and raspberry rugala cookies which are buttery and perfect. I prefer the raspberry over the apricot. The snickerdoodle cookies are a must! Tried a piece of the quiche today and we LOVED IT! Eggs so fluffy and crust so buttery perfect!! A MUST is the pumpkin cream cheese muffin!!! I've never had a better muffin in my life. It's so light yet moist and flavorful. Has cream cheese in the middle and crumble on top. A crime they only have these in the fall!!! Needed a cake last minute for a colleague so I looked a place up online and ran into Woodside bakery. I was so impressed with the taste of everything the cake was so yummy I got a strawberry shortcake, a cheese danish a vanilla latte, and fruit tarts. Picked up carrot cake and berry Neapolitan slices and a loaf of lemon bread as staff said it was better than Apricot loaf Neapolitan was bland and didn't taste fresh. Regret buying this from the Sigonas market in Stanford shopping mall. As you can see, it's undercooked and it's very dense like a pound cake. I taste more of the cinnamon than bananas and it's a little on the sweet side. The banana bread from the La Boulangerie at the mall is so much better cuz my dad got it too lol. read more

I stopped into Woodside Bakery for a mid morning snack. I don't usually go out to Sharon Heights, but I was already in the area. They recently won Readers' Choice Best Bakery in our local paper so why not check it out. The bakery is, like the rest of the shopping center, a bit dated, not quite charming. There were many patrons and I was glad to use the time in line with my party to decide what I wanted to get. All the standard bakery fare was on display--pastries, danish, muffins, cookies, cakes, quiche etc. I had decided on the sticky bun but made a last minute switch to the raspberry cinnamon roll I hadn't been able to see previously. Having never been here before, I didn't know what the heating situation was. I decided to just go with the flow of the other patrons. Nothing was being heated and it wasn't offered during ordering. The cinnamon roll was tasty--soft, sweet, with raspberry sauce drizzled through the swirl-- but would have been improved heated. I would visit again if I was in the area and needed a pick me up, but don't see myself making a special trip otherwise. read more

A nurse of mine had brought in some pastries from Woodside Bakery & Cafe. She offered me I believe was a cranberry bran muffin (?) I'm not quite sure, but my goodness was it delicious! It was not overly sweet and it was moist. I really enjoyed that muffin. I really love muffins, and I was a bit hesitant as I never had bran before, but my nurse told me that it's filling and it satisfies you. I should have believed her, because I ate that during my break and come lunch time, I had no appetite at all to eat my lunch. It really kept me full for a few hours and I'm really glad that I got a chance to try the muffin. It was full of flavor (not bland at all) and moist, which is hard sometimes when making muffins. I'm hoping to make my way over there myself one of these days and try their other goodies. read more

I quickly grabbed one with raisins and one without, and smartly decided to add an almond croissant, which was mind alteringly delicious. Stopped by last Thursday to find a chocolate pecan pie and we were not disappointed. I was overwhelmed and overjoyed with the selection. Picked up a chocolate croissant, chocolate pecan pie and a cherry pie. I am in love with the sprinkles on the chocolate croissant. There is an art in the chocolate placement only a chocolate croissant lover can appreciate and they have it down. There is love in their baked goods. They pies were awesome too. It's a true dare to simply get a coffee and walk away! I have never been able to do it. The most tasty pies for the holidays! They got a rhubarb strawberry pie that is not too sweet and it is out of this world. The other deserts are incredible as well. Love the fruit tarts. Just the perfect size for couple of bites. For the last couple years, this was our go-to spot for pastries and challah bread which is delicious, but lately their sales practices have been really off putting. One clerk charged me full price on pies marked half off the day after thanksgiving but I was in a big rush and didn't look at the receipt until I got home. (I had bought the pie with several other items together and was unfortunately not paying attention at checkout because there was a long line in the store.) When I came on a Sunday last month and tried to buy a loaf of challah (marked half off on Sunday) the clerk told me in a curt manner, "not today," with no further explanation. Today, all of the "12 oz" challahs on the rack were so tiny I actually decided to weigh it on my kitchen scale and it's 9.3 oz. I understand there are inflationary pressures at work everywhere, but this skimpflation is too much. My husband went back to ask the Clerk about this and she said "ignore the sign." When I asked if I could have a cinnamon roll in a paper box instead of the plastic clear containers he suggested taking the roll out of the container and putting it into a box. I also bought my own coffee mug but they made the latte in a regular cup and then poured it into my mug. I would remove this move from their highlight reel. Can't speak for their bakery, but we did pick up 2 of their boysenberry pies at Sigona's in the Stanford Shopping Center. Would actually rate them a 4.5 if we could. They were as close to homemade as you can get, which is proven by the ingredients. Same ingredients we use at home. Finally found a pie with excellent crust! We'll be back for more! read more

I was wanting some coffee that was not Starbucks and found this location, read mixed reviews but decided to give them a try as they are also a bakery. I asked for a red velvet cupcake and a latte. The latte was ok, but I was excited for the cupcake. They had a lot of pastries on display which looked really good, and the place had a nice ambiance, but once I stepped outside to take a bite I was extremely disappointed. The cupcake was cold, semi hard and too sweet, it was definitely not fresh, probably sitting there for several days.
