I've been going to this place for a while now and I love that you can go from a super spicy plate to sweeet. The best of both worlds. They also have juices which I've tried, definitely good. Their ice cream, delicious they have soooo many flavors. Service was great, there's no really waiting in line. I had a habit of going to Starbucks, but when I saw this local ice cream shop was serving coffee in the morning, I decided to try it out. It is now my new morning habit. Usually tended in the morning by the eternally sunny Carlos, I have a very delicious soy latte every morning at a good price ("the best coffee!" Carlos always cheerfully declares). When I indulge myself I have one of his decadent nutella crepe, freshly made. Often when I am waiting there, someone from neighborhood pops in just to chat with Carlos. This is what I appreciate most - it's a business, but they are genuinely interested in creating a friendly space for the locals. It's often decorated in fun, seasonal themes - at Christmas time we give people directions referring to the sycamore tree they light up. It's popular for ice cream, but their morning service is just getting established; come and try it out! read more

The service was to be questioned because the website and the prices on the screen were not what they said it was. The owner should be more careful because, technically, someone with nothing to do can sue for false advancement. We got a banana split for 10.99 when on the screen it said 8.99 with ice cream and the mangoneada my husband wanted a large but they said a large would be 14.99 and then he said 15 for a large one we ended up with a small one for 8 dollars. The people kept changing the prices, and the lady kept asking the man what price is what, even though the price on the screen said something else. The ambiance was quite not much people. When we got there there were only 3 people and they were drinking fresh juice. It was probably because that was cheaper, honestly. I'm not sure about the ice cream it looked like it has been there for days and they had banana with chocolate and it was frosting already. If you have a lot of money and can afford 15 dollar mangoneada and 15 dollar waffle with ice cream then this is your place. I on the other hand will be going to safeway and buy my own supplies to make my own funnel cake ,waffle, banana split. Ect for much cheaper and for more quantity. I didn't take a picture because I didn't feel it was worth a picture besides there's plenty of pictures on yelp. read more

I was happy to stop by and finally have a reason to check them out. Today is hot (82 is hot for us), and it was enough of an excuse to grab a paleta. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they served you in a gelato style with scoops rather than ready made popsicles. I am happy that they have water based (vegan) options, and that will also allow for me to bring guests here. The "ice cream" was fresh, cool, TASTY, and calming. I grew up in this neighborhood and the location of this place is prime for customers. After being a police station (with no police) for many years, I am happy to see this place used to help the community in other ways. The lady cashier with the Raiders jersey did not seem to be in the best of moods, and although it wasn't absolutely warranted, we were not greeted by the person who served us. They served us but if their food was not as good as it was, I may have walked out. I am sure that we all have our off day, and our really off days, but a little smile and a greeting can go a long way. I want this place to thrive and I really hope they do. My colleague and I showed up to Cibele's one day and asked for 20 orders of fresas con crema, duros, hot sauce, and more. They were not only the friendliest people, but quick and eager to get my large and unusual order done. I am so appreciative of the love they put into their products and food. Hidden gem and the best ice cream in town! Seriously the guava ice cream is bursting with flavor. Reminds me on walking the streets of Mexico and exploring local ice cream parlors. Hidden little gem! We've been looking for funnel cakes for so long. Who would have thought we just needed to stop in Menlo Park. Plenty of parking in back of the shop. Friendly and attentive staff! Nice variety of sweet and savory treats, juices and smoothies. The fresh fruit on the desserts make a refreshing treat on these hot days. My only suggestion would be to either have a menu board or slow the slideshow down so it is easier to read. We live in Belle Haven and recently walked over here one evening, having seen local kids and families visiting the spot. The person at the counter was super nice and accommodating, providing recommendations on interesting flavors to try and advising us on which flavors would go well together in a banana split.
