This place offers at least one great escape room, and I'm eager to try the others. We booked them…read morefor a grownup birthday party. We provided the party room (the common room in an apartment complex) and they brought the puzzles, the props, the ambiance, and great show-runners. They totally transformed the common room into a magician's lair, with a nice story and a fun setup. The goal of the setup was to unlock six or so locks, which would allow the magician to escape the box of death. In order to unlock the six locks, we had to unravel about 20 puzzles, which I won't describe here because I don't want to spoil them. I appreciated, though, that the puzzles were all different kinds of puzzles, so everyone could find something they could contribute. The magician themed room was medium-hard. I am told they have some rooms that are easier and some rooms that are harder. We are looking forward to doing their more challenging room at some point in the future. I also appreciated that the people working the event stayed in character and provided a lot of good energy. We had about 20 people at the party, so they had to run the escape room two times. It took about 15 minutes between runs to reset the room. They packed up in half an hour and left the room in great shape. We couldn't be happier with this booking, and I am already fantasizing about booking them again for another room.

We were I. Portland for meetings. We came to Escape Games PDX for a team building outing…read more The staff here was nice and explained the games to us before we went in. During the game play we could ask for clues, we needed many, ha, ha. The clues they gave were helpful and helped us push on to eventually solve it with only less than a minute on the clock. We did the Tales from the Attic room. I won't give away any of the room, I will only say it was kind of like a mystery game of hang man to fill in the clues as we found them. It was different than other escape rooms I have done, but it was fun figuring out the clues to fill in the puzzles. I believe they have 4 different escape rooms here and I am sure they are all just as fun. If you are looking for a fun group activity, work outing, birthday party, etc. I would recommend an escape room and if in the Portland area check out Escape Games PDX. If you solve the game, you can pick a little key trinket as well and go up in the leader board if you solve it fast enough. We unfortunately did not make the leader board. Enjoy!

We did the Prison Heist room because a couple of us had never done an Escape Room before and it seemed like a perfect starter room. Loved that the room is non-linear and the clues were all cohesive. You had a choice of dressing the part as they had inmate costumes readily available. The door is never locked so you can get out if needed. Also, for this room, there is no clock. Your gamemaster will let you know once you have 30 and 10 minutes left. Jake gave us fantastic clues and didn't make us feel like idiots for asking. I feel like we asked for only maybe a handful of clues. We escaped with about 11 minutes to spare. Loved that they had merch for each specific room. Makes it easier to grab a souvenir. We also were able to pick out a tiny key as our prize for escaping. Cute touch. Good job, Escape Games PDX!

Absolute Five Stars for Escapology!…read more We tackled the Scooby-Doo escape room, and wow... it was one of the most challenging rooms I've ever done. I've never failed to escape before, but this one got us! We were literally one or two steps away when the clock ran out. It was frustrating, but at the same time, incredibly entertaining. I have to admit, I felt like I let my son down because he was really hoping we'd beat it. When you're paying for an escape room, it definitely stings a little when you don't make it out. But honestly, that's part of what makes it such a great experience it leaves you wanting another shot. Pro tip: Bring four or five people if you can. There are so many clues, puzzles, and different things happening at once that having extra sets of eyes makes a huge difference. It's easy to lose time chasing the wrong clue or overlooking something that's right in front of you. Escapology in Clackamas/Happy Valley is top-notch. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and full of creative, immersive rooms with different themes and adventures. The puzzles are clever, the atmosphere pulls you in, and the whole experience keeps you engaged from start to finish. Yes, it's a little on the pricey side, but you only live once. It's a fantastic activity for families, friends, date nights, birthdays, or team-building. Even if you don't escape, you'll leave talking about the experience and laughing over everything you missed. We'll definitely be back for a rematch. Highly recommended!

All 3 times the kids had a blast and had to work as a team to escape. We love that they have options for kids escape rooms there. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The decor is great and sets a fun vibe. The party room is good sized and has lots of decorations already there which is super helpful. We were able to watch the kids via a screen in the party room which was fun to see them problem-solve. Would recommend checking out the escape rooms at Escapology.
