My mother and I recently started seeing Dr. Bae for our dental needs and we are so glad to have finally found a dentist who enjoys what they do, and someone who is very informative about maintaining our dental/oral health. Compared to other dental offices, Dr. Bae's staff is extremely friendly, professional and helpful. During my first cleaning, it was noted that I have receding gums and it turned out I had been flossing incorrectly all these years. After being taught how to properly floss and returning for my second cleaning, my gums stopped receding. My mother and I both agree he is the best dentist either of us have seen and we plan to see him from now on. I've never recommended a dentist to anyone before in my life because I'd never been to one who was this good! Now, if anyone asks about a good dentist in the area, I tell them to go here. Dr. Bae is really good about educating you about your teeth, which I'd never experienced before at any other dentist's office. He's not one of those callous, strictly business minded types who just want you to get in and out of the chair in under an hour. He's also very honest and doesn't pressure you about getting a procedure you don't need so he can put an extension on his house. Evidently, I've had some bad experiences at dentist offices. One visit to CDC, and I see dentists and oral hygiene in a new light! He and all the hygienists are very thorough and use up to date technology. The whole place is clean and open, and everyone is very personable and genuinely caring. Anyone who's afraid of going to the dentist wouldn't be afraid if they'd been a patient here. I am going to sound like a broken record, but honestly, Dr. Bae is the best dentist that I have ever encountered. His staff is outstanding as well! I went in for a routine teeth cleaning (it had been 1.5+ years since my last one). Dr. Bae said the dental hygienist was off for the day so he would be handling all my work. Wow! He took the time to explain everything and educated me on what was to be done. He never scolded me for not flossing or made me feel like I was doing a horrible job with my teeth (even though it had been a while since I've seen a dentist). He made it a point to ask about my day and find out a little information about me before we started. We talked about plans for my teeth in the future, and he answered any questions that I had. He never caused me any pain or made me feel uncomfortable. He spent a lot of time with me, and was very professional and courteous. In addition to the digital x-rays, he also took digital photos for insurance purposes (as well as for my chart). Amazing what a little extra time with a patient can do. I needed to have some fillings replaced so I went back three weeks later. Again, Dr. Bae (and staff) greeted me with the same smile. I felt very comfortable and relaxed considering the work I needed to be done. It was quick and painless, and again, Dr. Bae explained everything to me so I understood what was being done. Another fantastic experience. **I should also mention that there was no long wait in the waiting room. I showed up for my 10am appointment at 9:50am, and was sitting in the dental chair by 9:52am. I went for a cleaning and I loved my hygienist and she didn't hurt me like my old one. The only reason I gave a 4 star was because the receptionist told me that if I didn't come early enough to fill out paper work it would cut into my appointment time. What? OK. Also, one of the tools they used to clean my teeth sprayed water in my face while she used it. And lastly the office wasn't as clean as other dentist offices I've been to. It was not messy or anything, except the floors looked liked they hadn't been mopped in ages. If they neglect the floors, what else do they neglect? read more

I have to preface my review by saying that I'm very particular about my teeth, and as I have been to a number of dentists, my criteria for evaluating and choosing a dentist is very high. We found Cornerstone close by in Brea and i went there today for the first time as a fee paying patient to get my teeth cleaned. The offices were nice and the staff was very friendly and started my service right on time. The technician was very good and did a terrific job getting my teeth all cleaned up and polished in about an hour. Being new to the Orange County area, I turned to Yelp for a recommendation in my area. Cornerstone Dental and Dr. Bae stood out and I decided to give them a try. After my appointment today, I can tell you with complete sincerity that it was the single best dental experience of my life. From start to finish, each staff member from friendly, helpful and explained everything in easy-to-understand detail. Since this was my initial visit, I fully expected the usual questions about past dental issues and any current concerns mixed in with some general health items. While Dr. Bae did eventually cover those topics, he took the time to get to know me and the things that were important to me. The conversation was genuine and sincere. By the time Dr. Bae finished his examine, I knew the purpose and understood the result of every test or evaluation that he completed. There was no pressure, no guilt, and zero discomfort. My hygienist, Angelica, was also extremely pleasant, professional and let me with no soreness or discomfort. At the end of my visit, the staff was respectful of my time and offered to email my dental plan to me. Dr. Bae even gave me a referral to a pediatric dentist for my special needs son. On two separate occasions, Dr. Bae made the time to see me on very short notice. The first was when I suddenly had extreme dry mouth. I called his office and received a call back from him the same day. He consulted with me over the phone and allowed me to come in for an exam the following day 15 minutes before opening. I've had the same great dentist and hygienist for 15 years, but since I moved to OC, I had to find a new practice. I was very very nervous as the few times I had to see a different hygienist, I was in pain after a rough cleaning. Being 5 months pregnant, my teeth were very sensitive where my roots were exposed and the gumline was receding. I was never so nervous about getting a cleaning before, especially from a new practice. I swore that if this wasn't a good experience, I was never trusting Yelp again. Fortunately, I picked the right place, and Yelp came through. I saw Dr. Rachel Paik for my exam, and she was very thorough in the way she explained the changes in my teeth due to pregnancy, as well as explaining everything she was doing before she did it. She explained things to me as if I had never seen a dentist before, but this was very helpful as I stressed how concerned and nervous I was. She made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Bae even stopped by to introduce himself and to welcome me. Angelica was my hygienist, and despite my teeth having never been so sensitive before, I received the most gentle cleaning...no numbing gel needed. I couldn't be happier. The receptionists were also very helpful from the start. They are quick to respond to emails and answer questions. I had to reschedule a couple of times because I was still suffering bad pregnancy nausea the first times I made the appointment, and they were very understanding. I can't yet comment on the insurance side of things since it hasn't been billed yet, but so far so good. Great experience! read more

I had an x-ray and cleaning appointment today as I was a new patient. My experience was wonderful from the moment I walked in to when I stepped out. I informed Dr. Paik and the hygienist about my general anxiety and how I was worried I would need a lot of dental work done since I hadn't been to the dentist in 3-4 years (cavities, root canals).
