I actually look forward to our 6-month inspections because any minor issues that need PCF's attention are promptly addressed and resolved. Earlier this week, we had 2 appliances break. The first one was replaced within 48 hours and the second one is currently in the process of being replaced. I filed more than 30 maintenance requests with STAR over the two years I lived in their building. More than two issues every month. I had constant issues with black mold and water damage, rats, and worst of all, a piece of my ceiling caved in during a rainstorm -- a massive 30-pound chunk of plaster that would have killed me or caused severe brain damage if I'd been standing underneath it -- due to the building's disrepair. STAR openly admitted that they were just going to replace the ceiling tile to cover the hole and wouldn't do any repairs. This will threaten another tenant's life and safety.
