    Fish Taco($20)
    Chloe O.

Our server Oliver was fantastic and made whole dining experience very pleasant. Their patio overlooking St.Lawrence river was very pretty. We went their for Sunday dinner in June, it was not too crowed with tourists. Fish taco($20) was enough to fill me up for dinner and liked lightly dressed pico de gallo on top. Each taco was served with the wedge of lemon. We also ordered wings, chicken souvlaki, burger, beef dip. Big portion size & everyone loved their meal. Sticky toffee pudding was a must to finish the meal!

    Fish Tacos after one bite!

Great food. 6 of of sat down for a late lunch in a steamy summer day. And the beers and drinks arrived swiftly ( by island standards). The views of the river are great. Really though the food was delicious. I had the fish tacos and they were superb!

Stonewater Pub - Half-rack ribs with poutine

The food is great -- fresh, flavourful, and clearly made with care. It's the kind of place you want to like. That said, for the price, the portions feel underwhelming. The smashburger, while tasty, is about the size of a standard McDonald's cheeseburger, and a handful of fries just doesn't cut it at this price point. A bit more generosity on the plate would go a long way in matching the quality of the experience with the value. Still worth a visit -- just don't come too hungry.

I only recall trying poutine when I was younger so I figured I'd give it another try. They have Poutine as a whole order, but I was glad to see that they have it as a side option. The food entries comes with a side of your choice (fries, house salad, sweet potato fries (+$2.99) , caesar salad (+$3.50), or poutine (+$3.50)). The portions of the food were huge, so you definitely get your bang for your buck here. Each dish was neatly placed and was so good! The bread from the club was crunchy yet soft and the chicken was moist. The ingredient felt very fresh! The poutine was a tad salty, but I think that is how poutine is? Since it's gravy and cheese (two salty ingredients). It was just the perfect amount to share with the family since we all just wanted a little bit to refresh our taste buds. My family also ordered the Chipotle Chicken Caesar Wrap with the house salad ($19.99); Fish and Chips ($19.99), and Grilled Chicken Club with the house salad ($19.99). The chipotle chicken caesar wrap was HUGE. My mom said it was very good and that it wasn't too overpowered with all the flavors and sauces. I was able to try a bite of her house salad and was also impressed by the fresh ingredients of the salad. You can tell it is a good salad when the salt actually crunches and does not just wilt there. The Fish and Chips were pretty good according to my brother in law. Crispy, not totally too greasy and a large piece on top. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal here in this small town. It had a cosy interior with very nice staff. FYI, the menu is located solely online! Reception could be a little spotty, so they have wifi for you in case you need it! The place has an indoor dining room, bar area and outside patio seating overlooking the river.  I stopped by for a late lunch recently on a sunny day. I headed to the patio where I decided to take in the riverfront views. I was given the light fare food menu which offers traditional Canadian pub fare including appetizers, wings, soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, fish & chips, and pizzas. I got an ice water and decided on the Maritime Lobster Wrap ($19.95) served with fries and cole slaw, which was served to my table in under 10 minutes. The lobster wrap (cut in halves) was a good size with lettuce, shredded cheese, carrots, and a dense mix of shredded lobster meat in a mayo dressing. The fresh cut fries were firm and hot. The cole slaw (shredded cabbage, carrot, red cabbage) were crisp and creamy. After I was done, I was promptly given the check which came out to $22.54 CAD before tip or $17.11 USD before tip. Overall, a good choice for lunch on a very nice day. I watched several boats pass by as I ate my lunch.

The restaurant was not surprisingly empty as it was shoulder season and it was at 11am. I had a cup of seafood chowder, since I didn't want to just order a coke. The chowder was decent. The ingredients were good, but the soup itself was a bit bland. I didn't expect much from a seaside pub in rural Ontario to be honest though. Service was great, no complaints at all. I imagine their entrees are better looking at the few reviews.

We asked, and they've only been open two weeks! It's a lovely English style pub with tin-looking walls and dark furniture - everything is new and tidy. There are booths to sit at, a long bar, and high tables near the window, so there are some nice seating options. We tried the cream of carrot and ginger (soup of the day) and it was outstanding. I tried the sandwich of the day, a roast chicken with caramelized onions on 'mediterranean' bread, which was a simple white bread with some bits of kalamata olives in it, I think. I had an option of fries, salad, or potato salad, and went for the salad, which was a pile of lovely fresh greens with a creamy balsamic on top. Another of us had the chicken leek casserole which was huge and tasty. With some tricky to find imports on tap like Newcastle brown and Old Speckled Hen, we really felt like we'd stumbled into a nice example of a UK pub in Brockville. They have a bunch of premium and imported options for beer on tap plus a reasonable wine list. Worth a stop!

I believe they also serve lunch and dinner. This is in the middle of Downtown Alexandria Bay and right on the water. If you need the GF bread make sure to call and confirm they have it in stock before you come. I did make the call before coming and was glad I did. I ordered French toast and it came out on what looked like burger buns. It was still very good and tasty. I appreciated their ability to adapt but found it interesting they didn't mention this. My uncle sat at another table, at the same time, and asked for GF toast and was told there was no GF bread left. Just mentioning this because you might want to question all of this on the phone before you come if this would bother you. I had the GF French toast with Nutella drizzle and a side of bacon. It was tasty and a healthy portion. The Nutella was a nice touch. The bacon was a little thin for my liking, could have been a little crispier but there was a good amount for a side. My significant other agrees with my comment about the bacon. But he said the toast was very good and the deep fried home fries were pretty good. Overall a standard breakfasts Prices were reasonable and service was great. A good option for a quick breakfast if you are in the area. And many seats offer great views of the water.
