George came out to the house diagnosed the issue that my mother in laws fridge was having and why it wasn't distributing water. He showed me what was wrong then asked if I wanted to order the parts. I paid him for parts and labor incase I wasn't going to be there later on so he could just return and do the job without me present . After having some issue getting hold of George he called me back and let me know he had been gone a couple days but that he could come on New Year's Day and finish the repair . He kept his word and showed up New Year's Day near the evening and had everything working on her fridge within an hour or less. 08/22/2017, my wife contacted EP Appliance Repair and requested their services in the repair of a broken dishwasher. A gentleman showed up at my home and looked at the dishwasher and informed me that a "Mola Assembly" is what was needed to make the repair. I was charged $163.00 and was told the part needed to be ordered, and he would return to my home once the part had arrived. Roughly a week later, the gentleman returned to my home and went to work on the dishwasher, I was then informed that the part that was ordered, was not the correct part and I was going to need to order another part. At this point I suggested that the monies spent on the part that was originally ordered to be transferred toward the new part that he asked me to order. He told me that he would work with me and not charge me for the labor, and he would have to find out if he could transfer the monies toward the second part that needed to be ordered. The part was ordered and he told me that he would contact me when the new part came in. Two weeks passed and we heard nothing from the technician, so we decided to call, my wife's phone calls went unanswered. At this point I called from my phone and the call was answered. I was now talking to George, I explained the situation and was told that the part would be in later in the week and he would call when it arrived and we could set up an appointment to repair the dishwasher. A few weeks passed and I did not hear from George. I begin to call and my phone calls were not answered. I sent a text to George and informed him that if I was not refunded in 48hrs I would seek legal representation. George called my wife the following day, and informed her that the technician was no longer working for him, and the fact that I was calling 2-3 times a day was not helping things to move any faster. My wife requested a refund and was told to send a copy of the invoice to him via text and he would send a full refund in the form of a check. 32 days have passed with no contact from George whatsoever....whenever I call or my wife calls, the calls go unanswered....but when I call from different phones, or from my work phone, the calls are answered every-time. This leads me to believe the this gentleman is screening our calls and choosing not to answer us. This whole situation started in August, and now being November the dishwasher is still broken, and I have not received any contact or compensation from from El Paso Appliance Repair. read more

I first used this company for the repair of one of my appliances a few years ago - George was the technician and he was professional, reliable and affordable. FAST FORWARD to this past year...I called this company for the repair of my refrigerator. This time the technician was not George, it was someone else. The technician told me there was ice build-up that was preventing the door from closing properly and therefore preventing it from cooling properly and that I needed to defrost it - I was charged $45 for this and I thought it was fair and was relieved it wasn't something worse. The fridge worked fine for a few weeks and then it went out again. Instead of calling again, I defrosted it again and again it worked for a little while and then it went out again...I did this several times when the fridge would stop working. In the meantime, our mini beverage fridge went out too so I called to have it looked at. The same technician that had looked at our refrigerator came out and said it was the motherboard and would order it for us - I was charged $45 for this, and again I thought it was fair since it was going to go toward labor. I waited weeks without a call back so I called and the technician said he couldn't find the motherboard so he couldn't fix the fridge and I was better off replacing it...I took his word and spent about $650 on a new mini fridge. Someone later suggested i could purchase parts online, so out of curiosity I did a little bit of research and found the motherboard for the mini fridge!!!! Around this time I was getting frustrated with having to defrost my refrigerator and was not happy about the motherboard situation so I called and the same technician showed up and met with my husband. I happen to walked in on him telling my husband he needed to defrost the refrigerator and that once it was completely emptied out and defrosted, he'd come back and look at it and order whatever parts were needed and wanted to charge us $45 again. I told him it was obviously not a defrosting problem anymore and was not going to pay him another service fee and asked him to leave my home. I don't know what happened to George, the first technician that helped us, but this other guy that we've dealt with 3-4 times SUCKS and because of this I would NEVER use this company again and would NEVER recommend them to anyone. As a matter of fact, my friends, family and neighbors have asked me if I know anyone that does repairs and the first thing I always tell them is "I'll send you a few names of people I've used, but stay away from EP Appliance Repair. read more

They did a great job repairing our dryer. It had begun to make a squeaking sound. I gave them a call based on yelp reviews. They called me back with in the hour they were able to schedule me with in 3 days. The day of the guy assigned called in sick but it didn't stop them from re assigning the job and getting here at a decent time. I went with this company based on reviews I had an appointment the following day and then was called after the appointment time window that his wife had been in an accident and he had to be with her. That is understandable I rescheduled for the following day and his co worker showed up attempting to fix my water heater. He says it needed to be drained and he did and it was supposed to have been fine. That did not happen the mild temp warm water then turned cold and when I called again they sent the same person out to my home and still couldn't fix the problem. They decided that it needed some new pump and even after waiting a week for that order it still didn't work. Later it was mentioned to just replace the water heater all together it took them weeks to call the manufacturer to get it under warranty then turns out that they were not going to honor the warranty. This is a month of no hot water and taking cold showers in the winter! As I had no other choice I had to replace the water heater and get a new one once that was installed there was a leak that was detected on a pipe at the bottom of my home. Now I'm having to pay $2,600 to fix a leak and get new pipes to reroute the like I'm order to not have to dig a hole and find out where this leak is. That gets fixed and now there's no water pressure going through the showers as good and the washer machine can't be on while someone is showering, which makes no sense cause my water pressure was fine way before all this was happening. So now I have to wait for another thing to be installed to help with the water pressure again another couple weeks for that to happen. In total I spent $3571 with this company they worked with me on the pricing I give them that but the work was not done right. I have another leak from this new system he had created and now that I contacted an experienced plumber he tells me all this work was not done right and there could have been an easier solution if they found the leak before hand instead of just replacing the water heater and finding it after. It turns out there was nothing wrong with my water heater it was the leak that was not letting the hot water out! Therefore all this could have been avoided and probably not have spent that much money and if I had to spend close to it at least I would have had the job done right. Just so you know this is a small company only two workers the boss himself and one other worker. It is why they take a long time to get back to you or yet alone get parts in a timely manner. read more

Joke of a appliance repair company. Their technician, Saul Ruiz, realized he ordered the wrong part for the washing machine when he came back on 12/04/19 to fix the machine. He then slammed the machine back against the wall 3 times trying to figure out what else was wrong with the machine until he broke a water hose. Water fiasco ensued in the house while Saul cried out "why does this always happen to me!" Technician then says for another $350 plus he can order the right part and fix the machine right. Tech was told to stop as he caused enough damage already. Placed a call to main office and spoke with Gabby. I asked her for the refund of $100 paid upfront to tech who ended up ordering the wrong part. Per Gabby, she'd have the owner George call me. To this date still no call from owner and no refund. Should've asked the tech to leave when he first stepped into the house and said the washing machine was old and couldn't be fixed. Machine is only 5 yrs old. read more

Decided to call them up after reading many good reviews, let me tell you that it didn't disappoint. Called them up on Monday after noticing my refrigerator had stopped cooling during the weekend. It all started out pretty professionally but our experience turned into one of the worst appliance repair nightmares we could have imagined. We called El Paso Appliance Repair and requested a technician to come and check out our dishwasher in November 2021 because it stopped working. It was determined the machine needed a new motherboard. We prepaid $158 for the new part to be ordered. Two weeks later, the technician came to "try" to install the new motherboard. In the almost three hours he was at our house, he broke the top panel clasps, scratched our stainless steel door up (he removed the door and took it outside and placed it on the pavement - my husband took pictures) and left without the dishwasher being repaired. His boss, George, the owner of the company, came by a couple of days later to try to make the repairs. We told him about the scratches and showed him our pictures and he said that he would pay for the replacement of the door - $100. After George left, we were hopeful that the dishwasher was now functioning. NO it was not!!! It leaked and the top panel fell to the kitchen floor every time we opened the dishwasher door. We placed towels on the floor to absorb the water leaking from dishwasher for a few days until the dishwasher stopped working again. Not trusting the integrity of the "repaired" dishwasher or that our dishwasher would "ever be the same", my husband and I decided to buy a new dishwasher. We spoke with George who agreed to now refund $258 to us (representing the upfront cost of the new motherboard of $158 and $100 for the scratched door). He also volunteered to pick up and install the new dishwasher and haul off the old one. The day before he was to do the scheduled install, we found out George hurt his back. We felt bad and conveyed our well wishes. It is now January and we really wanted our new dishwasher installed and arranged install with another contractor. Of course that install added another almost $200 to our cash output. Since the install, we have left numerous messages with George and his company to arrange for the $258 refund that we were promised and our calls and requests have all been ignored. Our simple repair ended up costing us over $1,000 because we chose El Paso Appliance Repair. DO NOT USE THEM. read more

When it rains it pours ,....we all have heard that one. I called out the top notch guys here in El Paso, Texas. Each one was by appointment only. And 2 of El Pasos' big guns. Most of them good reviews.... I was disappointed when they showed up in wife beaters or one smelled like alcohol and the ones that by appointment only never showed up. I got money. Big time money. Just fix the darn thing or get me a new one. But do it in a timely manner. So I was at Peter Piper pizza when I ran into Mr. S. He was dressed in his uniform . Was eating lunch and I told him what all I had going on. So he said let me finish the project I got going on and I'll go take a look. If it's ok, it will be after hours. I said yes. Late that evening he showed up with his employee and went to town on my A/C.....while his partner was on my refrigerator . He said he couldn't do more till he ordered parts that he needed . That was so incredible . He kept me informed as to when parts would be in. Needless to say, he got my A/C going and told me it was time to replace it. But it would work for several more months. I paid the man gave him a big time tip AND told him to get me what I needed . No rush. He said it be 3 weeks till I got my new unit. I'm so grateful to have meet him. His prices were competitive to the others guys that were saying what they would charge me and respectful kind honest and hard working. Can't wait till he shows up with my new unit. Oooooo and my refrigerator , it was a loose wire . $4800.00 4 days old and it was bad right off the bat. You would be mad too, had no time go talk to the sales people. They just there to sell. I first attempted to use the online repair request form on the company's website. It didn't work. That should have been my first clue that El Paso Appliance Repair doesn't have its act together. So I telephoned them and set up a service call for the next day between 12 and 2 pm. I waited and waited and waited some more for the repair technician to show up. I paid George Smith over $800 to have him fix our commercial refrigerator and looks like we just lost our money. It still works exactly the same as before he took our money (or rather does not work), and now he does not answer our calls, nor return our messages or text messages. My wife even called using a different telephone number and he did return that call, but as soon as he heard her voice, he hung up and now won't answer calls from that number either. I am taken aback with George's dishonesty! Sadly, he states on his website being military Veteran. So, when I called and told him the problem I was having with my refrigerator he was able to tell me right away what was wrong with it and how much it would cost, where as everyone else I called said they would have to come out and see what was wrong to give me a quote. Also his price was very reasonable compared to others that were outrageous just to diagnose the problem. He was very professional and the guy I talked with on the phone was the same person that came to do the repair. He came in the time frame he gave me and was very nice. He even walked me through the problem and let me bother him with questions if it happened again. Not once but twice, I've called these guys late in the evening with oven repair issues - one of them about a potential gas leak. Both times, Reuben answered the phone and spent several minutes talking me through the problem. He was generous with his time and very knowledgable.
