He came out, stayed for less than a minute and told me I needed a new control board and heating element. He would order those and it would take a week. After a week, (December 11) I called for am update on the status. They told me the part should come in on either Thursday or Friday (December 18 or 19) and they would call to set up an appointment. On December 23, I called and no one answered the phone. Today, December 29, I called, no one answered the phone. I then called Lowes to ask for another repair company and i was told Ameri-Tech closed the case on December 8- before the part they ordered was originally supposed to arrive! The closure report said NOTHING about what was wrong with the dryer and I then had to file another claim with Lowes to get the same problem fixed. I am now stuck with a dryer that has been broken for over a month with no scheduled date for fix or even a range for when anything will be done with it- and I have a warranty! it would have been cheaper and less of a headache to skip the warranty and just pay for the repair myself.
