I've come to corporate museum and frame twice now. Both times to frame multiple pieces. In both instances the date that was communicated as when it would be due by occurred well before the pieces were actually ready. This would have been fine had there been any communication whatsoever regarding the delay. Rather I've wasted my time trying to track them down for an update by calling and stopping by the store. Most recently, when I was able to pick up the final piece (three weeks after the promised date) the piece was twice as large as the frame that we agreed upon. We spent over an hour with Joseph selecting a frame and outlining the exact size and style that we preferred. The work was just taped in the middle of an oversized frame without any matting. While they do nice work typically and have a variety of styles the exorbitant cost, lack of communication and poor follow through on well discussed plans are not worth the hassle. Update: They replaced the product and did so in a timely manner after this review was made. They apologized and were contrite and cordial in subsequent communications. It is upsetting that it took making mistakes to be given the care that was promised at the start. But overall, taking accountability helps re-earn my trust and respect. read more

I don't know what the other person is talking about. I have had only fantastic experiences with Corporate & Museum Frame. They are not only friendly, helpful, and nice, but totally affordable. Framing can sometimes be a daunting experience but they are always willing to help me out. I am a young artist and framing my photos is always a heavy duty expense but they've been so helpful and accommodating! read more

Joseph Johnson is extremely knowledgeable about the history of framing and even consults collectors and other framers about using the right kind of frame for the right piece. He is an encyclopedia of framing. Just the other day, an old friend told me that after the first visit, he never had to look over his shoulder again and had every piece of art in his collection framed by Corporate & Museum Frame. Fantastic place!!! Joseph Johnson is a super super nice guy! i am a VCU art student and today I just came there to try to find a frame on sale for my drawing.. He just helped me to select the perfect frame with the perfect style for my piece and it was only 20 dollars in total with new glass(5 dollars). Even though this frame was only worth for 15 dollars, but he almost recreate the frame for me due to the inappropriate size. He just cut it down in perfect size based on my piece and reconstructed it, repainted the frame, cut the new glass for me, put my drawing into the frame and screwed the hooks into the back of the frame to make it be ready to hang on the wall. He covered every details when he was doing his work, he even cleaned the glass and the frame for me to make it like a brand-new frame! And he also cut out a plastic clear bag in perfect size for me to cover my piece(maybe it was because it was raining outside ). He smiled all the time and he would like to tell you what he does and why he does that when he creates the frame for you. I feel like I just had a fantastic lecture about how to make a perfect frame today!:) and OMG what he did was just for my only $20 dollars business! I really hope I could give him some tips because I really appreciated his work.. but he just refused it very friendly (i did know if i do it wrong or not..i hope i didn't!! i am an international student here so i don't totally understand the "tips" culture here:/) Anyway,He just made my day!! This place got some expensive frames, but the frames on sale start at very low price in the basement(it's a heaven!!) And it's cash only for the frames on sale:) I had a such awesome experience there and I really can't believe what happened on the first reviewer.. but i feel sorry for that anyway read more

I have had many professional frameworks by this establishment, all of them near perfection. Their work is meticulous. I do not understand the negative review. - I wonder how much (of "a large sum") this person paid and what quality frame he/she chose. You get what you pay for in terms of material, but their craftsmanship is top notch. Apparently, this customer is too emotional and does not appreciate high quality work. I cannot fathom that this place would give her a cracked and damaged frame. He/she must have banged it up herself. read more

Working with Corporate & Museum Frame is the worst business experience I have ever had. I don't like to spread negativity, but I think it is really important for people to know what they are getting into when working with a business - especially someone who doesn't know what to expect and can get taken advantage of. I went to get a piece framed by Corporate & Museum Frame, and when I picked it up the frame was cracked at the seams and was very noticeable. I paid quite a large sum for this frame, and didn't want a broken frame for what I paid for. They were extremely unprofessional when handling an issue like this. I took the piece back to them, and pointed out the problems with the frame and they said that was the best they could do for the material I chose (the frame was opened at it seam). I contested, because I knew they were trying to take advantage of me. When I stood up for myself, and said I would like this to be fixed in the easiest way possible, the woman who works there screamed at me - told me they didn't need my miniscule business, reminded me I was not an important client, and actually accused me of being unprofessional while she was about 6 inches from my face. I requested to take my piece elsewhere, and they refused. They would not give me my piece, even though I just wanted to leave and get it fixed elsewhere. I left shaken and very upset. They shamed me via email, calling me names and laughing at me when I came to pick up the piece, and told me I needed a lesson in carrying my art. They refused to apologize for their employees behavior, and proceeded to blame me for the events. Before going to this shop, I urge you to go to Fan Frame or Rick's Framing before ever considering doing business here. It was such a negative experience, for something that should have been simply and a happy transaction. They were unprofessional, rude, and did not treat me like a customer. I received a very inappropriate email from the owner that was condescending and harassing. If there is ever a problem with the work they give you, this is how they will act. Customer service is such a defining factor for a business. I doubt they will be able to continue on treating customers in this manner. I hope my experience can help your decision. read more
