The service I received from Dr. Luckhardt and Dr. Maze over the years has been excellent. In more recent years I've seen only Dr. Maze and have been very impressed by his knowledge, care, patience with questions, and ability to explain what is going on with my changing eyes. I highly recommend this practice. They have handled my routine eye exams very well and have handled my contact and glasses needs as well. When I've had emergencies, they responded quickly and with care and knowledge. Some of the people working in the office are a little bit quirky, but it usually added to my appreciation of my practice and enjoyment of my visits as I got to observe the dynamics. They also do vision therapy which I think is very interesting. Overall, I think this is a great place to go for your vision needs!

The decision to make was do I want my 3 children at 2 different Drs.? I switched them all and it was BEST DECISION I made!!! My oldest was was diagnosed with convergence insufficiency which also included divergence, tracking and scatagorical issues. This was not a vision acuity issue it was a ocular motor disfunction. She was in second grade and we had seen some deficiencies in her comprehension and test taking, thankfully now we knew why. She went in for comprehensive vision therapy and even spoke to her teachers!!! Dr. Maze and his staff helped my daughter overcome and strengthen her eyes. Thankfully after such a good experience I was able to see early signs in the other 2 children as well, and we were able to do some early intervention with Dr. Maze. He is professional, approachable and compassionate. My oldest is now 12 and he has been a very important and supportive role in my children's lives for the last 5 years. I will never switch eye drs. and I refer him often!

As a new patient it took about a month to get an appointment and most unfortunately, the next step requires a separate appointment which is 5 weeks out. That puts the necessary surgery another 4 to 6 weeks out. That's a long time to fix an issue. However, the Dr. made me feel comfortable and was amicable with solutions to my issues and concerns.

One year I was stuck with my son, husband and myself all needing new glasses at the same time and we worked out an arrangement that didn't kill us. The usual deal is that you pick out your frames, place half down and the rest at delivery of the glasses which is usually about a week. This is a small business, not like Pearl Vision or For eyes--which means that the same people that waited on you last year will be there next year. The prices are a bit more because of this, but so is the quality of customer service.
