I have been very fortunate to have Dr Lingk both in Chicago and now in Downers Grove. She is smart, very thorough in her exams and explanations yet very efficient and extraordinarily pleasant. Over the years the staff has changed- I've been a customer many years -overall the customer service has been excellent. The current team who helped me -Kate Subjja, Sherri, Ivy Vega, Sylvia Kaweiki, Sarah Roedger, Yesenia Oritz,Diana Lukasik, Lisa Deutscher have all been outstanding. They truly work as a team from the front desk, to the managers, to the opticians to the trainees. They pitch in and all appear to be enjoying their work. Although I did not interact with her this visit I want to send a shout out to Daniela Krasteva , optician and frame stylist extraordinaire. She had helped me numerous times to explore new looks and colors in framed (magenta, blue) which have gotten rave WOW reviews. Kate one night I showed up with s broken frame and she was able to quickly identify the one and only frame the lenses would fit in- black with some bling on the temple- an uncharacteristic choice for me but still got wow reviews. The doctors are great and my surgery went well, but the billing department is awful. I had to…read moreprepay for my procedure including the deductible. The first procedure was not submitted to the insurance until a month after the procedure was completed and after the second prodedure had been submitted. In fact , the submission was not sent until after I called and notified the billing department of this omission. Because of this, the deductible was charged to the surgery center instead of Rosen and I needed to pay an additional amount to the surgery center. That meant that I had over paid Rosen Eye Care. I have been calling for over 2 months to be reimbursed for my over payment. When contacted after call number 5, I was assured that I would be getting a check in the mail for my over payment. Instead, I just received 3 more bills! These bills were paid before I had any work done. Thank goodness I have records to verify my payment. I'm very frustrated by this lack of professionalism. I would not have gone to this eye care center to have work done if I had known how incompetent their business staff was. I'm still waiting on my reimbursement.

One year I was stuck with my son, husband and myself all needing new glasses at the same time and we worked out an arrangement that didn't kill us. The usual deal is that you pick out your frames, place half down and the rest at delivery of the glasses which is usually about a week. This is a small business, not like Pearl Vision or For eyes--which means that the same people that waited on you last year will be there next year. The prices are a bit more because of this, but so is the quality of customer service.

As a new patient it took about a month to get an appointment and most unfortunately, the next step requires a separate appointment which is 5 weeks out. That puts the necessary surgery another 4 to 6 weeks out. That's a long time to fix an issue. However, the Dr. made me feel comfortable and was amicable with solutions to my issues and concerns.

Very disappointing. I happened to be in the area and arrived right after they opened one morning, not one customer in Optical or in the waiting area. Asked for a 2-3 minute adjustment to my frames that had been purchased there. Overheard front desk asking Lisa in Optical and she said no, I'm busy, she needs to make an appointment. She didn't walk 15 feet to come over to see what I needed or speak to me herself. I had even said I had no problem waiting if she was busy. They just told me to make an appointment and come back another day. No thanks. I'm not going to take time out of my workday and drive 20 minutes each way to come back for something that should take 2 to 3 minutes. This massive lack of customer service is not on brand for the treatment that we receive from Dr. Robert or Bauer and was highly disappointing. Midwest Eye Optical will not be seeing another dime of my hard-earned money. If we didn't love the eye doctors so much I'd be finding a new one for all 4 of my family members.
