The frame selection here is very limited, but not cheap. They do have some cheap frames, but no teenager I know would want them. The lady who helped us was very nice and could totally relate to what was going on as she had a teenage boy as well. She gave us several options and was the voice of reason. The prescription was low enough that they had materials there and they set us up while we waited. All in all a good experience with this place, not with son #1. Of course a trip to Tony Steamer's down the mall, put him in a better mood. Raising teenage boys is not for the faint hearted.

Hannah was an absolute delight: knowledgeable, efficient, and genuinely personable. I was also really impressed with the technology Dr. Sayed uses. They take detailed images of your eyeball so you can actually see what's going on, which was incredibly reassuring for me after having an eye issue a few years ago. Being able to visually confirm that everything looks good gave me real peace of mind. Dr. Sayed herself was funny, knowledgeable, and made me feel good about being there and taking care of myself. Odd since the only info you need for an appointment is the patient's name and birth date. The remaining "personal" information would be the policy holder of the insurance which would be me. Pretty sure my 21 YO doesn't know who the insurer is, my birth date or the last four of my SSN which is what they need to submit the insurance claim. Not sure that the less than user friendly staff understands the concept of HIPAA in this context. I am the person providing all the of the "personal" information. Never been told I couldn't make an appointment for someone in my family because of HIPAA. Happy to take my business elsewhere.

After a bad situation at the Lenscrafters in Fox Valley Mall, I returned here to see what they…read morecould do, since Wheaton is my normal store. My eye frame arm had snapped in half during an adjustment by their store personnel, and the mgr at Fox Valley said I had to buy a new pair of glasses, but needed my eye exam done again, since it had been 2 years. She did not offer to replace the frame and all they did was place a plastic piece over the 2 piece arm, which wobbled on my head, and really made it difficult to wear the glasses. I had one backup pair but it was a previous prescription that is a little strong. I took some packing tape and wrapped the arm to make it stronger, but still difficult to wear. We were going out of the country in a week, so I was panicked. No need to worry! Wheaton got me in the next day for an exam with Dr. Losurdo (who is amazing), helped me choose new eyeglasses, and gave me a great discount, free warranty, plus filled my complicated progressive prescription within 4 days (had it rush filled by mgr). The store mgr at Wheaton said that they should have replaced the frame at Fox Valley, since they broke it, without any disclaimer that it was my problem, but whatever. I will never go back to Fox Valley. The vibe is totally different at the Wheaton location where they actually want to help you. I love the Wheaton location.
