It's definitely not cheap, even when you save by signing up for the membership.They still lose your socks, and aren't transparent about cost. I wanted to re-route items for wash/fold to hand wash; they helped re-route the items but didn't tell me how much it would cost me until they accepted them and washed them, so I paid over $100 (in addition to what I was paying for the wash/fold items, also over $100) for 25 times to me washed and hung to dry. Not worth it. I scheduled a pick-up, completely unaware that my subscription was still paused, so I was charged full price as if I didn't have a subscription. It was PAUSED, not cancelled. So why no pop-up message on the app asking if I want to un-pause? Why doesn't the membership automatically un-pause when someone with a paused membership schedules a pick-up? Why is there no confirmation page before the pick-up is scheduled to confirm with customers what their estimated cost would be for what they're about to schedule? These all seem like common sense solutions to this issue, none are in use. For someone who just has a slumlord property manager and laundry machines that are constantly going out of service, it's incredibly frustrating to have to pay this much - $100s of dollars and my sanity - to do laundry. I cancelled my membership and will give Rinse some time to see if they catch up with reality and the state of the economy - because if I'm paying over $100 a month for laundry service, I'd think I'd at least get all my socks back! read more

UI of the website was good on inception. Keep in mind the price per pound per subscription is slightly different than not having a monthly subscription so make sure you skim through the website thoroughly. The customer service was excellent from beginning to delivery of the wash Clothing they're on Text and they are helpful and you can also call them. The pickup valet was pretty good, pretty cool, very friendly and a hard worker whereas the drop off valet that left the clothes off, wasn't so friendly or helpful at all, but that was the only pitfall that we had and customer service was on top of it. I really liked the service I believe it is a premium service. I don't think it's it for it's everyone, but for premium clients is a good thing for example clients like me we live busy lifestyles or we have circumstances that require us to wash our Clothing using a premium Service as such. So it was kind of pricey but at the same time what do you expect for a premium service and it is a service of washing clothes that very few people offer so logistically I give them credit for pulling this through and I think it's a great service that they're offering and I think it's a great idea and I will continue to use our system. Who was delivered clean folded nicely and the sacks that they carry and they smell great so far so good. Quick backstory. Once upon a time, during the height of Covid, I was in a pretty bad space mentally. So bad, that it was extremely difficult to complete basic chores, including laundry. A friend told me about an incredible laundry service, Life without Laundry (check them out if you're in the LA area!) and they took a huge burden off me. Top service across the board! So anywho, I've just relocated the bay from out of state, started a new, demanding job, and I've been depleted. But, I need to do laundry! I decided that utilizing the services of a professional laundry service, at least to get me on track would be a nice gift to myself. I did some research and I saw that Rinse was mentioned a few times. Okay, so first the pros: 1) making an appointment was very easy, as well as receiving my laundry back the next day. 2) customer service is great! Reps reached out to me on a regular basis to inform me of the process and each time I reached out (via text), they were responsive and helpful. 3) laundry options galore. I was able to chose if I wanted scented detergent or fabric softener, for example. Okay, now the cons: 1) Expensive! I paid over 160.00 for four loads of laundry, and that was with a discount code. 2) the price model and/or estimates are not available on the website, app, etc. which I didn't like. I had to actually reach out to ask if they could provide me with an estimate. Not cool at all - just be transparent. 3) Even with the options I chose for my laundry, I don't think they were applied. My laundry did not smell like detergent or fabric softener. They were washed, that I could tell, but they did not smell good. In fact, my blanket had the scent of a washer that needed to be disinfected or something. Not smelly, but it doesn't smell good either. For nearly 170.00, my laundry should've been returned to me with a lingering Downey smell. Not the case here. 4) they missed two pairs of my underwear and it was buried in my laundry bags upon its return. Again, for 170.00, not one pair of my panties should have been skipped. 5) again, I know fabric softener was not used, based on the condition of my towels. They are stiff like sand paper. That certainly was not the condition of my towels previously. Conclusion: would I personally use the service again? No. For the cost, I don't feel it was worth it. Tbh, I would've ate the cost if the condition of my laundry was returned in great condition, but that wasn't the case. This was my first time trying this company. I got a text letting me know someone will come between 9:35 PM to 10:05 PM which I have proof of in my text messages and can share. The driver ROBERTO called and texted me at 9:15pm, I called back few seconds after and he said it's late I have to go home and reschedule. I insisted I was 1 minute away from my home, he refused and said reschedule over and over with so much attitude and aggression. I asked how long he was waiting at my residence, he confirmed two minutes, I said one minute I will be home around the corner, he ignored me and said nope again in such a rude manner. I saw a moth in the room where I had my clothing laid out the night before leaving on long work trip and my boyfriend was working crazy hours, so I couldn't ask him to take care of making sure the clothes were dry cleaned for me (my favorite sweater was at risk!). Enter Rinse. I sent three items out to be dry cleaned. Two came back alright. One was a brand new silk blouse that was discolored and misshapen with a strange hand feel upon its return. I think they washed it with a regular detergent? They recognized there was a problem and took another week to return it to my place, but didn't accept responsibility for the damage at the time. I paid for the priority pickup window between 7-8 PM, yet they kept me waiting past 11 PM before I finally had to cancel so I could sleep. When I rescheduled, I confirmed the same 7-8 PM window early in the day, and they confirmed it -- but still arrived an hour late. They showed up without the laundry bags they claim to provide, got my laundering preferences wrong, and dodged my question about when my clothes would be returned three separate times before finally admitting it would take three days. I should have read the reviews before using this company. I set out 2 bags of laundry - they lost a bag. I even had nest camera evidence of my "valet" picking up 2 bags which I sent to them. I can't believe they would loose a whole bag of clothes. Do not use this service! EDIT: Adding 1 more star. After a lot of back and forth they finally located my bag. First I sent a screen shot of the valet picking up 2 bags. Then they asked for my nest camera footage. Then I sent the footage. After a lot of back and forth they located my bag. I asked for my $9.95 rush delivery fee to be refunded as they didn't deliver all my bags on time. They said they would give me a $20 credit for a future order which I asked to be applied to this order. Well lo and behold, I get my bag and I am charged another $9.95 for "rush delivery" (though they are delivering my bag a day late) and the $20 is not credited on this order. So I email and text again. Finally send me an adjusted bill with $9.95 refund from the previous order, take off the $9.95 for this order and credit the $20.00. Will check my credit card to make sure they actually do this, because I have no trust in this company. If you are in the Bay Area and have a broken dryer or in need of getting your clothes washed, use Poplin or Family Laundry . Family Laundry is very communicative and super transparent about their pricing structure. I haven't used Poplin, but I can't see how they can be as bad as Rinse. On my last order Rinse used scented detergent on my towels which I let go when I asked for hypoallergenic detergent. Rinse is also not transparent with how they charge and you really need to check your statement. Also they do not send pictures when they pick up laundry (they did for drop off) so if you have a bag go missing, you need a Nest camera and video evidence to prove how many bags you put out. For me, this service is life changing. I'm neurodivergent and have problems cleaning my home. I also have an anxiety disorder that makes it hard for me to leave my home. Laundry was a constant stressor for me. I would feel anxiety around having to do it. If it didn't get done, I felt guilty about not going to the laundromat and doing it. My room was a mess and I felt shame about it not being clean. This service changed the game for me. Now my room is clean and my clothes are put away. I've used Rinse consistently for almost 3 years. So why is my review so low? Because I HATE doing laundry so I just deal. Here's what I'll say: if you don't like doing laundry or it's difficult/time consuming to go to a public laundry mat, or you have a zillion loads to do, then it's worth it. Because it is quite expensive. I'm on the subscription service for one bag and it's $75 month. ONE bag! Prices have gone up and the bags have gotten smaller. They used to be super roomy with a drawstring and now they're small, structured, and have a zipper. It's just way too much money to justify. Pros: Easy pick up and drop off Lots of communication, good app Folded and organized really beautifully They'll fix issues/credit problems Cons: Price They definitely do not separate darks from lights. I've had color bleeding several times. (Which, they fix for free but still you were expecting your laundry back and now you have to fill out a form and wait another week for it.) You'll lose items. Sometimes just a sock or two but sometimes other things disappear You will get other people's socks or underwear mixed in. Gross. Because they don't separate, your whites will get dingy You're at the mercy of the pickup/drop off person. So just like any other service, if you have a tricky house or apartment building, there's some handholding and extra work to get them to your place. We have used Rinse for several years and they have generally been acceptable, with issues like coming late for pickups/dropoffs and clothes smelling perfumey though we requested no smell. They have sometimes lost socks and that was annoying but they reimbursed us for replacement and it went ok. I am disabled and had one very comfortable pair of pants that really worked for me and didn't hurt, that still had years of wear, of a type that is no longer made. It never occurred to me they could lose a garment as substantial as a pair of pants. But guess what? Reader, they lost them. Also lost my business. And I must say they were a bit snippy with me as they took more than a week to confirm they have irrevocably lost this extremely important piece of clothing. I've been using rinse for a couple years maybe more. I read all the 1 star reviews and a lot of them sound like either the laundry facility or the delivery person was the issue. I would imagine it's hard to find reliable solid employees when so many people DO NOT TIP which is just awful I just can't stand it when people don't tip and THEN complain they didn't get some 5 star level of service. Any time I've had concerns their CX team knocked it out of the park. EVERY TIME they provided a solution. I've always made it a point to Communicate everything with CX- when my laundry comes back exceptionally clean (I have a dog) I ask if we can make sure I keep using the same facility. I check my preferences often. If scent is missing or a batch is particularly covered in dog hair, I will ask why that may be? Always polite, always grateful, and knowing they will provide an excellent solution as they always do. After a pleasant discussion with a more than satisfactory response- my service has been a great benefit. I would not recommend them for any items. I recently had them lose an item, and while the service and response was good and they agreed to reimburse, their maximum coverage is $200. The item they lost was over $500 and most items I get dry cleaned are at least $300, not to mention full suits that are in the thousands. They also shrunk several shirts in one order that was originally completely lost but showed up looking like it had been laundered instead of dry cleaned. Luckily the items still fit, but they are noticeably smaller and faded. I won't use them again and have let my apartment building know since they partner with them. read more
