This place is fantastic! All kinds of Corvette memorabilia, plates, and paraphernalia in addition to being a garage/auto repair shop. I was warmly greeted by Dan when I walked in, who was very nice and friendly (an awesome Italian guy from N.Y., so few of us around!), and Flavio got started on my car right away. I needed an exterior temperature sensor installed in my C-5 'Vette, and it was done in less than 30 min. I was quoted $420.00 for the job by one of the local "Stealer-Ships (don't want to mention names, but it was a Chevy dealership in Burien)". Corvettes of Auburn only charged me $122.00 & change, including tax; they saved me over $300.00! Follow up on this. Ended up spending north of 12k to get my entire engine replaced in the same vette. And it still didn't run right, sometimes not at all. Also basic stuff like almost going off of the freeway on the first drive because you didn't bother to make sure that the steering assembly was safe to drive after you tore it all apart. And telling me that 11psi oil pressure is normal. What really sucked was the complete lack of ownership, lack of call backs, etc. Corvettes of Auburn you really hosed me and I ended up pretty much scrapping the car for 14k. In my mind you owe me my money back and you really should be ashamed. I have dealer inspections, receipts, and even police incident reports to back it up. I took my C6 Corvette to Corvettes of Auburn for a complete engine replacement after another shop installed a supercharger kit which was incorrectly tuned, and the engine exploded within 1k miles. I'm probably the pickiest customer that they had to deal with and they did a perfect job on the install, really taking great care of my car and they have pride in what they do, and the finished product is proof of that. read more

I have lived in Federal Way for 36 years and this is where I go if I can not do the work required to fix a problem. And Heather thank you very much for helping me find parts for my 1979 corvette. I took my 1995 Corvette in to Corvettes of Auburn with a fail code. I had been told by a local Chevy dealer that my body control module had failed, and I needed to find a remanufactured replacement. Corvettes of Auburn cleared the fail codes, ran a diagnostic, and found it wasn't the body control module at all, it was a failing battery! They kept the car for a few days to verify the issue was solved, which it appears to be. I'm a very happy, completely satisfied customer! I highly recommend them, they've got a new loyal customer! I took my '95 Corvette here to get my FX3 shocks replaced. They installed my shocks that I bought and I am very happy with the job. I did have a "Service Ride Control" light on and took it back. They explained that it could be an actuator that has gone bad because of the new shocks being tighter. The right front actuator was the problem. The owner went out and removed the actuator and worked the top of the shock for a bit, than replaced the actuator on the shock. I started the car and the "Service" light went out, Thank you very much. The biggest point of all this, Corvettes of Auburn was patience with me, worked at my convenience with no pressure from them. This is a Shop that I like to work with and would recommend to any Corvette owner. I am very pleased with their work and their patience. I guess it pays to take your car to those who know it well. Corvettes of Auburn charged me many thousands for lots of things they replaced in my transmission, but the same exact problem persisted every time i went back to pick up the car. Nothing was solved. Until finally they replaced the $200 shifter and that fixed the problem. I wish they were smart enough to diagnose that at the beginning. I could have even replaced that myself, so i am kicking myself. I had originally brought the car in for an engine noise. They tore the engine apart completely, for which they also charged many thousands. The sound was indeed solved, but very soon after, the harmonic balancer and pulley fell off my engine and left me stranded! They said they could get me in the following week. Then at the last minute they cancelled my appointment and rescheduled me for several weeks later. This is my only car so I had to pay for a rental all this time. Their warranty, printed on every receipt they give you, clearly states parts and labor is covered for 12,000 miles and 12 months. But Dan, the owner of the company, steadfastly refused to do this as a warranty repair even though it happened only a few months and a few thousand miles after his work. This is insane. He bought the bolt that holds the harmonic balancer in place, and he installed it. Then that bolt fell out. His explanation to me was that since GM made the bolt, and he torqued it down to spec (supposedly), then it must be a faulty bolt from GM. But I don't understand that, because his warranty clearly states PARTS and labor. Dan is responsible for the parts that he acquired and put in my car. The man is clearly delusional. He might as well put his warranty papers in the bathroom, since that is all it is useful for. It is very dishonest to have a warranty on all your receipts and then to not honor it. I only wish i could give zero stars. For the final insult, i asked Dan how much i need to pay for this repair. He said $500. He agreed to meet me half way and pay for half of that. But when i showed up at his shop to pick the car up he said i need to pay $560, which is more than twice what told me on the phone. He said since it didn't get an official printed quote from him that his original quote, i.e. his word, was meaningless. This man is a complete fraud. I write this review in hopes that the shop will listen and maybe change their ways. I've been going to COA for quite a while now and have dropped a lot of money on this shop. In the beginning, the work was done with high quality and their quoted price was always pretty close. Unfortunately, something has changed and the pride and quality has dropped significantly. Also, the price that I am quoted always comes in 25%-35% over budget with no explanation. Dan is a great guy and knows his Corvettes probably more than anyone else does in the area bar none! However, the technicians below him are not taking pride in what they do. I'm not sure if they are just too busy for their own good but it feels lately like they just hurry the repairs along without doing it right. Nuts and bolts falling off your car on the way home from the shop is unacceptable and finding out that they did not always do the exact repairs you were charged and having to bring the car back or finishing the repairs yourself is not a business I want to go back to. Sorry Dan, you're a great guy but the shop is going downhill. Signed a very disappointed customer. read more
