My 17 year old nephew took his car to bucky's to get the power steering system bled. Bucky's quoted $120. We replaced the thermostat and had to remove the power steering fluid reservoir and air got into the power steering system. The power steering was making awful groaning noise because of the air in the system. We tried a couple things to get the air out but couldn't so we decided to take it to a repair place to get it done. After waiting over three hours at buckys for them to start working on his car, they told him the pressure and return lines needed replacing at a cost of $1700. Although his car is a clean little car, he only paid$1000 for the car and we didn't let buckys do that work. He brought it home from buckys with no power steering fluid in the reservoir. I decided to try one more thing I saw on YouTube to get the air out and it worked, no more noise in the power steering, and it cost me nothing to do. Buckys was trying to take advantage of a young kid, no doubt in my mind. His car had no power steering issues before we replaced the thermostat and it's now been two weeks and still no noise and no issues with the power steering. Nice try Bucky's! I read the reviews before taking my car here, so I'll reiterate, don't let the cosmetic of the shop deter your opinion. Years ago we ended up taking our car here only to hear the truth, so my husband said to take our car to this shop if we wanted to hear the truth. We took my daughter's car in, and after doing the diagnostic test, we were told to take it to the dealership. They did not charge us for the diagnostic test which I thought was unheard of considering every shop I called wanted anywhere from 150 on up for the test. At the same time, I had them look at another car and again, no charge and Seth told us exactly what it needed. I'm giving this place a 5 star based on honesty, something you can't buy nowadays. Weeks later I noticed a loss of power, I chose to have my car inspected at a local Euro shop. They found that the build of the new exhaust was not per my vehicle. I returned to Buckys to discuss the install and the parts that were provided by Tork Motosports, I was informed the parts for for a 2013 Mini Gen 2 model and my Mini Cooper is a 2005 S Gen 1. Wally the owner was kind enough to make copies of the work invoice that was given to them by Tork and share with me that Tork had removed the prior exhaust before dropping my car off for them to reinstall another aftermarket exhaust, which in the photo you can see they did only one pipe on the passenger side (Gen 1 has two pipes running down both driver and passenger sides) plus the angle and weld at the tailpipe was unacceptable. They installed a two ended tailpipe which only had air flow through one, the back pressure was unhealthy for my engine, causing a few issues. I was able to collect all the proof that the wrong system was installed due to the error of Tork Motorsports. I ended up going to a more reputable exhaust shop and had the entire system removed. I chose to go a different route after the awful experience from Tork Motorsports. I feel bad for Buckys because John from Tork Motorsports set them up to fail on producing a good exhaust system for my Mini. I didn't ask them to check but they did and gave me recommendations to fix. My son't car wouldn't start. I told him to get it towed into a repair shop; I gave him the name of a couple that I trust, Bucky's was NOT on the list. He had his car towed into Bucky's. They told him the repairs would cost $1200.00. I asked him to get a written repair estimate. They said they "are not setup to be able to provide a written estimate". 9:30 AM, I call and ask if today is a good day for an oil change. The guy on the phone asks me in how long. I say within the hour. Cool beans come on down. So i Drive all the way from seattle for the wonderful oil change price of 20$, and when i get there he tells me they cant do it today and as they are too busy. So you can imagine my frustration after having called first, then driving for 30 minutes. He then proceeds to tell me that in all the calls he received, he didn't tell anyone that it was a good day for an oil change. Not sure if the reviews before are for the same manager because they didn't include a name! I had issues with my new car (Acura). Took it to Bucky's Auburn to get it looked at. Wally (Manager) said he couldn't figure out what was wrong (it was dying if it didn't get warm first). He suggested I take it to Acura to see if they could figure it out. Acura quoted me at $5,000 worth of work! I faxed Wally the quote and he didn't agree. He then suggested I take it to Hinshaw's Honda. They of course found the issue to be different and quoted me at $3,000. The reason I went to Bucky's to have them do the work? Because every time Wally said he didn't agree with the problem, he said "I am not going to take your money and fix something that I don't believe needs to be fixed" !! I took my car in Wednesday evening to have an oil change. I drove straight home afterwards. The next morning on my way to work the car start smoking from every vent in the car, under the hood, and exhaust in the back. I spoke to an automotive technician who is shored me that if the car started acting this way after oil change, the mechanics made a mistake and we're at fault. I called them to let them know what had happened, They first said that they would pay for a tow if I paid for any repairs that needed to be done to the car even though it was their mistake that the repairs had to be done. Then they said that the mistake was my fault because my engine is bad without having looked at the car, and that they would look at the car for free but they were not going to pay for any towing. Highly unprofessional and very irresponsible staff. Please reconsider bringing your vehicle to this auto shop. It can cost you your car as it cost me. I know the allure of an inexpensive oil change is great, but the cons outweigh the pros with this shop. read more

Paul took care of my Prius and also, I came back and asked if he could check under my car to see if anything was loose, he helped me with no questions asked. DON'T DO OIL CHANGE WITH THIS PLACE because after they stripped your oil pan, they would blame the parts (oil pan and drain plug). Bucky said that the parts are inherently defected . I asked Bucky if they could replace my oil pan since they did an oil change for me last time, and their mechanic over-torqued the oil pan. They said that there is nothing that they could do for me. They could replace a new oil pan for me for $500. Keeps your eyes on this place. read more

Not trustworthy, beware. They did not let my car cool enough before trying to check the spark plugs, so of course they broke one, and they want me to pay to have it fixed. $280 for their mistake! Seems like they didn't know what they were doing or they did it intentionally in order to get a higher repair bill. We would have spent around $500 just on preventative maintenance, and would have taken our car back there for future service and oil changes. We are loyal customers to the companies that treat us right, don't be deceived by the cheaper prices, you get what you pay for. Very Upset over my service, brought in a coupon for my rotors to be resurfaced and the guy at the front decides he won't honor that price and instead charge me 70 dollars(50 dollar coupon). Then they found out that the bearings needed to be replaced and tried to take advantage of the situation by quoting me 650 Dollars to replace the front Bearings! Ridiculous. After checking only (1) rear wheel, I was told I would need: new rotors, calipers, pads, hoses,etc on both wheels totaling over $700. Yikes!! I said forget it. Little did I know, that when I purchased a 2012 RAV4, that the muffler would be completely shot after less than a year. Wally has been servicing my friends and family's vehicles for such a long time and he and his crew always perform excellent work at great prices. A few weeks back I called Wally at Buckys and told him about the squealing noise my truck was making. I also let him know I changed out the tensioner and belt at least 3x over the last couple of years but it still goes through belts. He got me in on a Tuesday even though they were extremely busy and his guys looked at it and informed me that my idler pulley was bad and the P/S pulley wasn't set right. Mind you before going to Buckys I had been going to another shop (DTAR) in the area but they couldn't fix the squealing. Left my truck on Tuesday and on Wednesday picked it up. Finally no more noise.
