Too bad all the reviews are the owner's son's friends. I have taken a few vehicles here and since the owners son took over this place has gone to shit. They broke my door panel, left my vehicle unsafe to drive and the paint is already bubbling. After I brought this to their attention they informed me that I need to bring it up to my insurance company and they will not fix anything. Well, that's ok. Lifetime warranty means I will take it to a reputable collision center, repair the paint and broken parts then they will bill you. This shop consistently over-promises and under-delivers. I cannot recommend highly enough that you take your business elsewhere. My car went to this shop on July 6. At that time, they told me the repair would take 3-4 weeks. 6 weeks later, my car still isn't fixed. I've spoken with them on the phone several times over the last few weeks and each time they've given me a new timeline for the repair. When I spoke with them last week, they said it would be done by today. I called today, and now they're telling me it'll be another week. They also told me multiple times that when my car got into the paint stage it would be only 2-3 days away from being done. On August 8 (10 days ago) they told me it would be "in paint soon." It didn't actually go into paint until a full week later. On August 15 they told me it went into paint, but somehow, 3 days later, it's still going to take another week. This experience has been incredibly frustrating. There are tons of other body shops in the area. Take your car to any of them, not Auburn Collision 1. read more

I highly recommend going elsewhere if you want your repairs done correctly. I brought my vehicle in because someone had hit me and damaged the rear quarter panel rim and door on the driver side. I brought it here because I was told they do "great work". The front office staff was helpful and I had no issues with them whatsoever. I dropped off my vehicle for repair and they asked me for the key and said they would update me with the process. We did not go out to the vehicle to inspect it when I dropped it off. There were no pictures taken upon drop off while I was there. They did keep me up to date on the process and I appreciated that. When I picked up my vehicle there was damage to the front bumper on the passenger side that was not there when I dropped it off for repair. I told the front desk lady that I wasn't sure if it was dirt or what but there was a mark on the front bumper. Eileen came out and said "that was there when it was dropped off and it's not dirt I can guarantee that". I told her that it was not there when I dropped it off and she mentioned pictures. I asked to see them and she went to the back to find Jym. I went outside to take a closer look at the damage and when I can back in Eileen told me "it looks like he just left for the day so I don't have the pictures but just bring it back and we will fix it for you". I asked her when I should bring it in she said anytime just give them a heads up. After leaving the office I examined everything more closely. I noticed that the trim on their repair doesn't even sit flush to the car like the other undamaged side. There was a scratch by the taillight they replaced. There was paint on the taillight and what looked like grease spots all over the exterior even though they washed it. There was also white powder all over the steering wheel. I was less than pleased. I dropped off my vehicle for the second time and again no pictures when getting dropped off. I showed Eileen the damage by the taillight and asked if they could fix that as well. They repainted the front end damage but you can feel where the damage was and not all of it got repainted. Also the part by the taillight was completely ignored. I was done at that point. I left and decided I will take it to another shop soon so they can fix it. I left a review on Google for them and the owner responded. They called me a liar and told me that I did indeed have that damage when I dropped it off and they took pictures immediately when dropped off and pointed it out to me. Lie! They told me that they showed me the pictures they took when I dropped it off. Lie! There was more that you can look at if you look at the review on google. Is that really how you react to a customer that is unhappy? Completely unprofessional and straight up lies! read more

Both girls up front being so nice and helpful, take some of the sting out of having to be there. Barrett the owner ,was the one handling our repairs. Repairs done on time. When we took our vehicle in it was not the cleanest. When returned to me and my wife it was very clean. Not a full all out detail, but you can tell they spent there time cleaning inside and out. Barrett in reference to original review dated 11/11/2014 I find it amusing that you wrote this review despite the fact that we talked to you, perhaps once during our whole experience at Collision 1. The main problem we had with our experience is that none of you seem to double check the work done when you sub out vehicles to other entities. Between the broken convertible handle and the spray painted interior door panel, this should have been easily seen when it was returned to your shop. Your shop clearly did not do any sort of "detailing" of the vehicle as you promised to have missed such obvious damage done while the vehicle was in your care. If you sub out a vehicle to be repaired else where you are responsible for what happens to that vehicle since your shop made the decision to sub out to these specific businesses. And despite what you say that the door panel was ordered no questions asked was a complete fallacy. You were not even present when we returned with the vehicle. Your manager made sure to come out the second I got there and tried to tell me that surely the over spray on the window was on the outside, even as I was scraping it off the interior of the window. Perhaps, instead your shop could have admitted the mistake and the damage done and agreed to fix it, rather than trying everything to try to avoid admitting fault. Not to mention offering us a $50 visa gift card to try and alleviate the issue. I should also mentioned that within a month of getting our vehicle "fixed" at your shop, we took it in to a GMC dealership to have the ignition replaced which was on the GM recall. The very first thing out of the saleman's mouth when we dropped off the vehicle was that the hood was misaligned and did not sit flush on the right side of the vehicle. Considering that it took this individual less than 10 seconds to noticed this shows the obvious neglect your shop does when it comes to checking the "quality" of work done. read more

Last July, I bought a brand new '14 Mustang for my wife, who was learning how to drive and having trouble driving my manual transmission car. The day after I bought it, I decided to take it to work to show my friend, and when I got home late that night, I was parking it in our apartment complex's awful, tiny carport spot. I took the wrong angle and SCRAPE. $1000 worth of damage (seriously). I just had to get it fixed. Auburn Collision is the only place I went to, and I haven't regretted it since. This place gave me great customer service!! I got rear ended pretty bad and they took care of working with the at fault drivers insurance and getting a rental for me. Everyone was very professional every time I called.. then when I got my car I was amazed what an awesome job they did, it looked even better than before my accident!! The mechanics really did a good job and made sure every little thing was fixed down to my exhaust leak.. they even guarantee their work for a life time!! I brought my car here to have a mirror replaced and some paint bubbling addressed. The manager (or whatever he is...) who does the write ups and appears to run the show wrote things up quickly, price seemed reasonable, assured all these problems could be solved with ease, big smiles everywhere..in other words, said everything I wanted to hear as a potential customer to get me on board. Work gets "done" on time, everything seems good. Until I get home. The mirror is unadjustable. It literally won't move when you use the handle/toggle to adjust it. After much effort, it finally moves...but in a totally uncontrollable way. You push straight left, it goes upperhand right. You push right, it goes down. Something was clearly wrong. And within the week, the paint is bubbling in the same place again. I brought the car back, and the friendly "can do" manager I dealt with before was a different guy now. Short, impatient, irritated. He says he'll deal with it. And walks off. I asked him when? He says, "I don't know, you tell me." It was very aggressive, very challenging. Couldn't believe it. Kissing your a** to get you in the door, then once you pay, becomes an arrogant jerk the minute you have an issue. I set up a time to bring the car back, the work gets "fixed" again...meaning, it didn't get fixed. Same wonky possessed mirror and within a day or so the paint bubbled up again. I immediately brought it back, and the short man's syndrome manager was no longer a friendly guy. He was clearly taking it personal. He started raising his voice to me and saying how the door could be contaminated and it's not his shop's fault blah blah blah...then says the mirror is fine. That's how they come from the factory. When you press down, it's supposed to go left...yeah, that's the ticket. Tell me another one. At this point he's getting loud, he's getting angrier by the moment and shows no sign of slowing. I asked him why would I accept this if the problems I paid you to fix, you didn't fix? He just stared at me, in the middle of his Scrappy Doo "lemme at him!" rant, and just threw his hands in the air. Great answer, the hands in the air dismiss...great answer. He said he's order a new mirror, said he'd fix the paint he already "fixed"... and he'd call me to let me know a good time to bring it in. Never heard back from him. Still waiting on that phone call. The faults in workmanship are one thing. They took $400 of my cash and left me with the same issues I came in to have fixed. Why promise you can fix something, if you can't? Then try to turn into a belligerent bully when customers hold you accountable to do what they paid you to do, that you said your shop could easily do? And, kind of a side note, their site promised a $50 gas card with any service over ___ dollars. So I printed that page off and brought it in when I dropped my car off. No one had any idea what that was or that this promotion was happening. I had to remind them twice that I was still waiting on that gas card. Never got it. They instead gave me a Safeway gift card. Cheap gas, from a cheap shop, apparently. read more

This was the worst experience and only bad experience Ive had with my car. The reception Sandra was the sole reason I had to cancel my appointment. If you want customer service that is fake and doesn't actually listen to WHAT your discussing come here. I went in with my car to have some body work done on my car, insurance was fully covering it and was all set up, all I had to do was drop it off. No problems...at least what normally happens.. Sandra did a great job calling up the insurance and attempting to force me to pay for extra costs, regardless of the fact the insurance was 100% covering every thing. Of course she was in the wrong (BOTH TIMES SHE TRIED). What discussed me about that was she tried to do a "secret call" so I couldn't hear her talking....It was the strangest thing I have ever seen (this wasn't a candid camera show was it..) On top of that the insurance company then called me up and asking questions about the shop! Due to suspicious activity. THEY TOLD ME TO GO ELSEWHERE! So clearly I canceled my appointment. I now want to say that Barrett took my concerns of the issues I had with the repairs made to my car and ensured he would have all the issues fixed correctly. I took my Son's 1998 Mustang to Auburn Collision after it suffered front end damage. I dealt with Eileen. We were dealing insurance and the process of damage assessment. During that time she said they would store it for free, for a limited time. They had almost a half acre of empty storage space so that cost them nothing at all. They got the hood to open and pulled off the bumper skin so they see the damage, about an hours worth of labor. Eventually it turned out that they didn't want to repair it so it was deemed a total loss. When I got my insurance settlement I saw that Eileen charged us $570.00 for labor and administrative costs without any prior communication with us. Like other customers' reviews that I have read, once they get you in the door the tone from Eileen eventually became rather cold and impersonable. She had to get some money out of us somehow so she trumped the bill. That's a very shady practice. read more

Barrett who was in charge of my claim never notified me of the delays in my repair. I had to call in to get updates on my car. Since 1999 we've used ACC for 4 vehicles (1999 Ford Explorer-hit-n-run- 2005 Ford Mustang-no-fault accident-2004 Honda Civic-son's fault-2010 Toyota 4Runner-hit-n-run) and these folks time and time again serve the best customer care that you'll EVER find in the south end. Their attention to detail, knowledge of damage assessment, paints, clear coats, is 2nd to none. I pride myself in detailing my cars over the years but when I pick up a vehicle after it's been repaired by ACC...they do such a good job that it makes me second guess the quality of detailing I do myself.
