My wife had a bad experience where she brought in a tire because it had a leak and they said they couldn't fix it by safety standards. I didn't get to see it but I do understand if it's within an area from the side they can't repair it. There are a ton of pictures and articles that explain this online they even have state requirements. We had another vehicle that had a nail and it was well within the fixable area. Not dead in the middle but a lot closer than to the edge. I made an appointment and after waiting an hour I was told that it was too far and they needed to replace the tire. I asked where it was and he said he couldn't for sure see it but he saw bubbles towards the corner when he dunked it. I think I may have found the problem. It's almost comical, if bubbles coming from the bottom move around they go up! It may look like it's on the side but it's not. Needless to say I put a patch on my own tire and it's working great. No leaks anymore. I am unsure if this is bad training, struggle to find good employees or a strategy to sell more tires. read more

I came by to have a tire patched up. I was told they couldn't patch it or rotate my tires because they were all at 4/32. Really after 6 months. Hmm. I don't think so. Here's the kicker. I watched the guy look at the tires and use his machine on them and he didn't even do it on the tire that was IN my car that needed to be fixed. But he did go ahead and tell me a tire that has less than 500 miles on it (full size spare) is at 4/32. LIES! I chose to leave Instead of arguing. Les Schwab patched the tire and I was on my way. As usual when purchasing new tires, they will ask you if you'd like extra protection and how they highly recommend it. Matthew decided to see what discounts he can apply since I've purchased my 2 previous tires from here and that I can purchase the certificates for all 4 cars. The place is clean and even when they're busy, you can see they try to be as efficient as they can be especially with phone calls. They have a long list of reasons to not repair it, to make you buy a new tire. I have an old 50's beetle. I rarely drive it. The left front tire has a slow leak. I took it there to get fixed. They refuse to patch it, even though the tire looks new, because it's over 15 years old. So sell me a new tire, or two so both front match? They don't sell that size. Ok at least put air in it so I can drive it home? Because it was under 15 psi they refused to put ANY air in it. They said it could blow up and they refused for liability reasons. So they forced me to drive off with a flat tire!! If that was my daughter or mother? I'd be livid. read more

Easily one of the better shops in the area, I've always had exceptional service when needing to get my tires replaced or looked at. I had called in at 5:30pm, since the store closes at 6:00pm, to schedule an appointment for the next morning. Eric picked up the phone and informed me to bring it in even though they were closing soon to ensure that my car would be taken care of by the end of that day. Wasn't pressured to purchase to the most expensive tire, but instead was recommended some of fantastic options, as the ones I had previously were discontinued. I've always gotten the extended warranty on the tires on all my new tires purchased, and they have always honored it when a tire needed replacement. read more

Buyer Beware! They will upsell you to replace your tires even after replacing your tires less than a year ago. They offer free tire rotation but will say that they can't rotate it because you have to replace it. They said they will repair tires but when you take it to them they say they can't repair it because it needs to be replaced. They are sleepy salesmen that do very crappy work. Today I waited in line for 20 minutes, 15 minutes after my appointment time and still had 3 people in front of me. I couldn't get checked in to get my truck in line to get service. Anxiety filled experience to just purchase 2 tires. Finally I got them at a fair price after I negotiated it to that price after them trying to upsell me the tires. When I left after they were finished, I noticed on my car seat these 2 plastic clips, not knowing what they were, then I grabbed my hand brake, it completely fell apart in my hand. I turned around, went back in, they came out, took my car back in the garage and then fixed their mess with red duck tape and said I can go on line and order more clips?? How would I even know how to put the clips back on? Nothing ghetto about this at all. Confused why I would need to order the clips, my brake wasn't broken before I arrived. I have gotten my tires here but the past couple times I came to get my air pressure check I'm either waiting 25+ minutes or just leaving and not getting service at all. I'm not coming at peak hours in fact seems pretty slow each time I arrive. Today I arrived and I'm sure the person in front of me was waiting for quite some time cause myself was waiting for 20 mins. They decided to leave as did I. We couldn't even get a heads up. Some communication would have been nice to let us know an estimated time or if they could not have helped at all. i used to be a long time loyal customer. no more. after my last 2 visits have shown me how greedy they have become. 1. set up an appointment for a tire inspection for a slow leak and told my air pressure sensors need new batteries or i need new sensors. ha! filled my tire and the sensor light went off. $500 charge avoided! 2. on monday 7/20/2020 i was told they would not mount tires manufactured in 2009 because of dot regulations. i know he wanted to sell me a set of tires, but i did not bite. les schwab did it, no questions asked. good bye discount tire! i will not be your upsell patsy! read more

I used to get all of my tires through Costco, but I have discovered that the prices and selection at Discount Tires is unbeatable. They often can order a hard-to-find brand that I prefer, and their customer service is excellent. Plus, they have enough locations to give me peace of mind when on a long road trip somewhere. Location/Parking: The Auburn garage is a bit of a challenge to reach from the freeway, but there is plenty of parking there, and lots of nearby restaurants to grab a bite while waiting for service. Layout: Decent waiting room with all the usual amenities; easy to approach the service bays Value: Again - hard to beat for service, price, selection & access. Online ordering/scheduling is a huge plus. We'll definitely continue doing business here for the foreseeable future. read more

My husband did a little comparison shopping & chose Discount over the other major tire store. Even though the tires are guaranteed for 70,000 miles they had to be replaced after only 7,000 miles and we had to pay because it was an allignment issue. Unfortunately, I was told the shop at the outlet center is too small for an allignment rack. Apparently, buying new tires w/out getting them aligned does not make good sense. Buyer beware & aware. We won't be making this mistake again. The other store did an allignment along with selling me 2 new tires & said the one side of the suspension was horribly out of allignment. Once again the staff at Discount Tire can't be beat. I had wheels and tires swapped from one car to another. Shade tree mechanic that did it didn't tighten the lug nuts and 2 fell off within 50 miles. Popped in to Discount Tire to get a whole new set and also have them check the tires, since I had bought them there. From the new Covid19 check in (which I appreciate) to the guys in the bay and the shop I got nothing but friendly, fast and knowledgeable service. I had a bubble in my tire and I drive an all wheel drive vehicle, so I needed 4 new tires. I was really worried about going to get the tires, because I hate waiting around mechanics and automotive shops. I got to Discount Tire right at 8am hoping for the best. The staff at Discount Tire greeted me at the door and were very friendly. I explained my tire issues, they measured the tread of my tires, looked at what I needed, and found the tire that best fit my needs. The computer program they were using was able to find lots of possible tire options that were compatible with my vehicle, so I was able to see the difference between tire choices. The manager helped me find a brand of tire that came with a rebate as well, so it was nice to save a little money through that as well! I was in and out in under 45 minutes- maybe even 30. My car tires are great and I have no complaints about my experience! I can tell the tires have a great grip on the road and my car handles really well.
