overall was not a great experience, convenient only because of the location as we were downtown and needed somewhere within walking distance. there were 2 people behind the register and 1 behind the counter but there was a huge line that took forever to move forward. tried requesting several flavors but they said they were out. It was $6 per regular cake cone - not even a waffle cone. Request for tips but didn't have napkins readily available and our ice cream was soup. they literally put all 3 of our cones upside down into dishes and they were spilling all down the sides and all over the floor, us... won't be back. read more

I cannot believe that this place is even still in business with the rude and nasty treatment they gave to me, my husband and granddaughter today! The girl working there was the nastiest person that I have ever come across in a food facility in FL! She was over the top annoyed by any question that you asked of her. EX: What kind of toppings to you have.... her answer: They're written on the board there, you can read them. When I remarked about how rude and nasty she was she stated "you expect me to read the toppings to you"?! And that was the last of the questions we asked her, every question was treated like that. We were the first customers to arrive on a gorgeous Saturday. Since we were the first customers we were informed the hot fudge was not ready. Not a big deal. When we went outside with our kids and ice cream, all the tables were filthy. They obviously weren't cleaned the night before or prior to opening. We laid out napkins. I had to go back inside to get more napkins. I took the opportunity to suggest, tables get cleaned before store opening. The server, did not say a word, huffed and puffed while grabbing some rags. This cute little ice cream shop is right on the water and on the boardwalk area. There's outdoor seating at the front of the building, if you want to take a few minutes to chill out. It's within walking distance of a couple area hotels and the Bishop Museum (South Florida Museum). Prices are fair and the treats are tasty. You'll find a few other goodies inside, as well: bottled beverages, candies, etc. The only complaint is that the selection is pretty limited. The sign outside shows a lot of choices. I was pretty stoked about that orange creamsicle float. But inside, they actually have only six flavors... and one was not orange. I don't know if the flavors change every day or what but when I mentioned it, the dude behind the counter seemed pretty irritated with the question, so I'm guessing they get it a lot. The sign is easily changeable so.... yeah. But we got what they had and enjoyed our treat on the patio. read more

So I usually try to shy away from leaving bad reviews for the benefit of the doubt, someone is having a bad day etc...but they had a board full of flavors yet had none of them. Mint chocolate chip was out. Coffee was out. Heavenly hash was out. Chocolate...yes chocolate was out. I really have no idea how you can be out of the golden standard. The seating area is bigger than the place itself but it helps give it a mom and pop feel. The prices are reasonable and while their main business is ice cream and smoothies they also offer up some novelty candy for sale. The outdoor seating is covered and rather spacious given the size of the place itself. It is a nice place to sit and enjoy whichever treat you might choose. Came here for tea, coffee and smoothies. I asked for some peanut butter added to the smoothie, and when I tasted the smoothie it was all peanut butter. Like, the smoothie looked normal but only tasted like liquid peanut butter. I stirred it up really well thinking it would help, nope. One of the worst things I've ever eaten and definitely the worst smoothie I'd ever had. The coffee offerings were from a Keurig, and they had Lipton's tea and green tea from Bigelow. So, a tiny shop on the river walk, it seems a quaint, nostalgic place. The board shows about 20 flavors of ice cream for the day but when you actually make a choice, there are only 7 flavors available so you hear "we don't have that" repeatedly. For banana splits, they don't have chocolate ice cream...or strawberry...and when you order a hot chocolate, you get hot water and a Swiss miss packet of powder. Not even milk! No whipped cream, nothing. For almost $4, I would expect a lot more. Never again. read more

The location of this ice cream shop is great, on water front and a block from our hotel, but that's all about it. We ordered a large mango smoothie and got about 3/4 cup of a Starbucks grande size. Tonight we waited in line with 4 other parties for about 20 minutes. At 10 min after 9pm the girl came out the door who was working. We were the only people left, last in line. She allowed the young black gentleman in front of us in and told us they were now closed. We said "we've waited 20 minutes"....she said no they told you we weren't allowing anyone else. We told her they did no such thing. Then she said well our credit card machine just broke. So what was it? Because we were white!? we stopped in for a treat. My wife looks at the menu board and asks for a small pistachio ice cream in a waffle cone. They are out of pistachio, so our friend asks for a mint chocolate chip in a waffle cone. The young girl gets the cone half full and then says opps I don't have enough I'm out of mint chocolate chip what do you want on top of the mint chocolate chip. So our friend takes a scoop of peanut butter to finish off the cone. As she went to hand it to our friend the clerk crushed the cone. My wife settles on a coffee cone. I ordered a peanut butter smoothie (The menu says almond milk, banana and yogurt) the two kids working there argue back and forth about who needs to make the smoothie. The young guy looses and begrudgingly begins to make the smoothie: lots of ice, a half a banana, a very small splash of almond milk (the end of the carton) a spoon full of peanut butter and a scoop of ice cream. The blender struggled with the amount of ice and lack of liquid. The smoothie tasted more like banana than peanut butter. Won't be going back to many other choices. read more

I stopped by this ice cream shop while walking the River Walk with my kids. The ice cream itself was meh but the customer service was horrible. First, they had no change. My total was 16 and some change and I gave a $20. The cashier handed me a penny and said that's all he could give me. What in the world?? Then the cashier gave me attitude when I told him that the napkin dispenser was out. He gave me a stack of napkins and told me to put them in the dispenser myself. They were not busy at all and I had my hands full with 3 children. If you can deal with horrible customer service and not receiving change back- then I recommend this ice cream stop. It's just ok. When asked if the whipped cream was real the answer given was yes, when received and tasted it was whipped topping which I absolutely hate. And they were out of the Reese's Cups for the PB sunday but it then turned into just a chocolate sunday which was fine but they sell RPB cups that could have been chopped up.
