This is a fancy rooftop bar located atop the Excelsior, which I believe is also a fancy rooftop restaurant. However, we came in for a late nightcap, and drinks were the only thing on the agenda.
The view of the city and the river is incredible, and worth the price of admission alone (there actually is no price of admission, but cocktails are 28 euro apiece).
As the evening gets later, the outdoor seating gets a bit chilly, but the extremely accommodating servers will provide blankets as necessary. They'll even happily (or pretend happily) move your table inside when even the blankets won't keep your wives warm.
The service is honestly excellent all around. I love that they bring a few snacks on the house (why don't we do this in the States?), and everyone was happy around the table with the bottle of wine that was shared, the cocktails that were had, and the amaro that I was sipping on.
Overall, a beautiful place for a drink, but you are going to pay for the privilege. I'd come back for dinner. read more
