Horrific!!! Horrible!! Shady!!! Avoid at all costs!! I went here 3 months ago for pdo threads to hope help my profile before a big work event on stage. I should of gone somewhere more accredited, and legit!! This place straight out the gate was shady af and i should of ran when they came in w a calculator trying to hustle prices and trying to get me to pay cash w their atm and when my card declined their atm for fraud reasons they insured I go to the chase a few blocks away w numbing cream and saran wrap on my face before we got started. Then they covered my eyes during the procedure which I had never had done before ( my other place was great in Manhattan but she had a family emergency leave and i was anxious to just get it done. My bad on that! I should of waited or skipped it!) I think they had different people working on each side and maybe was "teaching" the other person . Immediately after I was horrified! He said doesn't look great and i was like "OMG NO!" It was uneven AF and i had a crazy joker line and really bad marks on the sides by the bandaids! And i never had that when I got it before and they kept trying to convince me it was normal. Over the next couple days I had this horrific weird bunched up painful skin.. again never had before and texted them my concern. Again they told me to wait it out! It was beyond painful for months. I went back after a month wanting a refund and or resolution. They were poking me in throat and it was making it painful to breath or move my neck! They were awful and kept telling me they will dissolve in 4 months! I left so angry! You can see all my other reviews are so positive and glowing as I love to sing praises when due and i even gave this 3 months before writing and texted them again asking for them to make this right because it's still horribly painful and poking through both sides as they aren't attached and floating around causing bumps from the inside out, scar tissue and a horrible shape let alone so much pain and discomfort. They said I looked fine on my @jikaiahstylist IG account. The nerve! I've taken a video saying todays date and am posting it in the videos so you can see they are very much still a daily problem I have to deal w and when This finally dissolve will need to get some work done to hopefully fix there mess. I had an appointment but I waited for three hours to be serviced. They use Groupon as a bait and switch. Whatever you buy, when you get there you'll have to pay more. I paid 285 for 2 areas of laser 12sessions. When I got there 6 sessions for one area .. it's a scam on pricing. read more

I went to Dr. Nathan for a little refresh on my neck at the age of 50 I want to keep things looking tight. Dr. Nathan told me I would need to do collagen threads to which we did, within a weeks time I started to see the benefits and couldn't be happier. The medical grade laser is great. That's not what the one star is for. The one star is for the following: They claim to have 24/7 texting service. Not true, no one answers, ever. No one picks up the phone either. And I haven't gotten answers to my emails. Despise when small businesses do this, especially after covid when you should be eager to display client hospitality and communication skills. I was ripped off here, bc the front desk girl at the time (she doesn't work here anymore) redeemed my groupon before I even used it. I ended up not using it bc I was not a good candidate, but they still charged me full price for the medical grade laser...instead of subtracting the amount from the groupon which was wrongfully redeemed (and obviously groupon wasn't going to refund me lmao). read more

I hesitated for a longtime putting this review up but finally decided to share my experiences for the sake of letting other folks know out there. My sister and I are both trans. She's the one who recommended me to this place when Cosmed Laser Center was located in Midtown Manhattan. The place was said to be LGBTQ friendly. I decided to give Cosmed Laser Center a shot. Initially my experiences were good but over time I began to notice small minor things. That started to pile up for me. Things that were a little bit suspect for me and hard to ignore. There were a series of things that began to happen like. They once had an issue with a disgruntled client over the phone and when the staff hung up proceeded to talk badly about the client right in front of me. Another time they openly in front of a group of other customers in the waiting room (mainly cisgender women) asked me if I was satisfied with my hair removal sessions on my face. I'm transgender and so the question was off putting because the other people began staring right at me after that comment or question. I like to keep a low profile and am not open about anything like that with people I don't know. I felt a little bit uncomfortable and put on blast. Another incident that occurred was that right after COVID hit they're business closed for a while like all other businesses after the pandemic did except that they never reopened. After further review I found out that Cosmed Laser Center closed their Midtown Manhattan location in favor of they're new location out in Brooklyn. The reason I was given for their move was because they had experienced fire damage at they're old location. I asked if they planned on eventually opening up another location in Midtown Manhattan to which I was told yes. However this never happened. I use to get quick responses from they're former receptionist but then things quickly began to change. They no longer had a system where you could directly call in to schedule or cancel an appointment. I was advised that they only do this by texts now. I followed their instructions and would text, to responses that were unclear or simply didn't make sense. I eventually realized on my own that the former receptionist Mango no longer worked there. I liked her a lot better. She was super responsive and made me feel comfortable. The new receptionist is rude and not as amenable in trying to be as communicative with me. I'm unsure whether there's a bit of a language barrier or if she just doesn't like communicating with me. I'll text her asking for next open availabilities and not hear back at all. I'm then forced to head down to the Homecrest, Sheepheads Bay area in Brooklyn in person to try to schedule future appointments. This has happened on multiple occasions. I do live in Brooklyn as well but not that far down and find this new location inconvenient. This post is mainly for folks in community wanting to know about this place. This is my personal experience and would strongly encourage you to seek out some other place. The one star is for what I perceive as mean girl vibes. First of all, I'm actually appalled to see all the negative reviews because I've been going to this laser spa for the past 2 years and I have nothing but good things to say when it comes to their laser performance and other services. I am a Spanish American woman & I have never felt a touch of racism here once. As for the hair talk, they say that the darker the hair the better because the laser picks it up better than fine lighter hair follicles. Anyways, I have been with the company since they were in the city & since the building had issues, they opened their own spa in Brooklyn and it's so beautiful inside! They always offer coffee or tea (knowing me for a while they know how far I come from just to see them) but as for the ladies trying to push for a better package or upgrade- of course!!! What do you expect? It's their job to give you the maximum capacity when it comes to wellness and beauty. So let it be & if you don't want the best of the best recommendations, then don't go to the best! They push what they know is better for us, and I trust them. I am the example. I have AMAZINGLY HAIRLESS armpits, mind you- I've been getting laser hair removal on my underarms for over 3 years now- but they have perfected my skin. I've tried their regular "hot" laser & their upgrade- the "cold" laser & let me tell you- it is WORTH IT! They aren't playing about the results. A few weeks ago I saw a special rate for filler Advertised through Cosmed Laser Spa. They were selling 1ml injection of Restylsne for $300. 00 with -20% off. Before buying it on Groupon I called the spa and they assured me they would offer the same discount for two syringes of Restylane And not to buy it through Groupon. When I met with the doctor, who was not wearing a mask and was right in my face I immediately was uncomfortable. His PA was directing him on where to inject on my face and how much. I should've left at that point. I told him I was interested in correcting my nasalabio lines. He told me that I needed at least four vials of Restylane, I told him I was only buying the two that I was getting a special rate on. He proceeded to fill the lines through the instruction of his PA and when I went to pay she told me only one syringe was at the Groupon price and the other was at full price. She never mentioned that on the phone otherwise I would've purchased two coupons through Groupon. It turns out the placement of the filler on my face was all wrong and it pooled under my eyes not in the area that I had intended. I looked Awful, I called to complain, she told me to come in and that an injection of Hyaluronidase in the area would Dissolve the filler. I went back about a week later to Get the injection, the doctor said that this was the way I looked before coming in and took no responsibility for the misplacement of Restylane in the first place. therefore to summit up I paid close to $700, for filler that I had to end up getting removed out of my face. I would never recommend this facility and I suggest you stay clear away even if they offer you the services for free they are truly incompetent. read more

I completely understand businesses have had to change habits because of COVID however every business I have dealt with have been professional and accommodating, we are all in this epidemic together. This company does not return emails, phone calls, or texts. I had no complaints until they refused to answer regarding scheduling and or refunds.
