I've been getting hair removal treatments here about a year. It's a nice place, great service and super new machines which don't hurt. I think hair removal machines are very important. Most of the places in Brooklyn use old machines, old technology and they are not affective as well, it's waste of time and money, it's from personal experience . In addition to that, Muna and her team try to perform the service very neat. First couple sessions they make coupe appointments, 2 weeks apart to check, are there missed spots left. I think it's very important, because she wants everything to be neat, most of the places they don't care (I had experience with other salons before this spot). Also I got here pigmentation therapy. The laser machines they use at this office are very powerful and effective. I have medium light skin and coarse dark hair so getting laser hair removal was a great option for me. I have had 4 treatments on my face so far and the results are very good. The hairs grow back less and so thin The people that work here are wonderful. I can tell that Muna loves what she does, she did my first treatment, it was a little painful but the results were well worth it. I found out about Simin Aesthetic Laser through the Groupon website. I called Simin Aesthetic Laser phone number before buying the package because I didn't know how many sessions I needed to buy on Groupon for the Spider Vain Removal with the Laser Treatment. Over the phone, they agreed to honor the same price the package had in Groupon if I paid at their front desk. So, instead of paying the eighteen sessions package through Groupon, I paid it directly with my credit card to Simin Aesthetic. The first and second retouch treatment was included in the package. Muna, the owner, gave me the first treatment which was very painful, she burned my skin with the laser in several places. When I saw all the burns on my legs and complained she said that it was normal for the laser to burn the skin. She also said that the burns were going to disappear in a few days. Then, she scheduled an appointment for me to comeback in a month for the first retouch. After a month the burns were still on my legs and hurting. I sent her pictures of them and she rescheduled my first retouch for the following month... I called to confirm my appointment and I was told that Muna was on vacation to Turkey and I had to reschedule the retouch again. About three months after my first treatment, finally, I get to have an appointment with Muna for my free retouch. I was there, at Simin Aesthetic, waiting for her for more than an hour. Then she, Muna, brought me to one of the rooms and when I was on the bed while she was examining my legs, she told me that she was not going to give me the treatment with the laser if I didn't pay again. I reminded her that the retouch was included in the package I had bought directly from her. She said that she never told me that the retouch was included. She persuaded me to pay again and promised me that I was not going to pay for the second retouch... I believed her, I paid for the retouch that was suppose to be free because was included in the package I had paid for. The following month I went to my appointment with muna to get the second retouch, which was supposed to be free, and that woman had the nerve to tell me that if I didn't pay at least $150 she was not going to give me the free retouch and that I was free to go if I wanted. But at the same time she was very persuasive, again, she was telling me that for the Laser to work on the spider vain I needed, more or less, one or two more retouch. So, I ended up paying again for the retouch that was supposed to be free of charge. She was expecting me to go for one more retouch but I decided not to go back there anymore. The laser treatment never worked, I still have all the spider vain and on top of that the large dark spot in my legs product of all the burns that she caused with the laser never went away. Let me start out with I'm an avid review reader, but usually don't write them. However after reading the review left by Amili A, I felt I had to leave my own. I have no idea what negative reviews this person speaks of, because I had not found any online. In regards to the windows in the treatment area, I'm unsure if this Amili A person is going to the right place, but Simin is located a few steps down from street level. So the windows are high up and small, similar to those in a basement. Which means any passerbys would have to get down on their hands and knees to look in. Aside from that, the treatment rooms are in the back, so these windows are on the side, and back, of the building. There is no pedestrian traffic unless it's someone in the alleyway of the building, and the chances of there being anyone in the alleyway, to get on all fours to peek in windows that also HAVE SHADES, is just absurd. Moving on. As for results, a friend of mine had tried this place out, with a Groupon, and loved it. I never had laser but was always interested and looking into it. I waited until she was a few months in, and when she showed me her results, and explained the process and her experience at Simin, me and another friend purchased a Groupon and went to try it out. I am Italian, Puerto Rican, and Irish, with (naturally) thick black hair. I saw results immediately and am beyond pleased. Me and my friend originally started in September 2017, with one body part being treated. 6 months later I am up to 3 areas and when I complete all the treatments for these areas, I'm already deciding what else I want to laser off! We started just me and her, on the advice of the original friend, and after recommending Simin to our other friends, we now roll in like a small posse, 5 of us in total to get lasered every month! The first session, your hair grows back, but then falls out. You can literally lightly tug on any hair that has regrown and it easily and painlessly just FALLS out! The first month I shaved 3x before my second treatment (the third time being the night before the second treatment) and now I don't need to shave AT ALL between treatments and only shave the night before my treatment (just in case there is any peach fuzz I can't see or feel). The amount of treatments (and maintenance after completing them) differ for everyone based on hair regrowth and type, I learned that BEFORE I even started at Simin when I was doing my research. So I may need 8 treatments initially where you may need 6 or 10. But you NEED to go every 4-5 weeks and stay on schedule to ensure the best results. The first time, as nervous as I was, Muna put my anxiety to rest and did a patch test on my arm so I could see what it felt like. It didn't hurt for me. Even on sensitive areas, it still isn't "painful". I would say it's uncomfortable, and there's a slight stinging sensation, but only on the sensitive areas and as soon as it is done, you feel no discomfort. Then again, every one has a different pain tolerance. But Muna was unbelievably professional, nice and made me feel comfortable. The prices seem great, I have never had laser anywhere else, but have been looking into it, and Simin appears to be very well priced. The place is clean and welcoming and all the staff has always been friendly. If anyone has any questions, please ask I will give my best to answer, and I highly (and HAVE) recommended this place and will continue to do so. I had bought a Groupon for this place that said it was good for treatment of a single toe for a toenail fungus. When I went for my treatment, the pain from the laser was excruciating (felt like burning), but when I told the technician, she said it was expected to be painful, so I endured it for as long as I could. When the session was done, I was told that I'd have to come back from some more treatments on the same toe, for which I'd have to pay out of pocket, to make the fungus go away, which was not consistent with the terms of the Groupon. I also told the receptionist about the pain, and she reiterated what the technician had said, that it was to be expected and would go away soon. Well, it didn't go away anytime soon. My toe looked deep red/purple under the toenail, and the pain lasted for about a week. After that week, the pain subsided, but the red/purple color remained. It looked so gross that I couldn't even take my sock off in public. A few weeks later, about three-quarters of my toenail simply started detaching. I went to a podiatrist at this point and described what happened to him. He said it was crazy. He said that, first, these kinds of treatments (laser treatments for toe funguses) are done by podiatrists covered by insurance, so I shouldn't need to pay for it at a cosmetic laser place. Second, he said that it's not supposed to be AT ALL painful, so they had the laser on the wrong setting or didn't know what they were doing. He cut off most of my toenail, and it has since grown back and, many months after the "treatment," is starting to look normal again. But this was a crazy experience. The clear moral of the story: DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, GO TO THESE PEOPLE FOR A TOENAIL FUNGUS. read more

I have thick hair follicles - dark hair on light skin and it works perfect for me. I was so super excited groupon offered this opportunity as I've been anticipating doing something like this for years. So I can honestly say that the laser scar on my skin was really nothing compared to the experience. My welcome was ok but my interaction with the person doing the treatment was rather cold and lacked needed information. I felt as if I revealed and then she revealed instead of explaining to a first time participant. 'It's gonna hurt' is what I got followed by constant phone interruptions, followed by me asking about how to care for this, followed by drips and drabs of response from her. I felt almost as if my presence there was an inconvenience like how dare I make it my first time at their facility oh and have the audacity to be black....the interaction was so confusing and off putting I nearly choked when asked if I wanted to make another appt....freakin really? Please educate your new patients thoroughly before treating them no matter what your opinion of them is. I bought a groupon for to have my spider veins treated. It covered 6 areas. Meena was the technician and she was a diligent professional. Very personable, polite and attentive. She checked my legs back and front and mapped all my spidies... I had 7 additional areas which costs about 26 dollars and change each (Check their website) I opted to have them all done because the location is not close to my home. The treatment was about an hour and Meena was very thorough. Very focused while checking on my level of pain(as it is painful but manageable) We stopped at my request a couple if times. I got to their office earlier than scheduled. They greeted me promptly and the receptionist was very nice. I saw Meena on time and she was wonderful. I plan to return for a touch up of a couple of areas that were heavily spidey within 2 months and I will definitely go earlier to take a nice strall by Brighton Beach Little Russia. I brought a groupon for $199; after discount code, the price was around 159.20 for six sessions on large areas. This is my fourth treatment for doing the laser hair removal. The person that helps me do my treatment say, I need to do around 9 to 12 sessions, so hopefully my results will improve. Results: I would say I am surprised that my hair was growing lesser and lesser each month. Pain tolerance: First few treatments was tolerable but after going for the fourth session, it starts to hurt because she put the settings higher then the previous three treatments. She wanted to increase the setting numbers so that my treatment will improve even more and more; my hair will be less coarse or improving the best results. Overall: I didn't expect to be surprised at the results I had. I have always wanted to do the hair laser treatments for quite some time. So I decided to try out this place.
