I am presently in the Cosmic Adventures on Ogilvie. We are regulars here. I was charged admission again. I am in a wheel chair. I never set a foot on the play structure. You are charging disable people for a service they will never use. In the last year I gave your business a 1000 dollars in admission fees. Not to include the food. I love this place. It's been a total lifesaver for those crazy days with my one year old. I usually come here on days where my kid is driving me crazy, is getting into everything at home, and when I need a break. This place really tires her out. It can cost a pretty penny per visit, so we ended up getting an annual pass which was $99, and included entrance for our child, and two adults. The pass literally pays for itself after the first couple of visits. Birthday parties are also 50% off with an annual pass. Adults DO have to pay to get in, kinda sucks, but kinda understand why. Babies 11 months and under are free. There is a kiddie zone for kids 4 and under. I did notice that some of the older kids sneak into this zone, which sucks, because they normally play rougher than the babies/younger kids. There is also a dance room/area for kids to dance and go crazy, an arcade area near the food court, and smaller rides for the younger kids like a carousel and cars (the kind that you would find at the mall that costs 2 bucks). Parking is a nightmare. It's always full, and people never look where they are driving. Last time I was here, I saw a, most likely VERY tired mom, back up into another car. It is just mayhem here. On really busy days, they usually have an employee directing traffic. Ahemmm...it's like a kiddie Costco! Again, great place for kids to burn off energy, and for babies to get their stimulation. read more

Great for keeping our 4-6 year olds playing and happy for hours. Slightly smelly when you first walk in, but that passes. Price was very reasonable for hours and hours of entertainment. Not a ton for parents to do while you wait, but that's not really the point. We didn't eat. read more

This place is big, the kids always have a blast, the wifi works pretty well and if you have a membership the price is reasonable. Most places like this thankfully have a security protocol when leaving. Here it goes like this: you give them your phone number when you arrive which is printed on your receipt. When you leave you can't get past the gate unless you give them the receipt and recite the phone number printed on it which they confirm and permit you to leave. It's not a very effective security protocol. Other places have things like hand stamps with the same number or symbol for you and your child to show when you leave. That way they know you're leaving with the right kid. Cosmic should improve in this area. read more

I used to go to Cosmic Adventures all the time as a child, and I've taken a few kids here while babysitting. The kids can play ALL DAY! They have slides and ball pits, mazes, climbing nets.. everything. The place is huge! They also have a games room that's basically like an arcade for children, where you can win tons of prizes. They have an age restriction of 12 years old for the play area, and teens that are 13-17 are only allowed in if they are accompanied by an adult or child under 12. All children, teens, and even adults pay admission, but the rates are completely affordable and such a great value. They have a restaurant with pizza, burgers, wraps, salads, snacks, and drinks, for both the kids and the parents. They try to make it a peanut-free environment as much as possible, so outside food and drinks are not allowed. They can also help organize and plan birthdays and parties for large groups. If you have children, then you already know how important it is to find a way to occupy their time on weekends. Otherwise, you will PAY! Anyhow, I heard about this place called Cosmic Adventures and decided to take my daughter there one weekend. Man, what a DEAL (yes, that is the real bottom line for parents). For $13, your little demon child can run themselves ragged in a HUGE indoor playland. It is like a McDonald's playland, but eight times bigger. There are tubes, ballrooms, mazes, climbing areas...everything your child needs to stay active and activate their imagination. My daughter loved it and I plan to get a membership and go back regularly - especially when the weather heads south and you can't take them running inside the house anymore! read more

Its fun for the kids but as a parent you need a bank loan to pay for it. For starters parents have to pay alot just for the privilege to sit down and do nothing. You used to get $2 off at the restaurant by paying your admission but they removed this and increased the price of admission. Totally not worth it!!! Fun haven is much better and there no admission. We ordered a large pizza which arrived as simple dough. I asked them to cut it into small pieces so my kids could hold the pieces and they said we cannot do it. I took it back to cook it a bit more and they said theoven is already off. He took it from me anyways but when i got it back it was still the same. Disgusting, horrible customer service, and just an all out scam. I have been going to Cosmic Adventures for the last 5.5yrs (since my oldest was 18mths old). The cost back then was ridiculous, but because of the cheo night Tuesdays, it was worth it to go. Back then it was 3.99 for an adult to get in (which I think it ridiculous enough, seeing that as a parent I am watching my child, and not playing). Regardless, it was fine. Since 2010, I have been purchasing the membership, which is fairly priced at $99, which includes one child admission and 2 adult admission. In 2011, I had twins. Today I went to Cosmic Adventures with my 10mth old twins, whom get in free, and I tried to use my membership to cover my cost. The incredibly rude person at the counter made it known that the membership was only valid with the child it was purchased for. That included the adult admission. Firstly, when you pay $99 for a membership, you would expect to be able to use it for the child intended, or the adults if need be. Secondly, I think it is atrocious to charge $6.99 for an adult to get into the place when the only thing I do there is chase after my kids. It isn't 'fun' for me. I think I relax more at home when I play with them. Regardless, we go because it is entertainment for the kids. One thing that irked me today, was that I asked if I could put the younger kids on the membership, so that I could still use my membership for MY admission. I was told no because they were under a year old, and were free. So, basically, unless I am paying another $160 for their memberships, that they were not allowed on any kind of membership. My other issue with that place is that: a) over the years the prices have gone up, but the upkeep has not. The place is skuzzy. Everything is sticky, and after a day of play, my child's socks are black. b) The infant and toddler room is upstairs. There is no elevator. Trying to lug 2 20lb children up and down the stairs is not only a hassle, but also dangerous. You are wearing socks on carpeted stairs. I have almost slipped on them numerous times. c) The prices have skyrocketed over the years. Although the membership for one child is fairly priced, if you have anymore children the price is ridiculous. d) The price of food is ridiculous, and if they get it right the first time, the food is pretty gross. e) The games. Although they have fixed a few glitches, the games are pretty lame, and few work when we are there (and we go often). I am very displeased with Cosmic. Over the last few years I would have to say I went from giving them a 4 out of 5, to giving them the lowest I could. This incident today was the straw that broke the camel's back, and after our membership expired, we will not be renewing, and will be finding another place to play. I think Cosmic should really evaluate how they treat their customers, and be a little fairer with the memberships. Considering how there have been many new places similar going up in the Ottawa area, which do not charge admission for adults (which makes a lot more sense), people have more choices. read more

Although it is clean and fun for the kids, I found their regards for the environment appalling. Not only do they waste LOTS of food but they also seem to pay no attention to power consumption and/or use of chemical substances. Also, their prices are way too expensive and the food isn't even that good. I spent hours in that cage, observing as parents spent more and more money on cheap toys and pleasantries. Simply despicable. I hope more people will see through the "charming exterior" and understand just how much cosmic adventures is bad. read more

Cosmic adventures is one of the few great child play areas in Ottawa. At between $11-16 per child you can spend the day with them as they run crazy. This place is defintiely a place to take your child for fun, exercise and to help provide a good nights sleep later. There is also a toddler area suitable for children under 3 which is great for parents to get our with their young children. There is also a restaurant where you can sit and eat while your kids play or feed your children as well. The meals are pretty healthy compared to other places and parents can even order coffee. And then there is my son's favorite: The arcade!! The games are non violent, suitable for all ages and really quite fun!! The only issue I found with this place was that the staff did not do a great job of keeping the older kids out of the toddler area, which can be dangerous and also the birthday parties offered are a little too infelxible for my liking. There are no options to bring your own anything, which could include healthy snacks or allergy-free foods. Other than this though, Cosmic Adventures is a definite gem in Ottawa! read more
