My parents insisted on coming here to grab some popcorn, and we ended up getting 2 medium sized bags (one for us and one for them). They had samples so we knew before we even purchased our popcorn that the cookies and cream was a great choice. They had a great variety of candies including 3 oversized sizes of jaw breakers, fun gummy shapes and all the flavors of Jelly Belly jellybeans you could possibly hope for. If you love Harry Potter, they have a nice collection of candy inspired by the movies. I would definitely recommend stopping by. read more

What a fun place! No matter the size of purchase, they are super friendly and welcoming! This is our second time to the store, and we just love their wide variety of things! From contemporary stuff like Dubai chocolate, to unique things like Harry Potter butterbeer, to old school kinds of candies, there is something for everyone. My daughter actually cannot consume candy for medical reasons, but there were some little toys that she could buy. She also got a free sticker at checkout! read more

Stopped here for ice cream on another night with a large group. The staff did a fantastic job of moving us through and gave huge portions. The entire experience was fast, affordable, and easy. Definitely worth a stop, but be warned if you bring kids it is a full candy store. read more

Here's why you should go: 1) Space: It's one large room filled with every type of candy. "A lot of good candy, a lot of weird candy, but a bit overpriced" -my son. I'd add very reasonable ice cream and dole whip, cool decor of vintage skis as an homage to the ski resort in the area, and suuuper yummy popcorn. I loved that they passed out samples to try the variety of flavors! The chi-town cheddar can't be beat and the angry pickle is a yummy flavor too. Pentwater is a tourist town but Cosmic Candy adds in their own flair to what you can typically find in a candy/ice cream shop. Very fun for kids and grown-ups. read more

This is a huge candy shop with classic candies that not many people know about. It was a very cool store and I would come back.

Fantastic gourmet popcorn! Some of my favorite flavors are pickle, loaded baked potato, birthday cake, and spicy buffalo wing - the latter of which is dangerously devourable. The staff is super friendly and eager to help too. Cosmic Candy does obviously offer candy, but I did feel the selection was a little on the small side though all the basics were covered. I was happy to see rock candy sticks and interesting saltwater taffy flavors. There is also an area for ice cream that was pretty busy but I didn't get a chance to look it over! I'll definitely be back for more popcorn and perhaps a scoop of what everyone screams for. read more

I'm too old to appreciate the candy here...makes my teeth hurt looking at it all. My kids had a field day though, and i would have too when i was their age. Such a variety of sweets. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly too. Plus they have a Zoltar fortune telling machine like from the movie "Big". Kids got a gummy sushi platter and a big candy hamburger. They have a great selection of candies/desserts and treats, and sell many "throwback" candies that you didn't even realize were still available. You have to try their popcorn. I have been taking my kids here every summer since it opened. This will unfortunately be our last. While their candy is a tad more expensive than most, we paid it for the retro feel and the experience for the kids. Today, however, the woman manager there was very unwelcoming and was talking to the two teenage boys working there in a very bossy and unfriendly manner. A few times, my friends and I exchanged wide eyed glances at her comments. This was not the norm for the experiences I've had there in the past. After we left, I was disappointed but it is what it is. We then realized about 10 minutes later, my daughter had lost her wallet. We ran back to check at the table we were sitting at, but it wasn't there. I explained to the woman manager that my daughter had left her wallet and by chance had anyone turned it in? She told me no before I could even finish my sentence and turned her back immediately. There was one customer in the store at this point, so being busy was not an excuse. The teenage boy came out from around the counter to help us look and she immediately scolded him and told him to help the one customer who had just finished saying she didn't need help yet. The wallet only had about $12, so it is not about the wallet or the money. It is about possibly even pretending to care if a crying 8 year old girl loses her wallet in your candy store. PS The woman at the toy store across the street was apologetic and took our name and phone number in case it turned up. Take note, Cosmic Candy. This is the appropriate response. read more

We were going to get some ice cream at this other place we researched in town, but turned our walking feet around and came here! Boy am I glad!! My husband loved the Michigan brands of ice cream offered, my daughter is in love with Dippin' Dots and I just about passed out when I saw that they had 3 flavors of Dole Whip to choose from!!!! Yea! So many candies, old-school and now, and the atmosphere was roomy and decorative... you can sit and eat, while gawking over what I assume to be the owner's love of skiing... lifts , skis, and photos. You can even sit in a lift! Great place... I WILL RETURN!!!! read more

Really disappointed. All we tried was ice cream. My serving was the end of a bucket and all I could taste was freezer burn. Wasn't fit to eat. I would have returned it but we were already at beach for the sunset. House of flavors just down the street was a much better choice. read more

Good candy selection. A little pricey but a great place to find all the candies you desire, especially several I used to get as a kid (Slow Pokes, Laffy Taffy, Jelly Bellys). Super cool seating - old ski lift chairs. A fortune teller machine "Zoltar" like in the movie Big. Nice ambience. read more

First Popcorn was good for what we had to eat, You need better Quality of bags . Purchase a old fashion pop and a bag of popcorn . Never offered a bag for our purchase. After we were our way we noticed a big slit at the top of the bag and the whole bottom came apart, I realize things happen but for $ we spent on pop corn was we really didn't get to eat lot of it. maybe a better Quality of bags or offer people a bag if traveling with it .I have not been up in that area for many years .I get it you are a big tourist area . people pay the price which I think is a tad pricey, but the store is very cute. read more
