I called a few weeks ahead to make an Express Japanese Scalp Therapy appointment for us. Two weeks later, I had to call back to reschedule the appointment. It was an easy process and there were no issues. Benefits of head spa treatment include strengthening of hair follicles, stimulating blood flow, reducing dandruff, easing headaches and tension, and cleansing of the scalp and hair. On the day of the appointment, my friend and I walked in and were directed to the treatment room. Our beds were next to each other, but there was a curtain separating us so we had privacy. We were given a robe and told the staff when ready. The employee did a deep scalp cleaning, water therapy, head massage, shoulder and neck meridian, shampooing, nourishing hair and blow dry.​ The treatment took about 30 minutes and I felt so relaxed after. My hair felt very clean and soft and looked more shiny and healthy. After getting dressed, I checked out, paid and tipped with my credit card which has a 3% surcharge. It would have been cool if my scalp and hair roots were analyzed using a microscope providing a detailed view of my scalp's condition like in other places, but that didn't take place here. She asked me to sign in and viewed my appointment and the selections I chose to have done (on their website you can make an appointment and customize what you want done with the price next to all selections and the grand total). The receptionist even allowed me to sit by my friend who was already getting her toenails done. Sometime later, I was able to get started on my feet. They gave me what I asked for and they gave the additional callous scrub I put in the selections while making the appointment. When we moved to the nail they did not ask any questions and began working. I said "this is French manicure", however there was no response therefore I assumed she knew as she was following the sheet. Looking over, I didn't see the nail shape I wanted so I asked her to file it down. She would do the tiniest file even after saying I don't like long nails. At some point I got sick of saying keep going and just accepted the length. Then she proceeded with no questions, small talk, or statements and "finished". When I looked over there were no French on my nails. I pointed that out and she said "too late". I was shocked and disappointed at that service. No consolation, nothing. Why even offer the customization sheet and make you sign in where you can see all the selections you made prior if the technicians are not going to follow through? The nails looked atrocious and I had to go somewhere else to correct it. Never again will I go nor would I recommend this place to anyone.
