Excellent services!! Very clean shop and all the technicians are very talented. . They are happy to have walk ins or appointments.

I went to get a pedicure and a French manicure done there with an appointment. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and showed the upmost hospitality by the receptionist. She asked me to sign in and viewed my appointment and the selections I chose to have done (on their website you can make an appointment and customize what you want done with the price next to all selections and the grand total). The receptionist even allowed me to sit by my friend who was already getting her toenails done. Sometime later, I was able to get started on my feet. They gave me what I asked for and they gave the additional callous scrub I put in the selections while making the appointment. When we moved to the nail they did not ask any questions and began working. I said "this is French manicure", however there was no response therefore I assumed she knew as she was following the sheet. Looking over, I didn't see the nail shape I wanted so I asked her to file it down. She would do the tiniest file even after saying I don't like long nails. At some point I got sick of saying keep going and just accepted the length. Then she proceeded with no questions, small talk, or statements and "finished". When I looked over there were no French on my nails. I pointed that out and she said "too late". I was shocked and disappointed at that service. No consolation, nothing. Why even offer the customization sheet and make you sign in where you can see all the selections you made prior if the technicians are not going to follow through? The nails looked atrocious and I had to go somewhere else to correct it. Never again will I go nor would I recommend this place to anyone. read more

Sam provided a gel pedicure and went above and beyond! My feet were in need of TLC and she handled it with grace, detail, sensitivity and thoroughness. It was my first time there, and I didn't learn her name until I left. The place was busy, seemed clean and pleasant. They do not honor their scheduled appointments. Waited almost an hour past our appointment time before my daughter and I finally left. This was not the first time this happened to us at this nail salon. Very disappointed. read more

I have no idea what the other 1 star reviewers are going on about. I've been going here for about 3 years for pedicures only, and have gotten great pedis every time. It's a no nonsense atmosphere, appears as clean as any other salon I've been to, and the owners are friendly and accommodating. My standards are not low: I want clean, efficient, friendly, and affordable. I get all that here. read more

My daughter and I were on our way to another nail salon but ended up here. Big mistake! I kind of knew that on the way in but thought, how bad could it be? Bad. That's how bad it can be. The first thing I noticed was some dudes old flip flops under the manicure table...gross. The towel was filthy. I kind of threw up in my mouth just now just thinking about it. At one point, the guy said something like "uh oh" because of some mistake that was obvious and wasn't corrected. Polish was painted right over our cuticles, bumpy lumpy polish. Can't wait to get another manicure at a better place so I can get this memory out of my head. Run, don't walk, away from here. read more

Odd experience. Went to this salon when my usual place for a mani/pedi couldn't accommodate me. I needed a simple manicure. The place is a typical old school nail salon with very loud televisions and fluorescent lighting...it's not a newer "spa-like" atmosphere, but that was ok for what I needed. A woman started by taking off my old polish, cutting and filing my nails and putting lotion on my hands and cuticles, then putting my hands in these strange heating pad things. I have absolutely no idea what the point of that step was other than, frankly, wasting my time. Neither they nor the lotion got very warm. When that was done, a man came over and continued to prep my hands and apply polish. I don't know if it was the polish or the job, but it was a hot mess...polish everywhere, all over my fingers, unevenly painted. It was so bad that I asked for a do-over. I had never had to do this in 10 years of getting manicures at salons all over the world. The original woman returned and did a very nice polish job using my usual favorite color, then led me to the table to dry - a table with only two tiny and ineffective portable fans and several black light bulbs missing. All's well that ends well, I suppose - I walked out with a good manicure - but I will not hurry back. Took forever, no massage, and 3 bucks more expensive than the mani at Neo which is faster, higher quality, and includes a massage in a much more pleasant, friendly, upscale atmosphere. With Neo in town and bustling (and cheaper!), I'm not sure how Granby Nails will compete and survive unless they seriously step up their game. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. Im local to this nail salon and i typically never go here. Im going on vacation next week and wanted to treat myself and my usual lady was all booked up. I went in and i was the only person there. I asked for a manicure and gel polish and he basically only did the polish. My nail-polish is completely splotchy and he cut my cuticle with clippers. Which he used AFTER he painted my nails, btw. Very strange to me. Afterwards he put a strange oil on my arms and hands and rubbed very harsh and aggressively, not at all like what you would expect from a nail salon. My arms smelt like i worked in a fried food restaurant for a living. Never going here again. read more

I am writing this on my husband's yelp account. I hadn't been to Granby Nails in almost 10 years. I was so surprised by the new decor and how clean it was! I had a gel manicure, pedicure and eyebrow wax. I really enjoyed my service. Jenny was very attentive! She was thorough and I did not feel rushed at all. Mark, the owner, was very friendly. Horrible! I tried this place because it was close and I needed a touch up between my regular appointments at my nail place in Avon. If you want some guy with dirty fingernails (one of which is really long and he scrapes it along the side of your nails to clear away excess polish), a camo baseball hat and flip flops doing your nails, this is your place! Regular prices. $30 for gel manicure. Closed on Sunday. They're in no hurry even if you are. I needed to be in and out as fast as possible but was left alone for the UV gel to cure while another customer got a pedicure even though I came in first and while the salon was completely empty. She put the top coat on the bottom and base coat on the top, apparently they're not interchangeable. I asked for a refund. read more

I went in this salon for a full set of nails. No one spoke English and they proceeded with giving me a manicure. . I thought she was just cleaning up my nails to apply the fake nails but she asked me what color I wanted for my nails I tried to explain that I wanted longer nails and she said you done. Worst pedicure experience of my life. Went here with a Groupon for a basic pedicure. The woman was beyond clumsy. It was VERY obvious that she had had no training. She was awkward through every step of the process, including burning both sides of my leg with the too hot stones. Not only will I never go here again, but I will not give my daughter the Groupon I had purchased for her to get a pedicure over the Christmas holiday. read more
