UPDATE: LEFT WITH A BLOODY TOE. I walked back to work to find that my toe bled everywhere on the inside of my flats. I very politely went back to ask for a refund. I asked to speak with the manager outside (didn't want to make a scene or big deal) and she refused to give me a refund even though my toes were completely sore and smudged from having to wipe off the blood. Her response was "accidents happen, sorry". Review from previously: Would not recommend to anyone. Not even busy and still a stressful environment... I walked in and was only able to choose from literally 10 colors. I had to wait 15 min even though I had an appointment. My lady hurt me 3 times while getting my pedicure and the outcome does not look good. A different lady did my nails and it was the laziest manicure I've ever had. She did not clip cuticles or give a hand massage and there are literally chunks of my natural nail color showing. Worst $45 I've probably ever spent except for maybe a parking ticket. read more

I need a quick pedi before a wedding and this was the only place close to my hotel that could take me. I knew instantly I should have turned around. If you're use to nice scrubs, scented water, warm stones, paraffin wax, you know, a pedicure. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE! Before he even started my water, he took off my polish, no gloves. RED FLAG. They don't use sanitation covers for the for the tubs, 2ND RED FLAG. He proceeds to file and buff my nails before I've even allowed my feet to soak. He then puts my feet in this PLAIN WATER and then gets the cuticle cutter out of a school pencil box holder, which tells me, you don't sanitize. He began bird pecking at my cuticles, he took a chunk out of my baby toe. He dips his finger in the water and rubs it on my toes as he's removing my cuticles. He then removes all that built up cuticle with the towel my feet are sitting on and puts the tool back in the box. I was done. He brought out a disgustingly white foot scrubber (it was white from all the dead skin from previous feet that have been scrubbed with it) out of this dirty drawer and I told him no thank you. He then tries to use this worn out purple pumice thing and I told him I don't want my feet scrubbed at all. He tried to use some SUAVE LOTION on me, that was an absolute hell no. I asked him to just paint my toes please, I needed to go. The paint job is the ONLY GOOD THING. They don't use toe separators (I wouldn't have wanted a used one anyways) or give you paper flip flops while your feet dry. He chairs a ripped and old, the decor...does not exist. In town for the Broncos game and i desperately needed a fill. Called several nail salons in Denver and was shocked to learn that none do acrylics! Was so happy to find Cosmopolitan Nails. It appears that they are the only nail salon in downtown Denver that do acrylics! (What a relief.. was starting to feel hopeless lol) anyways, Lynn did my fill and i'm happy. Overpriced. Eyebrow, "deluxe" gel pedi, and gel mani came to $120 and took about 3hrs. Lynn had a bad attitude. Small selection of gel colors. Deluxe pedicure is a joke. Soak your feet in a plain tub of water, cuticle remover, and a glass of hot Chardonnay. Don't ask for a refill. That's an extra $5. Also, I stubbed my toe wich caused it to bleed. I asked the man to give me alcohol on a cotton swab. Instead he wiped the blood of himself (with no gloves) and set the bloody cotton ball next to all the supplies instead of disposing it in the trashcan. I asked him for a bandaid and he asked me "why?" I said "to avoid infection" proceeds to speak profuse Vietnamese to Lynn. Will never return but I guess I'd give my nails 2 stars. read more

I was in this place for 3 hours and my nails look like absolute sh*t! Pedicure turned out fine but nails did not. They had the older lady do both. I had to complain about the nails that we're all wonky, lumpy and all mis-shaped in some capacity. There is still hardened acrylic under my nails and on the sides of my fingers. Another lady came over to help with the filing and definitely made them a 1000x better than they were but the foundation was already so bad it would've taken a miracle to get them just right. NEVER again! The only good thing I could say is they didn't give me major attitude about it. read more

I love this place! Only after a few visits with Lynn the owner, I've established a funny bond with her. We joke back and forth with each other and it's always a good time! She's the most honest nail tech I've ever met. Sometimes I want certain things done and her recommendations always turn out better. Per usual looking up things on Pintrest doesn't always mean the Salon will have the exact colors. Lynn goes out of her way to make sure that everything is as close as I wanted them to look or exactly as I had imagined them to! She takes her time and is extremely precise with everything that she does. Everytime I've had rhinestones or jewelry on my nails they haven't fallen off. Ok, seriously this is the best nail shop in Denver! All the girls do an amazing job. You might be in here for a lengthy time but its worth it. My cuticles on both my feet and hands have never looked this good! They even get all the hangnails! And the bottom of your feet?!! They will seriously feel like baby's feet. They scrub it to the bone. Lol. Ok well not litteraly but its that good. The nail polish selection is not big, I agree with the other reviewer but they have a nice little selection you can still choose from. I always bring my own just because I dont like to share with others. Me and my entire family and that includes my dad have been coming here for 3 years now. I moved to chicago but I always come back here once a month just to get a pedicure and a manicure (and thank goodness for being a flight attendant I can do that ). Because I have been to many other places in different states and they never do as good job as this wonderful place. My favorite girl is Wynn. But I promise that the other girls are just as good. The prices for how good they are, are great. Manicure is $15, Pedicure is $25 but I always get a combo and I pay $35 for mani and pedi. And I tip her $15 bucks. This place is a must! I had a pedicure, manicure and eyebrows waxed. It was $101. Beware!!!!! It is so overpriced. I realize that due to the pandemic things have gotten tight but this is ridiculous. You would have thought this was north cherry creek instead of a run down place in lower downtown with one worker. The place was dingy and the door had not been cleaned in years. This place is the worse to go! First off it was a puddle of water bedside the pedicure chair, they had no plans on cleaning it up. The guy that's there did my pedicure so as he's doing my pedicure I suggested that he should also get the rough spot but he tells me at the end of my pedicure that I he can't give me a full pedicure unless I get a deluxe one! I went for a mani pedi at 12pm on a Saturday. I waited about 15 mins in the chair (which was fine) but then had probably the WORST pedicure ever. She asked me if I wanted regular or deluxe, and I said regular assuming I'd get the clean-up, scrub and lotion. I got a mediocre clean-up, the weird most uncomfortable scrub and NO lotion so many feet were rough and peeling away. I immediately paid my fee and left without a manicure, upset that I even paid the $30. read more

I've been seeing Lin and the staff at Cosmopolitan Nails for going on 5 years and there's good reason for it. While this salon doesn't have the bells and whistles of many others (limited polish choices, etc.), it is by far the best manicure/pedicure/whatever I've ever had. I've sat in the salon for close to three hours for a mani/pedi because of the attention to detail they give; my feet and hands have never felt as good as when I leave the salon. This is a family owned and operated business and they don't put on airs about what they do -- but what they'll consistently deliver is amazing services with a great attitude at a price that is more than fair. read more

Like someone else said, there aren't a lot of places that do acrylic nails in downtown Denver. This is a great little gem of a nail salon. I didn't catch the name of the nice woman who gave me a gorgeous full set, but she went above and beyond to make sure my nails were shaped just right to my preferred almond shape. The cost was $45, which I feel is quite reasonable for the skill involved. If I'm ever back in the area, I would be thrilled to get my nails done here again. read more

I came here a couple months back and got a fill and although the place has no ventilation and is not very clean, they did a pretty good job. I'm pretty sure I paid $30 for the fill then. Went there today and still dirty and no ventilation and got the exact same thing (fill) and they charged me $50! I'm sorry, but $50 for a fill when it's not in a fancy spa is ridiculous. Literally the worst nail salon I have ever been to in my life the manager and I had to get into a confrontation because of the poor service poor quality and poor hygiene of this place do not get their shellac it peels before they even have a chance to dry it I made them remove it instantly I paid $30 each for two manicures and one asking for a refund I had to show up with police because I could not be heard they claim to have a no refund sign but it is nowhere in the shop and when I took pictures of the shop to document that the woman tried to get physical and I had to report her the manager of the salon Has no business ethic and all they are is attitude when they know they are giving for quality service the pictures are in sane to let a person pay full price and walk out the way I did I hope no one ever goes to this place can you will be furious none of our pedicures all looked brand new fresh or even remotely good We got to regular pedicures that only consisted of callus removal and a nail clipper and Luke warm water and a very unsanitary bowl rings around it they tried to add a design on my daughters feet and charge me for it and I refuse to pay because regardless of the fact that it did not look like a flower it was definitely not asked for we were in the salon for almost 2 hours to receive the world's worst service please please do not go here and waste your time nor your money nor parking they are not worth it in anyway I hate that I had to give them even one star If you look at the side of their tool cart so you will see how filthy the equipment and the containers are I guarantee none of those utensils have been sanitized in a very long time before actually allowing yourself to put your feet or your hands subject to this abuse I would asked to look closely at their materials and you can judge from the get go whether you want to walk out or not chances are you'll leave out running ... all of the pictures posted are post $60 pedicure . read more

I mean, they got the job done. It's not well ventilated and hasn't been taken super well care of, but they were willing to take me for some waxing as a walk in. I got eyebrow and lip for a total of $20. Not bad. My skin felt like it had been ripped off, but hey, that's kind of what I signed up for. Luckily I had some make up in my office to cover the pinkness. I'd probably still return if I was crammed for time and wanted to just hop over from my office. From the waxing room you could hear people thumping around upstairs, I thought they were going to come through the dirty drop ceiling. I never leave bad reviews- I understand sometimes establishments have off days and that's not their fault. I had such a terrible experience here that I have to leave a review. I scheduled my appointment at 4:30- at 5pm she told me to sit down in the chair and continued to ask what I wanted as she was drilling off my current manicure. Once there was only TWO nails drilled off she went back to the girl she was working on prior to me. Leaving me with NO option but to stay and wait for her to do my nails because now I had two missing. I was sitting like that until 5:30. Note there were only THREE employees trying to juggle 4 people as well as 2 others waiting and they were still attempting to take other appointments. She comes back to start my nails, I tell her I need a classy short French tip- as I am going to see my family and I wanted a simple and clean look. She suggested I do a rebase because this that and the other thing- only later for me to realize it was just an excuse to get me out of there quicker so she didn't have to do a new full set. The entire time she was working on my nails she was so rude and uncommunicative. She was rushing my nails the whole way through literally just trying to get in as many people as possible. She finishes my nails with them unclean and unfinished-meaning there is bits of nail polish around my nails, the white was uneven and some of the pink polish overtopped the white, they just look so trashy. I asked her to clean them off and annoyed she comes back and does a half assed job. I didn't like the length and felt as though they were too long and suggested trimming them- she just responded with, NO. It wont look good. ... okkkk, she just didn't have time. I looked around and noticed so many frustrated people- I just wanted to get out. All I wanted was a simple French tip nail- instead I got a dirty, unclean and trashy looking set. Tried to charge me $55 for god knows what, I didn't even get a new set. Ended up charging me $40 for the worst manicure in my life. I'm convinced the location is the only reason they are still open for business. Conveniently located downtown Denver, and the only salon downtown that does acrylic. I will gladly drive 20-30 min to a different salon. I will never go back here again. read more

I cannot vouch for what everyone looks for in a nail salon, but I will tell you what I look for: 1. Cleanliness 2. Fresh polish and colors 3. Thorough, good-looking and painless manicures and pedicures 4. Wonderful customer service I have been to Cosmopolitan Nails numerous times now and these "requirements" are met EVERY time I go. Isn't the reason we go to these salons in the first place is to pamper and spoil ourselves? This is exactly what you get from this salon. From a full acrylic set, to Gelish (or Shellac), to manis and pedis, the job is done right the first time just the way I want it done. Beyond having good products and a clean salon, I would almost put more importance on the customer service. I intensely dislike going into a salon and the entire time 3 words were spoken to you while the employees talk amongst themselves. At this salon you get exactly the opposite of that. You are engaged and included in conversations and do not feel alienated during your time there. Furthermore, you are actually listened to when it comes to details on your nails and how you want it done. I discovered this salon because I lived in downtown Denver. I have since moved to Lakewood and STILL go back here because they do such a fantastic job! For everyone in the area, definitely check out this salon! read more

Would not recommend at all. Dirty, dishonest and poor customer service. I called ahead to get pricing for a full set of acrylics. Was told $25. Technician tried to sell me several extras I did not want. I very clearly declined. The only thing I asked for was to clean up cuticles which ended up being $15 (which I was fine with because, while I didn't verify the pricing first, I did request this.) At the end she tried to tell me I owed $80. Then it was $70. Then $65. I asked her which it was and how that was even possible and she told me it was because I asked for gels and claimed that she told me the price and I agreed to it. Completely false. (In fact I came here from another salon I passed a few blocks away that charged $60 for a full set and I wanted a basic no frills acrylic application for a decent price.) I politely but firmly asserted I had neither requested nor agreed to this and asked to speak to someone else in charge. They went back in forth, not in English, and the other woman proceeded to tell me she had no way of knowing who was being honest so I would have to pay. Ended up with a ridiculously overpriced acrylic manicure, not to mention a bleeding right middle finger from where she cut my cuticle deep. Given the cleanliness of this place and the look of the boxes some of their tools are kept in, none too comforting. So for the second time I've called to get in for a pedicure and been told to come over and we can get yiu right in. Both times I put into the chair, water drawm and sit there for 20 plus minutes till they can take me. The owner woman always lies. Walked out this time with Geert wet as they refused to give me a towel. I like the nail techs but the lady owner is to slimy to return and wait and wait then hounded for upgrades. Absolutely horrible! Maybe things are done differently here, I'm from Chicago. However, taking a shellac manicure off with just a tool and a bowl of acetone seems like a waste of time. It took 35 minutes for her to simply remove my old manicure. And she was rude why I asked her why she wasn't using a cotton ball and phone oil instead. Don't go here. read more

Terrible gel mani. Completely uneven mess. Would never come back! Place is dirty as well. Manicurist tried to "fix" it and said "it's perfect" even though it is an embarrassing mess and charged me full price. Now I have to go have it fixed someplace else. No one come here it's awful. read more

They did a good enough job in the end, but the atmosphere was lacking to say the least (unless charmingly not-quite-clean is trendy now). The woman who did my nails really attempted to up-sell, which I didn't appreciate. Also, I've never had the soles of my feet feel pain before during a pedicure, but the man who filed my feet really went to town on my soles. For the price ($65 gel French mani and regular pedi), I'll try somewhere else if I'm in town next time. read more

2 1/2 Stars. I tried this place on the recommendation of a co-worker and it was only ok.....nothing special. I made an appointment thinking that would save time. When I got there (a few minutes early I might add) there were only 2 people working and they already had clients. I picked my colors and waited....and waited....and waited. 45 minuted later the person who was in the middle of some lady's pedicure got up turned on one of the chairs and told me to sit there. I sat there for another 15 minutes when the other person working finished with her client and and started on me. It seemed like any other pedicure I had ever had until the woman asked me if I wanted her to razor my feet. Excuse me? You want to shave my feet with some random razor from your station? I don't think so. When I politely told her "No, thank you, not today" she went and got her dremel-type tool which she had been using on the previous clients nails and she dremeled my feet. I've had my calluses pumiced and filed down with the pedegg thingy, but never razored or dremeled. Somewhere in all this the other person finished up his pedicure and he started in on my mani. Until a walk-in client came in and he went to do her nails instead. Someone else wandered over to finish. The girl was super nice, but I guess I wasn't very clear...My nails got filed WAY short and I don't think I've ever had my cuticles clipped so much. My fingers were sore the next day. The Good: Polish well applied on fingers and toes. No chips yet! The Bad: Long wait, even with appointment Not the worse place I've ever been by far, but definitely not the most hygenic either. read more
