They also offer all you can drink and drinks/snacks during your service which we did not try but can imagine it would be nice during longer appointments. Finally found my go-to nail place in Denver! I came here to redo my acrylic gel after having a terrible experience at another place and City Nail Bar took it all off for me and redid my nails beautifully at a fraction of the price of the other place. Not to mention the staff are super sweet, the place is adorable inside and they even have wine! FYI Google still shows this as a lash bar but they do NOT do lash services anymore if you're looking for that. But they do an amazing job on nails! read more

Honestly I had no issues here. Wanted to try somewhere new because I've been somewhat unsatisfied with the regular bougie spot I go to for gel x so I thought why not. Served promptly, I feel like it came out pretty good looking. I will say they are definitely longer than I would normally get; but that was my own fault because I'm just too lazy and impatient once she filed them to say something cuz frankly I didn't want to wait to file shorter. And honestly I like the look of them longer I just struggle with day to day life with super long nails lol. I would come back. Didn't have time for a pedi this time too but will try next time. read more

My daughter and I had been in town for a few days and had decided we wanted a mani/pedi. She picked the place. We walked in and I was in heaven! I had no idea we weren't just waking into your average nail salon. The decor is very nice and made us feel like we were somewhere special. Then I realized they served wine. What a treat! They even have an "all you can drink add on" for $35 if you feel so inclined. The service was fantastic. Everyone that worked with us (3 ladies) were all very sweet and talented. And a chilled Sauvignon Blanc was the icing on the cake. We had a very nice time and loved our treatments. We highly recommend! read more

I gave this place 2 chances (and even brought a friend) -- but both experiences were so terrible, I will literally never come back again. 1) BOTH times I was here, I sat around for no less than 30 minutes after my appointment time before they got started. The uncomfortable part was that no one really asked for my appointment time/service or did much to acknowledge me the whole time (much less offer me a drink from their "bar"). 2) They use some weird off-brand products that just don't work (or maybe just have old ones). It took 3 layers of uneven, awful-looking coats of Pyramid gel polish on my toes for ME to have to ask them to just use one coat of OPI to "fix" it. Otherwise I don't know... would they just have kept going with more coats of the crappy polish? Let me walk out of there with crappy toes and charged me for it? 3) The first time I got a powder dip manicure here, the powder went on unevenly and looked super bumpy. Not sure if it was the brand, or if they just didn't know how to do it. Again, I had to be the one to point out that it didn't look right (or they would have just charged me and let me walk out) -- so they went over it with a coat of the "same color" gel polish. Never had to do this at any other salon. 4) The second time I got a powder dip manicure here, I was doing a natural tan color -- and they didn't even completely take off the BLUE color I had from the previous time, so it still showed through at the end. They also used some weird powder that is used for both acrylic and dip nails, so it has been lifting from my nails after just 2 weeks (the way acrylics used to). Two of my nails (painfully) ripped off at one point because they were lifting so much and I caught them on something. 5) I brought my friend here for a powder dip manicure. She has super long natural nails. Without even looking if she had real nails or fake tips under her current powder coat, they clipped off all her real nails. She almost cried. And then they charged her for the tips they glued on! 6) Same friend as above has had a full nail and half of another one pop off 2 weeks in. She's been getting powder dip for years and never had that happen before. Yeah... so even though this place is more affordable than a lot of other salons or may have last-minute appointments available -- it's not worth it. read more

I went here because it's walking distance from my house. In reality I would give it 3.5 stars but only because it smelled so bad of chemicals when walked in and the air time. A lady asked me to sit at the counter and pick out my color, which I did working a few minutes then I waited another 15 minutes after my appointment time to have someone start my nails. I found out she was the owner and that their water heater broke a few days before so they had to heat water in a electric tea pot for the pedis. I was only getting a mani so, it didn't matter to me what then she stopped doing my nails and told me someone else would finish them. Clearly they didn't have enough people working for the amount of appointments they were booking. I respect people's time so I get to appointment early...this shows they don't respect their customers time. read more

I was able to walk in for a last minute mani-pedi, from out of town. I got gel nails, and they have have survived assembling furniture, cleaning, and yard work, more than any manicure I've had before. It's growing out before it's chipping, which is new to me, with how hard I am on my nails. The environment was relaxing, and the staff was friendly. It was a little more expensive than I usually get, but the quality was a lot better. read more

Let me begin by saying there is no reason that a nail shop should ever accept appointments and when you arrive they have no clue about the appointment you made. That is my number one pet peeve with nail shops. Every time this happens I make sure to never go back. I waited 20 minutes to have my pedicure begin. The pedicure chair was uncomfortable to say the least. Once my pedicure was completed I moved on to the manicure nail technician for extensions and dipping powder. My appointment took a total two hours and 15 minutes. Luckily I was already done with work for the day so I did not need to be anywhere. After about a week the dipping powder for my manicure started to crack. I paid over $100 (tip included). Had to pay for parking because there was no free parking available near the shop. Luckily the people were nice because this place only deserves two stars. No go backs! read more

Well, I have been here to get my nails done for over a year! It has always been a great thick acrylic nail set with any design that I wanted! Very nice ladies would offer drinks. Received a basic manicure. Pros: served on time, responsive when requested a correction, and overall look of nails turned out ok. Cons: charged $30 instead of the listed $25, re-used supplies instead of fresh clean ones, not offered a fan to dry nails, "light massage" was about 10 seconds per hand. read more

I liked this place, but it was more hype than quality. The place is cute and decorated to make it seem much more high class. I enjoyed that you could get a drink here while you get a mani or pedi, but the price was a little high for the quality of pedicure. For this place, it's more about location than quality service. They do have on parking space dedicated to them, but it was taken in the garage when we came. It was fun place to try, but I like the place I go to back home a lot better. read more

First off, i really hate getting my nails done. Sitting for an hour and being man handled isn't my kind of fun. Anyways, my nails came out terrible. Very chunky and thick, not sexy at all. They had to redo them, and so i sat for another hour so they could file the nails down. She was only gonna do one hand at first, i know she knew they looked bad. Her next client was waiting, so although the shape was better, the polish came out rushed and messy. They didn't paint the tips or clean the paint. I wont be going back, and very sad i spent 100$ there and tipped $20 just to be unhappy. They look good from far but are far from good. read more

I have been coming here consistently for 7 months because they do a perfect job every time. They always match exactly what I want in a dip manicure if I show an example (I've done regular French, French black tips, ombres, etc). They have extreme attention to detail and don't skimp on materials or techniques - always take their time and use proper tools. Everyone here is so friendly and the pedicures are reasonably priced and relaxing. This is my go-to place and they have never given me a single reason not to come back or find another place. We went here before Covid and loved it. I think they must have a new owner or something because the quality and cleanliness has gone down hill. During mine and my moms pedicure the cut is pretty bad during the cuticle removing and tried to cover it up by wiping the blood and immediately dipping our open wound in hot wax. This was a treat before my wedding and my shoes didn't fit afterward my toe had swollen so bad. I asked for white tip dipped nails. They use a communal dipping powder and used it on someone else right after using it on me. They were uneven and bubbly. read more

Came here for a gel mani and regular pedicure while visiting from out of town. Called ahead to see if they had availability, and was happy to hear that they did, despite it being a weekend. The services were fine, the prices were reasonable, and the interior was cute. However, one of my gel nails had chipped three days later and two more started peeling off by day four. This is one of the shortest times I've ever seen a gel mani last. I'd go back to have it redone if I could, but I'm no longer in town. Super disappointed. read more

Poor service over priced. Horrible blue and experience. Over riced added $$$ for everything. Just know their 40 minute vegan pedicure is only 18 minutes also $15 for upgrade from reg polish to gelid $5 more than industry standard??? Will not be going back. If you want a drink with your pedicure fill up a to go coffee cup with your fav beverage and enjoy "your time" at a direct location read more

Super cute nail spot, and they have a bar! I've been twice now, got a pedicure and gel manicure. I had two different nail technicians and both did an amazing job! Also, the pedicure chairs are adorable and stylish and still give you a massage! Friendly and good at their jobs. They have different homemade hand and foot scrubs and masks (like margarita and mojito) that smell so good and make your hands/feet feel so soft! Also got a free delicious cookie with my drink, yum! Definitely recommend this adorable nail spot! read more

I asked for a shellac manicure on my natural nails. I did not get a manicure at all and she put tips and acrylic powder on me. I spent a month and a half letting my nails recover from the last acrylic set so I'm extremely upset. My pedicure was ok. My services were $125. I don't mind spending whatever they value their service to be but I do mind getting something I didn't want. Please listen to your guest's requests. read more

My first going to The City Nail Bar was amazing, I took my boyfriend and I for a self care day. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of both the manicure and pedicure. The salon is very cute and well decorated if it wasn't 10am I would have definitely gotten a drink from the bar. Dan the tech that did my manicure was very nice also as the women who did my boyfriend's pedicure but I did not get her name. Would definitely recommend! read more

Came in for a rebase. Place is nice but my service was terrible. I asked for a coffee shape and simple design. That is not what I got for most of my nails so my nails are super straight it looks like a diving board while my design is wonky at best. My nails are lumpy and uneven and I'm extremely unhappy. Not sure who my nail tech was but it wasn't the best experience she definitely ripped up a few nails by placing a nail underneath and it hurt quite a bit. Every visit they do a great job but this most recent was one of the best pedi's I've ever had. Unfortunately, we had a strange instance of nail polish just refusing to dry, even after going home and waiting a few hours, they weirdly would not dry. Which of course led to messed up polish so I reached out and they asked me to come back in the next day, little did I know that they are actually closed on Tuesday's but willingly opened to fix my polish - I hate that they had to do this but I can't say enough about that level of customer service. I came for a birthday set and we're done so well. Better than the picture reference. I go back to get a fill and show a reference. The lady just started painting my nails and not the way I wanted. So, I corrected her politely and she just completely rushed my entire appointment. Overcharged me for a mess that she did. I messaged them on a platform asking if I could get a color change, and nobody responded. Instead they looked at the message and didn't respond. The location is great, right near hand and stone, larimer square, and the 16th street mall. The nail bar itself is clean, staff are nice, and they have a good range of colors to choose from. I also think at $45 for a gel manicure, they're very reasonably priced, for downtown Denver. I will absolutely be back!

Typically, the service is decent but, despite making appointments in advance, if someone walks in just ahead of my scheduled time I'm forced to wait ~20-30 minutes regularly.

I showed up the next day at the agreed time and they were upset they had to take off my acrylic it took almost 2 hours and the quality wasn't that great. This owner is clearly unwell, who would do something like that. Tech did not spend 20-25 minutes. It was a 10 minute service. Even she said as I was checking out that I should just be billed for a polish change. The tech filed 2 nails for 30 seconds. I scheduled and came in for a polish change which they told me would take 10 minutes and it did. owner insisted afterwards that i pay for a mini manicure which i did not receive per the tech who confirmed verbally with the check out clerk. no massage. no filing and buffing. no lotion, no cutting of cuticles. $33 for a polish change seems excessive and greedy. make sure you get pricing up front from them. aesthetics and interior design very low end, looks cheap and sloppily put together. I tipped the tech $10 on venmo because I do not trust the owner to give the tip to the tech. When I asked them to call the owner back to confirm I was being charged for a service I didn't receive, the owner didn't pick up nor text her worker back. After waiting for 10 minutes I just paid so I could leave. Not a good way to run a business.

Every time they did it, the shape was not almond, the nails were not even in length, and all around, they could not get them right. The gel application was also poor quality, once it was so thick it looked like plastic and I had to push them to redo it for free, another time it started to peal after 3 days. When you pay a lot of money for a gel manicure, I expect a great outcome. I'm sure they have technicians who know what they are doing, but I want to come in, relax, and get a great manicure.

I was going to Lane for six months at Acronychous. No issues with nail designs as she's talented in…read morereplicating the designs I sent. My issue is with customer loyalty. During my time as a client I was asked by Lane to reschedule 3 of my appointments without explanation. All of which I accommodated by moving things on my schedule. On Sept 3rd, I received a text once again asking to change my appointment on Oct. 29th @ 4p to Oct 28th same time. While I said OK, I asked that this be the last reschedule as it was third time and honestly it was inconvenient - especially considering these appointmentsare booked months in advance so, I build my schedule around it. Fast forward to Oct 27 and I have chosen a design and as usual sent it to Lane via IG stating this was for our Wed Appt on the 29th since that was the time/date still on my calendar from their scheduler and I didn't think about the text two months ago. (To Note: Whenever an appointment was sent by them (even a change) it's updated in the Google calendar). She responded to my message saying " You Got It!". I'm always excited when getting my nails done and have a trip planned this week so, I was really looking forward to it. So, the next day (Tuesday), I receive a text from Lane at 3:52p saying "Hiiii! Just realizing your insta message said Wednesday and our appt is today at 4! Just confirming that I'll see you in a few ". Wait what? I was confused so, I sent her a screenshot of my calendar and email which had the appointment for Wed and was FROM the nail shop. Also, how do you just realize this 8 min prior to an appointment? She asked if I received an email with the new date and time to which I said no because if I had - it would have updated in my calendar. She then says she has no other 4p appts for the remainder of the week. I said " Fine, I guess I'll see you next month" as I was understandably disappointed. She then offered a time for next week to which I say " No thank you. Have a great weekend" because I have a meeting I can't move. Her response? "My policy does state that 100% of a service will be charged for last minute cancellation/no show....ill add that charge to your next appointment on Tuesday, November 25th at 2pm." Seriously? For her mistake/oversight, she wants to charge me basically double next time? Mind you I spend at LEAST $170 each visit not including the 20 - 25% tip I leave every time. Not only that - I've accommodated her requests THREE TIMES prior even though I had to move something. I have been consistent customer who at most has been 7 minutes late MAYBE twice and have always communicated and have been apologetic. I was so disappointed by the unprofessionalism that I canceled my remaining appointments for the year and will not be returning. Just goes to show that loyalty and flexibility doesn't mean much to some service providers.
