This review is very overdue! DC planned our entire trip to Italy for my sister's wedding in 2017. I was 100% stressed about planning a trip starting in Ravello and traveling through 3 major cities before flying home. Every single detail was taken care of including transportation from every airport, train station and hotel, private tours, hotels, and activities. The tour company that she uses is impeccable. We had a small hiccup with our private tour of the Vatican due to their holiday but the change in our tour time somehow made its way via email to our hotel in Ravello before we departed for Rome. I also have to add that DC had to work with our timeline and work around our first stop in Ravello for the wedding. I thought the price per person was very fair for our itinerary. DC showed us accommodations that were in our price range and a bit under and let us choose, without judgement. I stressed that location was key. DC is so responsive and insanely organized. I was nervous about all the transfers and tours and wondered how it could possibly all work out! It worked out at every point in our journey. I've always planned trips myself and it is fun when you have time to scour reviews and search out great vendors to work with. Now I can't ever imagine planning a trip on my own again! I was one of the lucky travelers who booked an all-inclusive trip with DC to Puerto Vallarta that took place early in October. From booking the trip, to handling payment, to the actual travel, the entire experience was top-notch & a total breeze! DC is a true professional who really knows her field - tropical travel is her expertise & she is at the top of her game. Since she travels everywhere she knows first hand what each property has to offer versus someone who is merely going off of what a website says about the property. I was pleasantly surprised when she hosted a meeting to go over our travel plans about a week prior to our departure. She handed each of us our travel itineraries & had flagged all of the important documents for our convenience, then went over how to pack just a carry-on for easier travel, what the regulations for bringing liquid items were (like lotions & shampoos) and how to fill out the immigration forms (she even had samples with what we should write on them!) I was very impressed. The trip itself was fantastic - we stayed at a brand new 5 star resort & were treated like royalty! We had a small hiccup when we arrived regarding our room accommodations, but DC handled it in a flash & we were upgraded to a $4,000 / night suite with a balcony overlooking the beach! I'd never used a travel agent before. Was scheduling a somewhat short notice off the cuff trip with siblings, me coming from the west coast, another couple from the east coast, and a final couple from Norway. The trip was only a couple months away instead of the usual 6 months that DC said she'd prefer, but she took on the challenge and said she'd do her best to help us out. And she did, and I was impressed. We initially wanted to go to Croatia and a specific island. Found out that DC was from that area and spoke the language. Within DAYS she'd attempted to set up a solid itinerary for us but was very open that some of what we wanted to do (visit a specific island my grandparents are from) would be difficult or impossible. Still, she tried incredibly hard and eventually said she'd done all she could, the weather just didn't permit the travel. Throughout the process, I found DC to be responsive, committed, informative, and transparent, as well as incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about traveling in Europe. We shifted destinations to Spain after considering a set of countries. That was a bit stressful, and having DC there to bounce ideas off of and consider options and places was immensely helpful. I never got the sense she had an agenda, even though she had fantastic advice and opinions. She wanted to make sure we had a good trip and one we wanted. But the timeframe was short, with less than two months left till departure by the time we settled on Spain. And then, I'm not kidding, within 24 hours (she said it might take her a couple of days) she had prepared an outstanding itinerary filled with wonderful cities and locations, travel all completely arranged, private tours of key sites in all the cities... it was amazing. I'd picked a travel agent because no one in the group wanted to arrange anything. Now, I'd pick DC again even if I had the time and desire to plan because she's an outstanding professional who is just way better at international travel than I am. We ended up needing to shift the itinerary due to some date and cost reasons, and again within hours it seemed I had a new itinerary appropriately scaled to meet my parties needs. Of course, that's all the planning, and while it was a great experience and I was already recommending DC to people I knew (anyone I know that wants to do a European or Caribbean vacation I send DC's info), what really matters is how did the trip go? The answer: it was fantastic. The private tours were something I was unsure about going in. They were exceptional. The hotels were great, the food, when arranged, was fantastic. There was space in the schedule to explore too, we weren't just running from event to event without any time to relax. I got to watch several futbol games while enjoying a beer in the evening, we had time to visit local shops and wander about some parks. And the quality of the tour guides was so high. Even the other tour guides were commenting that we had the best tour guides. Not only did I have a fantastic trip with family to a country I'd never been before, but I also learned a ton about Spanish history and spent time in Madrid, Sevilla, and Cordoba. All in a week, without feeling rushed, and with every move - whether it was plane, train, or automobile - being ready when we were. I highly recommend DC. She's a wonderful, warm, amazing, and gifted travel expert who will help take the hard work of logistics off of your plate and just let you enjoy the planning and the trip. Where do I even begin... DC was amazing in helping us choose the right place for our honeymoon and not only that but helped us stay within budget... From the day that I reached out to her she was extremely helpful.. She overnighted a few brochures and sent us a couple of pictures of the locations she had visited already. She made this so easy for us we booked right away. We just arrived from our honeymoon which was the week of 9/29/14 and stayed at El Dorado Seaside Suites near Cancun, Mexico. It was an all inclusive resort (adult only) and let me tell you, it was just amazing. We got the honeymoon package which gave us a free couples massage by the ocean and breakfast in bed and dinner by the sea plus other perks. DC knew what I wanted from the moment I spoke to her and explained that I wanted to feel spoiled and like we were truly on our honeymoon. She made it happen and was even nice enough to mail us very detailed travel documents. Trust me when I say "detailed"... From explaining and guiding us on how to fill out the mexican immigration card and alerting us as to who to avoid at the airport until reaching the person we were to provide with our transfer vouchers to reach our resort. The resort was beautiful and the staff was simply exceptional. They made us feel like royalty. We tipped them very well since they catered to our every need. Where do I begin ... I contacted DC to get a quote on a vacation I was planning to my best friends wedding over a year in advance. The wedding was in Chichester a quick train ride away from London. I told her what cities I wanted to visit and she got to giving me an itinerary very quickly. We went back and forth to get details squared away, she was super patient. I had never planned a trip like this and was worried that getting a travel agent to do it would cost me more money. Things went smoothly we had one glitch, a very small one where my credit card was charged a tiny fee for booking some part of the trip I think it was air fare. I had asked if an international fee was going to be charged I would rather use my credit card to avoid it. Since it did charge me she sent me a Starbucks gift card it was a nice touch. A few months before the trip my sister tells me how cheap the rooms were to book on her own and so I got nervous and called DC as there is no itemized amounts on the itinerary as it's a package deal. She said she likes happy customers and if I am not happy she would refund me the money. I was taken back by her comment and not pleased but I kept my plans. She did explain that booking with her I would be taken care of with private cards to pick us up and drop us off. I arrive to my first destination and am picked up in a Mercedes with a driver that is dressed very nicely. We did not wait at all and as soon as we were in the car the agency called to verify we were picked up. He took us to our first hotel which was a lovely place central to everything. I could not have done this myself. Our breakfast was included which was not for my sister who booked on her own and was not able to book some of the same hotels we booked. We went to Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, London and Chichester. She took the work right out and made everything a real vacation. I didn't have to worry about getting an uber or how much a taxi would cost when the next train would take us to the next destination .... It was PERFECT!!! I had to reach her a couple of times and although she was on vacation she responded and took care of things. DC gave us an experience and we also went with another couple who like us were impressed as they joined our itinerary and we were together the whole time. Can't wait to plan the next trip and we would most definitely call DC for our travel plans.
