Wow what a bad experience! I put down 1000 on a sectional and three twin bed frames. It came up to 2000 but with the down payment it left 1000 dollars. They did explain that it can be paid off in three months interest free, but you have to call the finance company. So OK my bad I didn't look at the contract fully at the time, but when I did OH MY GOD! 115% APR AND MY CREDIT SCORE IS ALMOST 800. So needless to say I looked for the finance company number that the man highlighted and of course it was the number to get a credit report. So I went down to talk to them and that didn't come out right. I told them I would not buy three beds but one the sectional was 895 the three beds was 339 without box spring and mattress. So I said I would give them what is owed on the one bed that was being used that they delivered (they only delivered two of the three beds and the sectional had to be delivered twice because they messed that up too) they charged me more. I would have to pay 500 or 485 for a twin frame! So I said I just want the sectional and they charged me 200 more! They won't give deals on their furniture if you buy a lot they say that they won't make any money off it, but charge you a arm, leg and three teeth when you don't want it. Man they have lost my business for real. Don't go there please don't or 115% and the other company they charge 185% APR. So I'm going to Ashley Furniture at 30% APR. I guess it's safe to say that the furniture business is thriving. There are half a dozen furniture places in Vallejo all within a 5 mile radius and I have been to them all. Cost Rite had the best deals with the best quality. Additionally, the sales people weren't circling us like vultures in Cost Rite like they were in other stores. Here's the scoop: My husband and I were in the market for a new sectional sofa after getting married. This was to be our first "new" piece of furniture (aka not a Craigslist buy.) We found an Ashley bonded leather espresso colored sectional that would seat 7-8 for $699! This was well within our budget. Other places for something comparable wanted closer to $1000, and many of them were not as large or as nice. Since it was such a good deal, we were also able to purchase a new dining room table! We settled on a 6 person "pub style" (raised) table top with 4 chairs and a bench seat for two. For both the sofa AND the table, we paid $1500! Because we bought both pieces, they waived the $40 delivery fee and delivered a few days later! (We looked at Jennifer Convertibles and they had a 3 - 4 month wait time for their sofas.) Two months later, the foot pole on the bench seat for the table became loose. I called Cost Rite and they sent someone out the next day to fix it since it was within the 90 days warranty. Overall this is a great place! They have a lot of inventory with competitive prices. However, the building is pretty ghetto and the small plaza that it is located in is a bit rundown, but that is just part of the Vallejo charm. read more

Wonderful experience from a charming staff. Very helpful without stalking your every move like other furniture stores. They let you look and take your time but are available whenever you need them. I bought an L shaped couch here and an ottoman to match for under $600.00 A great buy and I had seen the same couch at another furniture store in vallejo for around $900.00 (not including ottoman.) they also allow you to make payments on some items which is unlike most places I've been. Overall it is a quick, easy, and affordable place to shop while having beautiful and stylish selections to chose from. I would come back again and again. In retrospect, I should have gotten a resale license and bought wholesale, but I didn't know I would grow so big, so I purchased sofas and dining room suits slowly. I own 28 homes of furniture now, and at that level, you can imagine how important it is to have a supplier who's inventory I like and who I trust will give me a good price. Anyway, the folks at Costrite always give me a great deal and are professional and courteous. I highly recommend Costrite when shopping for furniture. I called the store at 12:30 to confirm & was told by a man identifying himself as "only a salesman", delivery was in route and would be here by 1pm. I took off work to be here for this delivery and am NOT paid when not at work. I called BACK to the store at 1:20pm and was told there was a "problem" with the truck that affected 5 other deliveries today & it would be rescheduled for tomorrow between 4 & 7. Cost Rite NEVER called me to inform me of any of this & if I hadn't called I'd STILL be waiting here. For nothing. NOT being paid. I asked if I could be compensated with a lamp, an artificial plant or something. I was told, "I'm only a salesman you'd have to talk to the owner." I was ready to give up on finding a reasonable price on furnitures. But my daughter saw costrite and was glad we did not buy our furniture some other place. Lisa was so wonderful and very helpful. I asked for the cheapest furnitures and she pointed out for $20 more I get a much better quality mattress set so I got two sets The sofa was also so cheap and so was our dining set at plus she got me good deal on the bed frames. What a complete waste of my time! I needed a recliner so their other store in Vallejo, who gave me great service, suggested I come here as they had none. The first guy asked what I wanted, I explained and he pointed to the back of the store, then walked away. I found my own way back to the recliners and saw a cashier finishing up with someone and some guy sitting in a recliner scrolling through his phone. I spent a good 5 minutes climbing all over the recliners trying to find out what I could without even an acknowledgement that I was there. Finally, the guy stands up and asks if I need help. By the way, none of these idiots were bothering with masks since they obviously couldn't care less for their customers. Well, I had enough and said, nope, not anymore. I was looking for a big 3-piece sectional for my new home in the Vallejo area and I went to a couple different furniture stores and I stopped at Cost Rite and found something that I liked finally! A 3-piece sectional with 4 recliners for $2000! It seemed perfect at the time (not even a week ago!) and I purchased it. I was very happy with it for the first 3 days!! BUT, on the 4th day one of the recliners literally just stopped closing. I.e.. It broke. In 4 days!! (Sitting like a normal person) so I called and told them, and they sent someone out here today to repair it. Turned out, they needed to take half of my couch with them and the guys who came don't even speak English! They couldn't even tell me what they we're doing or when I would see the other half of my couch again.. So.. I called the BOSS and I asked him what they we're doing and he said he would be taking the couch to fix it. I asked how long it would take and he didn't know, a couple days maybe he said. And i started to ask about the quality of the furniture that they spoke so highly of..and he started arguing that i must not be using the couch in the right way.. Umm I know I am sitting down correctly period. I'm not retarded and of course im going to treat my brand new $2000 couch like its a "brand new $2000 couch!" I thought about it and started to ask him about the warranty and that I may want my money back because if one part broke after 4 days.. Then who knows what's going to happen to the rest of the couch! And he started being very rude and said I can't get my money back after 4 days!? And that I only have store credit! I don't want any of their shitty furniture! then I told him I would like it back by the end of the day, its still early in the day and it shouldn't take that long and he started treating me with a lot of disrespect, I can't believe the customer service of this man. My husband and I went to Cost Rite looking for a bed and matress set, and I went there based on their five star rating on Yelp. I could not have been more disappointed. The store is filthy. Some of the mattresses we looked at actually had cobwebs on them. The salesman knew nothing about mattresses and could give us no information or guidance. Purchased a sectional living room couch and delivery was a breeze. Was extremely happy with my purchase for the first two weeks. Then for the highlight of this review. The third week of the purchase, with very delicate use of the furniture and very diligent care, you could already feel the springs eager to pop out any munite now. The stuffing in the cushions were stingy which results to noticeable deformity. We inquired for help from the store but it seems that they are not willing to make an effort to help you with your purchased item. You will really like these sales personnel when doing a purchase, you will not like them as much the moment you step out their door. I noticed a number of one star reviews here and decided to post this review as someone who had lived with their furniture for a while. I moved to American Canyon in 2010 and bought a bunch of furniture here including a sectional, couch, two coffee tables and two end tables. At a price I thought was too good to be true. It is now February 2015 and everything has held up remarkably well which also seems too good to be true. And I recommend the place to everyone -- and no one has come back to me with even one negative comment. The only negative is about the mattress prices. I bought a memory gel mattress online for far less than Cost Rite was selling for. But for sofas, loveseats, sectional, dining room sets etc, this is the place! read more

The initial service was good and the delivery was quick,but if somthing breaks everything Changes. I spent $2000 there and my bed broke within three months, I went to the store and they told me I needed my original receipt and I had to bring the bed in and then maybe they could fix it. I told them I bought it with a credit card you should be able to track it and they said we don't have a computer system. I got my records from my credit card company to prove that I paid for it but that wasn't good enough I had to have the original receipt from them. So buyer beware it may be cheap but The furniture is crap. I wouldn't shop here but if you do you better keep your original receipt.. This shop offers the best price and the most decent service - fast delivery (delivered next day) and nice salepeople! We got our table with some scratches, I called and asked them to come over to have a look after delivery, they arranged to come the next day and got me a new table immediately! My mother purchased 2 sets of brand new mattresses for my grandchildren. A few days later we noticed a few blood spots on the sheets. I changed the sheets again. I noticed bumps on my granddaughters face and body. We took her to Kaiser and they confirmed bug bites. We checked her sheets again which had more blood stains. We called Clark Pest control and they noticed that the bed she was sleeping in was infested with bed bugs and eggs. We also found out that Cost Rite sold my mom remanufactured mattresses instead of the brand new ones we originally purchased. We called Cost Rite Furniture and they agreed to pick up the beds and refund our money. We also talked to the manager to try to arrange for them to take care of the treatment that was needed to exterminate but he refused and tried to blame the problem on the residence. We had no problems until the beds arrived!!!! Bottom line is, don't buy any mattresses from them because they have bed bug infestation. ZERO STARS & beware !! read more

I went there on a recommendation of a friend who said they had great affordable prices. I was met by a nice lady who showed me several sofas and after finally deciding on one she convinced me to get an ottoman as well. I did the 90 day same as cash option and the items were delivered within 3 days. The delivery people were friendly, quick, and tidy. Couldn't have been happier with my selection, it fit perfect and is great! I was so impressed that I went back about a month later and purchased a trundle bed for my daughters bedroom. The quality was great/sturdy and it was nice. I paid cash this time and they were able to deliver it the next evening (even after I got off work which was great for me). They managed my 3 flights of stairs and set it up perfect. 1 small prob, the mattress for the lower bed wouldn't fit on it due to the height clearance and because of my plush carpet. The delivery people took that mattress back and I called the salesperson the next day who told me he'd give me a discount on a higher priced thinner mattress. He was very friendly and accommodating and I picked up the new mattress the next day, fits great!!! excellent customer service, great prices and a wonderful selection. My only problem now is deciding on what next to buy! I'd highly recommend going here, good service is hard to find these days but Cost Rite has it nailed. read more

We visited the store in Vallejo and wished to purchase a dresser for our bedroom. We found one we liked and went to pay for the dresser. The lady there at the counter was confirming a pick-up at the warehouse. and several minutes later she informed us the the marked price on the dresser was incorrect and was double the listed price. We requested that the store provide the dresser for the initial price but the lady would not drop the price and was not friendly. My suggestion is to shop at other stores for your furniture. read more

The place is very tacky-looking, but the staff who approached me were nice. I explained the type of dining room table I was looking for, and the sales girl explained she would have to order it ... no problem. I placed it on layaway, and recently returned to look for a high-end dining room chair for me. The owner was very nice, and he showed me another catalog that offered the type of chair I'm looking for ... a thrown-style chair with a 64" back (very elegant and expensive). Then another sales girl showed up, and he told me she has good taste. I have NEVER been treated so disrespectfully by a sales person. She told me I had a superior-type attitude if I wanted a throne, and it would be rude to treat my guest as if they are less than. I told her I like the chair/throne. Then she started putting me down by telling me I am judgmental. She continued to rant and rave about I have no sense of style. I was furious ... the owner heard her, and did absolutely NOTHING. was very disappointed! i bought a set from this store here in vallejo which was a complete bed set and a drawer that came with a mirror and a side table. it was delivered on the 15 of may. and i could not believe it! i found a small chunk of the drawers top layer was scratched off. they might have bumped it against something or my furniture might have been displayed in the display room. that day they delivered my furniture they were so busy that they left me a message saying they will be delivering it ealier because they had so many orders that day. and you wont believe what these delivery people did to the scratch!! they colored it with a black permanent mark just to cover it!!!!! the scratches were not that visible because my furniture was a dark espresso color so its not that noticeable but u can tell a chunk of scratch was there but when you look at it to the side you can really tell that they colored it with a permanent marker!! sad to say but that is so ghetto! what a very unsatisfied customer i am! very poor quality service as well as very poor quality product! i paid the whole amount that same day i ordered them! i do not deserve these furniture that i paid full! and all they would give me is furniture from the display room! i clearly asked the salesman that day if i'm going to be recieving a new furniture from their warehouse and not the one that was there on displayed and he answered me well! he said i will be recieving a new set of furniture! but what the f*** is this that they delivered to me!! if your planning to buy from them becarful! they might rip u off with the price and give you a furniture straight from their display room with many scratches on it and cover it with a black marker!!! before you let the delivery people leave i suggest you look at the furniture first!!! i was not able to look at my furniture after they assembled them because i was at work and my boyfriends parents were home to let them come in an assemble it in our room. i was so excited togo home that day they delivered it and right away i saw the scratches! they may think i'm stupid but i am not blind!!!!! i hope they arent doing this to their other customers!!!!! such a pity!!! read more
