My 1,150 review is one for the books! Life this summer has been super fun and impromptu. When I…read moretell you I manifested this life, I really did. I'm a firm believer in doing right by people, loving people with all that you got, being faithful and giving them the best version of you even if they don't return it. Because when you do, it all comes back to you. Maybe not in the form of that person, but it comes back ten fold! Let people choose their ego, their ways, and their own actions become their greatest regret. When you're pure, things ALWAYS work in your favor. I am super grateful to have found the most beautiful human ever six months ago! I don't know how long he will be in my life but I'm keeping him as long as I can! He's amazing! My girlfriends say I tell all the boys that they're beautiful but he really is. He is the bougie one between us. We stayed 4 nights 5 days here at the beautiful Dorado Beach Ritz Carlton Reserve. Let's talk about the Yelp glitch. I checked in everyday only to realize it was the wrong place so beware. There is Ritz Carlton on the app but it's not this one. I think Dorado Beach at the beginning of the name throws this off. Anyway, on to this beautiful resort. If you have 2k a night to spare (for a regular room) definitely book here. Yes, two thousand dollars a night is what this beautiful resort is going for and it's worth every single penny! The younger members of our group didn't appreciate this hotel but I did! There is only a select few who can afford this place and well, I love to network so this was perfection! We met so many other couples. The families complaint was it was for couples and old people. They wanted more action so if you have younger family traveling with you this may not be the place. Honeymoon, yes! Anniversary, yes! Girls trip, yes! Couples getaway, yes! ENGAGEMENT, YES! Room: There is so much to love about this resort, let's talk about the rooms. OMG! I can't express how magical it was! I've been to quite a few resorts at 5 star hotels this summer but I can tell you this place was a little more special because it's on the beach and the plunge in the room makes it perfect for night time! ROMANTIC! I'd say this is probably the best room but also the most expensive one we've stayed at this summer. He spares no cost when it comes to me and I feel like a princess! So if you want princess treatment, this is it! Spa: Elaine was wonderful, she was my masseuse. The SPA is UNMATCHED! It's huge and it's tranquillizing. If you're balling on a budget at the very least try this spa out if you cannot afford to stay here. You will NOT regret it! They have a tree house that you can get a massage at! I opted for a traditional room, still so calm and comfortable! It smells so good! Staff: Most staff were nice but I'd honestly say they could have been nicer. These people are spending money so complaints were coming. If you're going to charge 2k a night everything should be perfect! I could totally get why the employees might be the way some of them were. Food: There is limited options on sight, luckily there are tons of options outside of the resort. COA and Positivo were two available restaurants. View is amazing and food was great! We opted to dine out every night for dinner. The HIGHLIGHT, there is a Golf Course! You already know, we love Golf! Well, I am starting to love it! And they are adding another course! I loved how pretty it was and cannot wait to come back! Now this was a luxurious peaceful vacation. Thanking God everyday for unanswered prayers! Highly recommend betting on yourself..... and coming to this hotel! Talk about a FLEX! When people take advantage of you let them, Gods in control! Redirection is Gods Devine Protection! Yes! Yes! I DO!

This is a MUST in Puerto Rico.

We arrived around 8pm but Robert was extremely welcoming and accommodating. He gave us a full tour: there's a full sized kitchen, swimming pool, a beautiful garden, and tons of seating in the common areas. He also has kayaks, paddle boards, bikes, and snorkeling gear for his guests to borrow. In our private room we had a full sized bath, a queen bed, and an outdoor area with a hammock and view of the ocean. They keep the place in really great shape! The area felt very safe and the price was more than reasonable. Robert was so friendly to chat with and knowledgeable about the area. We had an amazing stay and would definitely come back.

Multiple places to sit outdoors, including a lovely gazebo. Views of the ocean from upstairs balcony. A very quiet neighborhood. A fabulous garden with walking paths. Bob and Nancy had lots of ideas of places to visit for other beaches and restaurants. There there is a supermarket 15 minutes away. They have approximately 11 unique units available to book. Simple bedrooms with private bath on up to elegant three bedroom units. I can't wait to come back. They even have kayaks, paddle boards, and all snorkel equipment for use. Can't say enough about. We reserved a table at the balcony right at sunset at 6pm. We arrived and promptly got thru the security and were taken to our table and it was the most gorgeous view ever. We ordered the signature drink, The Pirata, and it was delish, very strong , and came in a coconut. We then wanted to order dinner. But no server or employee of any kind came to our table for over an hour after we got our drinks. We waited and waited and when we decided to give up and go elsewhere then finally a server came. So we decided to order since it was about 7:15 and we figured it would take too long to go somewhere else and order. My bf ordered the lobster mofongo in some kind of soup and I got red snapper in a plantain crust. Then again we waited and waited. I was so hungry I started trying to pick the coconut pieces out of my Pirata drink. Finally at 8:11 our food was served, And we were starved. I was prepared to hate the food haha but it was actually so delicious. So I guess come here if you are not starved and have tons of time. And you will get a delicious meal w the most beautiful sunset view.

Part of its charm for us was that there were so few people there on the weekdays we visited and we felt that we had our own resort Pros: -AMAZING STAFF- each and every employee we encountered at copamarina was friendly and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we were having an excellent experience- it was honestly impressive. We were wowed. - beautiful pools and hot tubs that are truly taken care of and properly maintained- there is no gross cloudy water which we experienced at many other places - in addition to the pools the entire landscape was manicured and well cared for- more so then any other place we visited. They truly reinvest in their property -wonderful food- every meal we ate here was fantastic!! Their tuna tartar was my favorite! -clean rooms and ours emptied right onto the ground floor lawn from the back so we could be in the pool in minutes- other rooms were in buildings and we truly felt we had the best spot -kayaks available and bikes for short bike trips around the property - they are working on adding an even more beautiful welcome area and lounge. They are also working on building another building that is completely detached from everything else and nowhere near rooms. I see some people complaining about the "construction" but it absolutely did not affect our stay and there was zero construction noise. It seems crazy that someone would give them 1 star for doing a great job at improving this beautiful property while not affecting the guest experience in the least. CONS: - NO SWIMMING IN OCEAN- We didn't realize you could not swim in the ocean. The water is 2 inches deep for hundreds of feet out and if you wanted to swim you'd have to go out to the dock but we don't recommend it because we saw hundreds of jelly fish. We enjoyed the pools so much that this wasn't a huge deal for us but we were disappointed for sure -Ridiculously expensive spa. I had the most expensive massage I've ever had even though it started late and was ended early. Gratuity is built in...but then they still ask you to tip on the screen so beware -you have no other option but to eat here unless you want to drive far out- it's kind of in the middle of nowhere. Meals are very expensive. Expect to pay $140 for dinner for two and know that the more casual restaurant is closed when the "fancy" restaurant is open which limits options further -they make you pay for kayak rentals which felt yuck since they are already charging a resort fee and you can't even swim in the water so most people rent the kayaks for something to do. $35 an hour? Felt crazy. Also do not attempt to kayak to Gilligans island if it's even a tiny bit windy. The kid working the kayaks told us it was fine and we felt we were lucky to come back alive as we were tossed around in the waves.

Although the drive here was treacherous to say the least, it was worth it because our room was clean, there were many fun things to do during the day, and the food at the restaurants in the resort was okay, (except for the birds constantly attacking you). HOWEVER there are some cons (notice the 4 stars instead of 5): The pools are so hot they feel like your going into a giant hot tub and they aren't refreshing at all, the ac machine was set to 63 degrees (we couldn't change it) and you'd better believe That it was freezing. Overall a nice place to relax and stay even with the minimal (yet noticeable) issues.

As we made our way around the island, we needed a single night stay on 1/3/19 and Nichole C found this place. Although I had my doubts (especially based on how it looks from the outside), it turned out to be sort of charming. Upon checking in, we were given a sealed plastic pouch with a TV remote control and our room key--an actual, honest to goodness metal KEY attached to a cute painted wooden turtle! The front desk even has those retro cubbies for mail and packages, something you never see these days. Our room was quaint, a far cry from the Hyatt Regency's and Embassy Suites of the world. The bathroom was small and the water pressure in the shower wasn't great, plus the ceiling tiles were pretty beat up. No bugs though (thank god). Don't bother asking for the Wi-Fi password.....there isn't one. In fact, there was no internet connection *at all* in our room, nor in the common areas. Parador Villa Parguera is located in Lajas, a fairly remote part of the island that will really test your phone's 4G LTE coverage. There was a pool, in addition to a courtyard area with a waterfall and some very nice landscaping. My girl joked that it'd be perfect for weddings, I told her "mmmmm, we could do better". PVP has their own restaurant and backs right up to the waterfront. The motel seemed to have some pretty strict rules regarding check out: they'll charge you $25 if you don't check out by 11am, and after 12pm the cost turns into an entire night's stay! Don't forget to return the remote control, or they'll ding you a separate $25 fee. * TL;DR * I would advise setting multiple wake-up alarms and NOT missing the 11am check-out time, otherwise you could be in for an unpleasant surprise. The beds are comfy enough and the motel is close to the downtown area. Pool seemed nice. If you can survive without hi-speed internet connections for a night or two, then I'd have no problem recommending Parador Villa Parguera.

Although he'd reserved a studio, when we arrived, we found we had been upgraded to a one-bedroom unit, as the studio's door was being repaired. Late check in was very easy. The property's deck is large and has a gorgeous view of the beach directly below. You really cannot beat the location of Villa Tropical on Shacks. We enjoyed drinking our coffee on the deck whilst watching the sun rise in the mornings before grabbing our gear and walking down the short flight of steps to the sand. The gift shop within the office is a major time saver, too, when you need a drink or snack but don't want to drive. The Econo supermarket is only about an 8-minute drive away, though, when you do want to do a grocery run. It was awesome having a fully stocked kitchen and being able to cook and eat in most meals. We loved grilling on the deck at sunset! The Ola Lola restaurant is a cute spot a short walk away for food or drinks when one would rather skip cooking, too, and in each room, there is a very thorough guide compiled by the management with information on where to find all kinds of things in the area, from film development to entertainment. It was extremely convenient to be able to do laundry on the premises also. The staff are super helpful and maintain VT very well. Our unit (1B) was clean and comfortable, and by the end of our stay, we had fallen into a nice, homey routine. I was sad to leave and understand why Shacks is a place so many return to every year. The beach is clean, the big waves break far from the shore, there are interesting reefs for snorkeling, many days have adequate wind for kitesurfing, and there is a friendly surfer community among those who stay in the area both longer term and seasonally.

True to the name, there are hammocks everywhere, including one outside each room's entrance. Awesome pool area with a waterfall and tons of cute seating. And even though Puerto Rico as a whole never fails to delight me (a Minnesotan) with the kindness of the people, the staff of La Jamaca were endlessly thoughtful, friendly, and professional beyond my expectations. The food didn't impress me. I did actually like having breakfast each morning; the eggs, french toast, and coffee were all good. But the dinner entrees we tried were big on quantity, not so big on quality. And pretty high-priced as well. We had taco dinners and a mofongo - the latter was pretty good but quite salty, and the tacos were lacking in flavor. Also can't recommend the avocado toast. One more thing: the shower took 5+ minutes to get above room temperature, and infinity minutes to reach a temperature that could be reasonably described as "hot". But other than that, solid hotel. Clean place, comfortable beds, gated parking area, and again VERY nice staff. I sincerely hope I have a chance to return!
