We checked into Costa Hollywood Beach Resort on July 31, 2026, around 10:00 p.m. The room was under my girlfriend's name as a birthday gift from her cousin. Check-in was smooth, we received our keys, signed the paperwork, and settled into our room. On August 1, around 2:35 p.m., while we were asleep, someone unlocked and opened our room door without knocking. I immediately said, "Someone is in here," and the person quickly left. At first, I thought it might have been housekeeping, but when I checked the hallway there was no one and no housekeeping cart nearby. A few minutes later, I noticed a housekeeping cart farther down the hall, leaving us confused about what had just happened. As I was getting ready to ask management to review the security cameras, a hotel employee and a security guard came to our room and told us we had to come downstairs immediately to pay a check-in fee and sign paperwork, even though we had already done both the night before. My girlfriend was in the shower and asked for a few minutes to get dressed, but we were still rushed downstairs, making us feel like we had done something wrong. Once downstairs, the staff realized they had mistakenly assigned our occupied room to another guest because they believed our reservation had been canceled. That meant someone else had been given a working key to our room while we were sleeping. After everything was resolved, my girlfriend received a bottle of champagne and a "Thanks for being so cool about this." While we appreciated the gesture, she was understandably shaken. This happened during her birthday stay, and we felt a sincere apology and a more meaningful effort to make things right were warranted. Thankfully, no one was hurt and nothing was missing, but someone had access to our room while we were asleep. I hope Costa Hollywood Beach Resort reviews its procedures so this never happens to another guest. For hotel management, the room was N424 and the reservation was under Delsalto. I just recently stayed there over a month.I checked out of this resort, August 15th. I had a reservation that ended this past Saturday. I thought I made a new reservation starting Saturday August 15th to Sunday but on friday morning , I spoke to mari at the front desk and she informed me that my new reservation started on Friday instead of Saturday, and I was already in a room. I spoke to customer service online, they spoke to Mari and I requested to have the date changed.I didn't hear back from anyone so I called the front desk and spoke to Breon, I also called customer service online and while I was on the phone with them Breon assured me that Miguel would get back to me. Miguel never called me back and I lost over two hundred dollars for a room I never checked in to because Carlos from reservation refused to change my reservation date. The way I was treated regardless of the fact that I'm a loyal customer left me feeling like they don't value me as a customer. I spent a lot of money at this resort over the years and have sent them a lot of customers that didn't even know this place existed. That's why I called it my hidden gem, but it's not hidden anymore because recently it started getting somewhat ghetto with the cops being called two weeks ago on a Saturday,and people yelling profanity from the balcony. I was mistreated several times by Elena from management. You never know what kind of mood she will be in. She went out of her way to be nice 2x the last time was after I did the expedia review.I really do think it was personal. I lost my money for a room I never checked into but they lost a loyal customer,because I will never be back and I will never tell anyone else about what used to my hidden gem. Costa Hollywood was the homebase during Labor Day weekend staycation). It's located right on the beach & broadwalk and almost right off the bridge from the Hollywood Boulevard exit of I95. For starters, the lobby is beautiful, well lit and a great scent / air freshener. The front desk staff was really helpful in accommodating our late checkin, as well as informing us about the opportunity to get an extended amenity pass to enjoy their pool area after checking out in the morning. (There was no late checkout available during our stay.) During the reservation process before our stay, it sometimes took awhile and multiple phone calls to get a hold of the reservations department but they were helpful in squaring away and adjusting some details. Our suite was huge! We were fortunate to have a suite on the 6th floor, the highest residential level. The master suite bed was king size and really comfortable. The master bath had both a bathtub & huge shower. Closet space was also really generous. Our suite also had a wraparound balcony from the bedroom to the living room & dining area. As far as amenities, Saturday we were able to enjoy the 7th floor pool deck before the weekend rains began. There's a nice amount of pool chairs available and the pool looked really clean. Other than drinks poolside, we didn't eat there, but they do have a restaurant on the 7th floor open for lunch & dinner. A couple of areas could use some improvement, and why I am dinging a star. Besides the issue with the front desk & reservation staff answering the phone, service at the pool bar was a little slow in the sense. The pineapple rum drink I had could have used a little more alcohol; it tasted almost like a virgin pina colada. They also have to be paid on the spot and not charged to my room since it is supposedly a separate "account". Oh and don't party too loud because Big Brother is watching; they have a "noise detector" in the room so who knows what else they listen in on. While I understand the need for safety, it is a little unnerving that they may be listening in. Still and all, we do plan to keep Costa Hollywood Hotel in future staycation plans. read more

The first time we went during Christmas it was great so we came back during our Easter break and it was a disaster. We had called weeks before we arrived and asked to be near my parents room which we booked with ours they assured us yes yes yes we called 3 days before and everything was good to go. We arrived and they put us in a different BUILDING and the front desk guy with the worst attitude basically told me to deal with it. He then wanted to charge us $25 a night per kid because he said "the room is for 2 people" we booked a 2 bedroom - how in the world is that possible. The balcony was covered in black mold the curtains and light fixtures had a layer of dust on them and house keeping (if they came) would leave their trash bags and gloves everywhere. I have severe dust allergies and was up all night with my eyes and throat itching, sneezing the whole bit, so we asked them to vacuum the dust off the light fixtures that was hanging over the bed several times and they said it was too tricky and never cleaned it so I slept on the pull out in the living room. The pool was filled with spring breakers literally launching grown men into the air in a pool filled with children and the security guys all spend the entire time looking at their phones I'm not entirely sure what they do except yell at you for towels on your balcony. I don't see myself returning here. It's owned by private equity and it shows. read more

We have been repeat guests at Costa Hotel and stayed here two years ago over Fourth of July weekend, when we were very impressed with our experience. Unfortunately, our recent stay was a complete disappointment. Upon arrival, Antonio at the front desk informed us we had been upgraded to a room with a balcony. However, when we entered the room, we found no proper bed--only what appeared to be half a mattress placed on plywood boards. This made sleeping impossible and caused great discomfort. We immediately returned to the front desk to resolve the issue, but were told no manager was available until 1 PM. Despite requesting to speak with management, we were only able to communicate through a front desk employee. When we explained the situation and how the room did not match the quality or appearance advertised online, we were advised to contact the third-party we booked through. This response is unacceptable since the hotel is responsible for the quality and condition of its rooms. The pool area had many people throwing balls and you were constantly getting hit in the face. The pool area was complete chaos. In all fairness, the only enjoyable thing was the bar upstairs. This experience severely impacted our wedding anniversary celebration. We were especially disappointed by the lack of effort from the manager, Elena, to offer any remedy or compensation. Given these issues, we will not be returning to Costa Hotel. This place was all right. The people working there were nice, but the street was flooded every day we were there so our car had to drive through a foot or more of water to get to where you could bring your car to the valet (they don't let you park on your own). They give you a coupon for a free scoop of gelato at the gelato place that is connected to the hotel but on the outside corner. That's nice, but it's only for alcoholic gelato per the woman working there. My kids (9&11) and myself don't drink alcohol so it was basically nothing for us. The suite was big and had high ceilings. The couch was kind of hard for the kids, but not too bad. We did like being walking distance from the beach and there was a great Italian restaurant on the beach nearby. read more

Really enjoyed our stay at Costa! We chose to book through AirBnb vs the Hotel because we liked the more colorful units - It was slightly cheaper, and worth it for the better unit with a balcony The unit was very clean, and mostly well-appointed. I would say it is the right size for 4 people - 6 would be pushing it as there is only seating for 2-4 in the living room. A few arm chairs would help a lot! The master bedroom was comfortable, but the blinds were hard to operate and the room gets very warm compared to the rest of the unit. The second 'bedroom' is really a den, and there is not a closet or place to put luggage . We have two teens who do not share a bedroom, so we planned to use the pullout sofa. The sofa was very comfortable, but there were no sheets, pillows or blankets. On arrival, we only had 2 towels and 1 washcloth in the unit - getting sheets, blankets, pillows, towels and washcloths took multiple visits over two days due to communications issues between the hotel and airbnb. Pros: Location: Walking area, with easy access to the beach, boardwalk, and numerous dining and entertainment options. Amenities: The resort has a rooftop pool with ocean views, hot tup, a rooftop bar/restaurant, activities, and a well-equipped fitness center. Cons: Service Quality: Inconsistent service, particularly concerning housekeeping and front desk interactions. Parking Fees: We did NOT park a car, but it was very PRICEY. Stayed at Costa Resort over Labor Day weekend. The resort itself is beautiful and in a perfect location, just steps from the ocean. However, I booked my reservation thinking I would be staying in the hotel side, but instead was placed in an owners apartment the building next door. The up keep of the room was not at the same standard I expected from the resort, which was disappointing. Clear communication during booking and better maintenance of the owner units would make the experience much more enjoyable , because the resort and location truly are wonderful. read more

We stayed at Costa for July 4th weekend and also threw a bday party for my 4 year old. It was like a fairy tale. I was able to watch the fireworks from my room. The next day I woke and walked over to the party area where everything was already set up. The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to make this the most magical birthday party we have ever seen. Elena the manager made sure everything was perfect. Her team Sunai, Irina, Yessica, and Paola had everything set up and ready from start to finish. I'm pregnant and pretty much useless so having these ladies handle everything for me was truly a godsend. The party guests were all mesmerized by the event. I love this resort so much and highly recommend it as a hotel and as a party venue. read more

Costa Hollywood is located at 777 N Ocean drive in Hollywood Florida. I've been staying here for 4 years now every February. We book through Airbnb every year but you can also book through the actual hotel. There is paid valet and self parking however we just buy a month long pass to street park through the city of Hollywood and it's a lot cheaper. $120 for a month which is cheaper than a week of parking on property. This place is truly amazing. The location is perfect, a short walk from the sand and ocean and right across from the inter coastal waterway. There is a Broadwalk (not boardwalk but same thing) with a lot of bars and restaurants on the sand and you can't beat it. We used to travel to Fort Lauderdale but this is way better. Everything you need is a short walk. Liquor store, market, restaurants, bars, everything you need to make a great vacation. The Costa is always super clean and the staff has always been great to us. There is a resort fee but that includes beach towels and beach chairs everyday, it's worth it to not have to get your own chairs at sams club or Costco. Costa also has a rooftop pool and sunset club bar with a happy hour; that is new for this year, the happy hour. Overall, this is the best place we have found in south Florida to vacation. All the amenities and a kitchen in the room is perfect. It's like a mini condo overlooking the beach read more

The good: I liked the gym, and the location is 2 small blocks south of Margaritaville (which is the best hotel on the beach$$$$) I liked the elevator and all doors electronic access with room key. The condo was nice (except crap furniture) but the space was big. We had a 2/2 ocean front (maybe get 5th or 6th floor to see over the buildings best). Large patio, bedrooms, bathrooms, nice kitchen.The parking garage was there/ valet only. Walk 1 small block to beach and rent umbrellas for $20 /chairs come with room. Theres a towel area in the hotel to get and return towels. BAD: The parking fee is confusing. It's $42 a day (fine) but then they charge you at the end a $45 valet fee.? So those guys are making a killing because we tipped Every-time too. Oh well Also the rooftop pool temperature in June was soooooo hot that I did not get in wayyyy too hot, they should get blocks of ice I've seen other hotels do - also foggy water- prob from sunscreen and sand- needs to be cleaned more often!!! read the reviews!!! this place is a money grab. it is in an awesome area with great eateries...but...oh boy, the but(t)!!! the first thing we saw when we entered the room was an out of order sign on the dish washer! the sign appeared to have been there for a while. next was the god awful sofa. absolutely disgusting! it was sagging like a gangster! how does leather look so filthy?? next, the drapes in our bedroom and were ripped across the center horizontally. it look as if someone did a piss poor job of sewing the curtain. upon further review it was hastily taped! the cleaning also seemed hasty and there was sand on the floor. the shower floor was disgusting! mold black and brown! the toilet seat slid from side to side and became backed-up with the #2. it took them over an hour to come to the room. all of the bathroom towels looked different. sort of like people brought extra white towels from different homes. the air conditioning went out twice. each time a so called technician came to our room and sprayed some horrible spray and vacuumed the vents which was such a great experience! smh! the manager alanna was of no help. she tried to act as if she was surprised regarding the circumstances, but it was obvious she was not. there was no offer to compensate. we did not ask because we should not have had to ask. so much for quality customer service. i have photos and video to back my remarks. i will post them to trip advisor, yelp and chc website! stay safe and clean out there!! read more

We booked our stay through Delta vacations for 2 2 bedroom balcony rooms with full kitchens. We arrived very early for check in, we had just gotten off a cruise. Polina greeted us like we were old friends. We loved her energy and her welcome glasses of Prosecco. She gave us keys to access all the amenities that the hotel had to offer and a wonderful suggestion for a late breakfast while we waited for our rooms to be ready. Rooms were ready before 2:00 and we were very happy with the location. Photos show room 409. Beds were a little low to the ground for us old folks with bad knees but they were comfortable. When sleep we prefer a top sheet, light blanket then a comforter. The beds were made with a sheet and very light blanket. No biggie but something else would have been nice. We checked out the next morning for our flight and smiling Polina met us again for checkout. Overall I would stay here again. The beach was nice, close to restaurants and a nice coffee shop. This review is strictly for the 7th floor. I used to love coming here to hang at the pool and order from Sunset Lounge. Recently - I guess they have only started allowing hotel guests to use the pool but you can still sit on the lounge side. I hadn't been here in months after learning the pool was undergoing renovations (on a holiday weekend at that) so I decided to pop in and wasn't aware of the restriction. Everything is running smoothly until I sit at a lounge chair - they now have security to come around and tell people that they cannot be at the pool (which is very open) without being a guest. Worse experience ever! Valet is charging double for use of handicap parking. Pool is being resurfaced and pool area by bar is being painted while open. It's 4th of July so all we wanted was to hang by the roof top pool, enjoy drinks and watch fireworks. The is NO Manager on duty for today. Which is crazy cause it's 4th of July. Not even an appointed person. So the 2 front desk clerks are beyond frustrated cause they don't know what to do or know how to handle the chaos at this hotel. Front desk person hung up on me cause she has no solution and told me that the manager won't be calling and is. It available until tomorrow. The only hope we have to get this resolved is the roof top manager that is not affiliated with the hotel property issues. Very beautiful and spacious rooms with a nice view of the beach. Rated 3 star because even if you book thru a site like Expedia, you aren't made aware of the extra fees. They force you to have valet parking which is about $42 a night. Plus a resort fee... which I'm still not sure what that is even for. Aside from paying for the hotel room itself, I paid $600 in fees for the week we stayed there. They let you rent two free beach chairs for the beach but if you want an umbrella, which you NEED for the Florida sun, they charge an extra $20. I loved the rooftop swimming pool but was not a fan of their food and overpriced drinks. Staff was friendly! Would I recommend visiting here? Only for the beautiful rooms but as far as benefits and perks, ehhhhh no. read more

The hotel pool area was great and the location and proximity to the beach were also great. The hotel room needed some maintenance and a better deep cleaning. The bed was comfortable and the view from the balcony was nice. The biggest complaint was the inconvenience of having to leave our building to return and get new pool towels. This hotel has a great location and a great rooftop area with a large pool, hot tub and restaurant/bar. The rooms are spacious and I thought the bed was really comfortable. The problem with this hotel is the walls are paper thin. I don't know if every room has connecting doors between it, but my room did and I could hear literally every word, cough, fart, and TV show in the rooms on either side of me. Sleep was really difficult because of that. Unless you are a very heavy sleeper, or get lucky and have no one beside you, sleep may be elusive. Two other disappointing things... no one answers the phone if you hit the guest services button and the hallways don't appear to be vacuumed. The rooftop pool and bar was the only good thing about this hotel. There were several hidden fees that we were not told about and they continually charged our card for services we didn't use or charged prices on the card without us knowing or telling us. When we brought it up they wouldn't refund any of the charges on the card. The cart service was horrible. The first time we asked for it they never showed up and the second time they showed up 15 minutes later then they said and brought our stuff down the the valet parking area and left it unattended until we came down. The reservation was valid but since we booked through AirBnb it doesn't kick in until 4pm, information that would've been handy before wasting our time. Pool was closed for 4th of July. Handicap & Stroller Lift broken, stairs only to get into lobby, literally saw a man in a wheelchair that had to wait over 25 minutes to be carried down. No Bellman Service but they charge a Package & Resort Fee which are steep. We paid $309 for just the valet, service & resort fees cause we paid Airbnb directly for the stay. Ridiculous... Do not waste your hard earned money on this place. This company is out of control. We had to cancel last minute because my 1-1/2 year old came down with Covid, RSV, pneumonia and an ear infection deeming him not able to fly in an airplane. The company said they would refund our almost $900 bill but it would cost us $450 to do so. In hopes to get reimbursed from my travel insurance AIG, they also went against their policy and did not refund us the money nor pay us back the $40 for coverage. These giant companies are scam artists. BEWARE!!!!! It's sad that hard working middle class Americans cannot afford to take trips nor risks for this reason. I've had it! Our experience started out on the wrong foot. When we arrived we were given the wrong room. We had paid for a one bedroom queen suite with balcony and water views but was given a one bedroom without balcony and facing across the narrow street to another building looking directly into our windows. A very nice women tried to get us another unit but that one looked out on the parking lot. After what seemed like miles of hallway we were shown an "upgrade". It was a large two-bedroom two bath unit with water views and balcony, so far so good. We accepted it because at this point, we were exhausted but soon realized the unit was in awful shape, scuffed walls, not a lamp or chair in the place except dining room chairs. The beds were comfortable and linens were clean but faux leather couch cushions fall off when you sit on them. The other furniture such as end tables etc are so scuffed and scratched that they should be thrown in the garbage. Don't believe the photos on the web site, this place looks nothing like the photos. In addition they charge $44 dollars for valet parking. After two days of a four-day trip they refused to refund our money. If you are thinking of stay here, I'd think again. read more

Location. Location. Location. The biggest plus to this stay was the one block walk to the beach. You literally can't beat without being on the beach in a resort. This was overall a good stay. The check in was nice and quick even though I had booked last minute with hotel tonight. The hostess mentioned they almost cancelled my booking which would had been a bad way to start since I had flown from Indy that day. The lobby was very clean and the staff helpful and courteous. Very clean ground and room as well. I booked very last minute and didn't realize it was more of a resort with an oven, dining room and refrigerator in the room. Lots of room. I didn't know how to turn the stove on, then again didn't need it. Barely use the fridge. But the room was very clean and modern. The living room couch let's to a bed, it's not super comfortable but useful. The balcony was a added bonus. It spanned the living room to the bedroom, great for evening breeze and hanging out. I even was able to sit on it during a brief evening rain. Very spacious bathroom with a huge soaker tub and walk-in shower. Now that I've given all the gray things I'll give the meh parts. The hotel/resort doesn't change sheets or towels daily. I had to ask for hand towels (which they never brought) and had to call multiple times to get additional towels. The rooftop was giving amazing views and tons of party seating was less attractive with the bar being closed. We hopped in the hot tub, then the pool for maybe 20 minutes abs were out. The hotel store (Tito's Market) only has employees that do not speak english. Every single employee. Usually it takes them 15 mins to make chicken nuggets, which they torch in the air fryer. I asked them to leave them in for 10 but not one of them understand a words of english so I still got burned nuggets. Another day an employee lied to me and told me it would take 45 mins (in broken english ofc) to make nuggets simply because she didn't feel like making them. Never tip these people. My wife and I booked reservation with our kids for a five day stay well in advance and upon check in here was our experience. The valet staff was rude and demanding. There was no help in unloading luggage. Upon checking in we were told there are no pools open. In 90 degree plus weather.No pool. The pools were part of amenities when we booked but we never received any advanced notification to see if we wanted to cancel . After speaking to one of staff members. The pools have been down for over three weeks without any notification. We were promised a full refund from the manager Elena for the in connivence even though it says booking is not refundable. It forced us to try to find another hotel To accommodate my family on such short notice and payed double on what we wanted to spend. Still have not seen a refund. Website very deceiving. read more

Beautiful hotel, finishes are amazing and the look is so modern and fresh. It's almost like a beautiful girl, they may look beautiful but when you start to ask questions and get to know them you wish you didn't. The hotel staff (for the two that I saw) were trying really hard to manage. ONE person doing valet on Valentine's Day weekend and a line wrapped around the building wasn't a good first impression. Next we walked inside to check in, only to find ONE young girl behind the counter and a LONG LINE of people waiting to do the same. Thankfully we were upgraded to a one bedroom suite that was immaculate! Beware of the elevator system, we were not informed that you need to swipe your room key in each a elevator to travel up and down. Check out was easy as they had a virtual assistant Ivy who you could check out simply by texting your room number and email. I can see how that may be troubling for the older, not to techy elders. Complimentary breakfast on the roof was another story. Choose from two- bagel and coffee or croissant and juice....but we're out of croissants. We ordered bagels and wanted to order additionally from the menu. Ordered a sausage, pepper and onion omelette as the other two items they didn't have. Waitress came out to inform us they were also out of sausage. $16 omelette comes out with out home fries and toast....because they were out of that too. A friend recommended this hotel to us and it did not disappoint! Every single staff member we encounter was so nice and helpful... UNTIL we had to check out. On July 20th at 10:45am there was a lady with braids and a teal flower shirt at the check in desk. I made the line to check out while my fiancé grabbed the car from valet. When the folks in front of me were done, I went ahead and approached said lady at the desk and she rudely said to me "they're next" referring to a couple who were making the line to be helped with a different staff member. I said "I'm so sorry I didn't realize!". Now I work in customer service and hospitality and if I would talk to any of my clients with that condescending tone I would be reported to a manager immediately. I went to make the line with a different staff member and looked down at my phone because quiet frankly, I was embarrassed and a little mad. Once the folks were done talking to her, another lady made the line to talk to her, now in the front desk lady's mentality she should have said "she's next" correct? Nope, she completely ignored me until my fiancé came back and she called HIM over. I asked him to speak to her because as I said, I was pretty pissed. She giggled and look at me like I was out of this world. Anyway, I was really surprised at the reviews talking about rude staff but they were all probably referring to this woman.
