We've been wanting to check this place out, it's fairly new and opened a few months ago. Kind of like a Chipotle where you pick bowl or burrito, pick your protein and add toppings. First thing that sets them apart are the fresh hand made tortillas. They have a spinning flat grill and they press out the tortillas and cook them right in front of you. The place was very clean, the people behind the counter were very nice and the food had great flavor. We ordered the sweet pork burrito and chips & queso. First off the fillings in the burrito were not super hot but the flavor was good. The pork was a little sweet for me but it does say "sweet pork". I think the ingredients held on the line need to be at a higher temperature but enjoyed the flavor of everything. read more

Tried this place for the first time. The restaurant is light and airy. It's very clean which is so appreciated in establishments like this. Not one dirty table. The staff is very friendly. The food is good. The mango salsa was great on the honey shrimp salad I had. The only complaint I have is that for a large salad when getting the honey shrimp you only get 8 shrimp and 4 shrimp for a small but it's still the same price at an extra charge. One that's weird and two that's not very many shrimp either way. Will I go back? Maybe. I definitely liked it better than chipotle. Saw them across town and had curiosity. Found out they were building one on our side and there was a grand opening event, figured why not. $5 burritos! Formerly Del Taco, it's way cuter inside now and we were promptly greeted despite a line. Outside a local station had giveaways and inside they had a wheel to spin. I won swag and went nuts, lady won an entrée. Never having been, it's like chipotle style. Pic the entree, protein and down the line you go. Donnie helped us and he was amazingly sweet. Said it's his first restaurant job but he had the knowledge of their products down so it was impossible to know he was new wo him telling me. He's got an artistic vibe to him and that's also what he does. We did the $5 sweet pork burritos and an order of nachos. I asked to try a couple sauces and Donnie gave me the next two levels up after mild. The next one was sweet and that's not my thing, and the other one was ok but ultimately mild is flavor w no repercussions. We did refried beans on the burritos and pinto on the steak nachos. The steak is phenomenal. Not too well, flavorful and tender. I'm honestly still deciding how I feel about the sweet pork. After your cheese gets melted you can add salsa or guac on the other side and order your drinks. Cristina helped us and she was kind with a big smile. Lance rang us up, also super kind and full of smiles. We chose to sit down and try things while hot. Lina came over and asked how everything was and if we needed any trash removed. Amazing! I downloaded the app so I have a $5 reward. I don't think I'm a sweet pork person but I like the steak and would be open to other proteins. The pico is good as is the mild green sauce. One of my favorite quick and healthy meal place. I love their yummy quesadillas and big burritos, also one of the things I like about this place ,is that all the ingredients are freshly prepared and served in front of you and you can customize your order in any way you want. Everything they serve is fresh , made from scratch daily . Love that they make fresh tortillas every day. This is definitely our go-to for Mexican-American food with healthy options. I had a chili lime chicken burrito filled with chicken, black beans, rice and covered in melted cheese with pico de gallo on the side. I also decided to try a dessert so I ordered a key lime pie and to drink I believe I had a lime agua fresca. This is a fairly new place and it seemed very clean inside. I ordered food to go and everyone helping me was very friendly. The place reminded me of Chipotle in that they make your tacos or burritos to your order and you go along a line to put different things in your burrito or taco. The burrito was pretty good. I took it home and ate it and it wasn't bad. I probably would get spicier sauces to go with it next time. The key lime pie was very good. The gentleman who ran around behind the counter to prepare and package it looked like he was going to a lot of trouble to put it together and his effort was appreciated. We got coupons in the mail so we went in for the BOGO deal. I got chicken enchiladas with green sauce and my fiancée got a Baja bowl. The food looked good but I was very disappointed in the taste. I thought I would like it because it looked like food you'd get at Cafe Rio or Chipotle. It was edible...maybe mediocre at best. Tried this out as a friend recommended it from Utah. It's similar to an other place. They make the tortillas in front of you which was a plus in my book. Menu is simple just enough to choose from. I went with the Baja Bowl. It was delicious! My friend had the same and chips and queso. I also ordered the taco trio to take home. You get 3 sauces for that meal. The decor is crisp and feels like you are at the beach. The food tastes very fresh and healthy but in a good way if that makes sense. I want to go try some more items. They do have desserts to order as well. Staff was friendly seemed like they are still learning which makes sense as they are newly opening. Their friendliness made up for the newness. read more

So disappointed with our visit today, which is unfortunate because we were excited about this location opening. We've been to other locations and enjoyed them. While they are well staffed and friendly and the food tasted good, we were shocked by the tiny portions. The burrito bowl was laughable, with a tiny scoop of rice and a much smaller scoop of beef, the bowl was more than half empty until they filled it with lettuce. Half of the nacho chips were completely dry they were so delicate with the cheese, queso sauce, and beans. Also, hardly any chicken. I really wondered if the staff were trained to provide minuscule portions or they were afraid to give too much with all of the trainers watching or if they were just nervous being so new. I ordered beans with no rice and got no beans and extra rice. In my chicken burrito, there were 3 slivers of chicken. In my son's chicken burrito, he got 4 slivers of chicken and 4 pinto beans among his pile of rice. The only saving grace is that their guacamole is very avocado-y. I really appreciate this person because she allowed me add as many scoops of refried beans as I wanted. This being my first time eating at this restaurant I had no idea what to expect. Upon entering I noticed that the restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating. As I walked up to where I was to order I realized that the set up was like Cafe Rio and that was a complete disappointment. I do not like to order my food like this but I was willing to try and see how the food was. I ordered a sweet pork burrito and a small nacho. After compiling.the ingredients for my burrito and being served my nachos I made my way to a table. I took one bite of the nachos with the cheese sauce on them and I was shocked on how horrible they taste then I looked at my receipt to see that the small nacho was 9.69 I was like what the fuck. Ten dollars for a small amount of corn chips and some disgusting cheese sauce these people are crazy so I took my nachos back and asked for a refund Christina was not only beautiful looking and a fabulous smile she gladly gave me my refund and was more than pleasant with me. Her attitude and her personality along with her beauty will bring me back the sweet pork burrito was rather tasty and with the mango salsa made it a delight to eat I would order that again I as willing to try other burritos but until they lower the price of the nachos and do better with the cheese sauce I'm staying away from them so I would recommend this place but don't expect to much it's good for a quick bite to eat and not much more read more

Only one drive-through I could tell you that their tortillas are fresh, which is a game changer because even though I like going to Futo's Mexican food place thing they don't have the tortillas are soft and fresh as how they do here in Costa Vida everything is definitely like health-conscious Callie vibes, which shouldn't be offputting two people that don't really care about their health. They just want good Mexican food? I think this is great because it's not spicy at all. It's actually just tomato and onion. If you wanna say spicy, they do have their sauces which I'm not a big fan of because I can't eat that. But definitely didn't make me feel like bloated or like I ate something bad. It's like a refreshing burrito. I got a chicken burrito extra guac no rice no beans just chicken lettuce and wow, their desserts. I only try their Keylime pie. That was amazing. Probably more of a 3.5 star review...I believe this used to be a Del Taco that had been out of business for quite some time...the remodel is wonderful and you'd never know that it was different place in the past, it's also very clean as it has just recently opened...this is a very similar place to Cafe Rio, Baja Fresh, and Chipotle where you walk up to the counter, place your order and they prepare everything in front of you...I ordered the chicken burrito and they made the tortilla right in front of me, pretty cool concept...they then ask what type of rice and beans you would like inside, as well as your protein... the burrito was pretty large and they also give you a side salad with it...the price for the burrito was around $11 and didn't include a drink...the chicken was kind of tasteless, I wish it had more flavor, the rice was just okay as were the pinto beans...menu is pretty standard, burritos, tacos, quesadillas and enchiladas...everything is priced around the same but there is an up charge for steak and shrimp...service was fast and friendly...will return and try something different in the future, maybe try a different protein as well....all in all this place has potential and it should do well in this busy shopping center....RECOMMEND read more

I honestly love Costa Vida so much and I've gone to a lot of locations and I've never had a problem, but this location specifically has been consistently bad over multiple visits. The service is extremely slow and employees don't often understand my requests. I recently asked for the hot sauce and they reached for mild and I had to correct it quickly. A simple order that shouldn't take much effort ends up being a bit of a hassle. The food leaves a bit to be desired as well. I ordered chips and salsa and I bit into several chips that were raw and flimsy and my smothered burrito was pretty dry. At first I was hoping that the quality of my visits would improve as the employees worked here longer, but it's been a few months and the speed and efficiency has stayed about the same. read more
