We ordered via delivery service. We had the posole, steak fries, and pastor wet burrito. Our son raved about the posole he ordered and loved from Rivas #11 near Harry Reid Airport and was expecting the same flavor and heat from location #2. Unfortunately, the #2 location did not deliver the same quality as #15. The broth was not spicy, I tasted the posole and it was basically flavored water. There was no spicy option. No taste of chile, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper to taste. He was disappointed and so was I. I've had and can make authentic Mexican posole. I understand this is fast food takeout Mexican, but we will be ordering from store #15 from now on. However, the food was well packed, utensils and napkins included. The steak in the fries and the pastor wet burrito was well served and on point. My family and I appreciate the hard work, prep, and cooking efforts put into to satisfy the food craving we wanted for our family meal, including the posole. We spiced it up ourselves. I always get my menudo from Ely's but someone recommended this place. Not too much of a fan first impressions count. Packing was great, good quantity, but cold and not flavorful. I can only review on their menudo as this is my go to place for cravings of menudo. It is so good and they give plenty of tripe. For the amount of soup and content they provide it is very reasonable price. My wife normally doesn't eat menudo or tripe but she will at Rivas. So if I want menudo I go to Rivas. read more

Rivas used to be one of our favorites fast food mexican restaurants in Henderson. About 10 days ago we bought two tortas, one chicken and one asada and two sopes. Everything was bad. The asada was burn, dry, flavorless. The chicken was not better. The sopes were cold, dry, with a bad quality cheese (tasted like paper), The jalapenos with carrots in vinager were dry also, (kind of old). Rivas had neglected their quality a lot. We are no going back. We don't recommend it, but if you absolutely have to go and you don't like something, let them know immediately and show what they are doing. We came here on the recommendation of one of the pharmacist interns at my boyfriends pharmacy. She insisted that it was amazing. We came and ordered a carne asada torta for me with no thousand island dressing, carne asada nachos, and beef rolled tacos. The person who rang us out was very nice and talked to us while the food was getting ready. I packed up some salsa in to go containers as well as likes and the pickled carrots that I like (this is the first place I've found them in NV). When we got home, I added some mayo to the torta and tried to eat it, but the whole thing just fell apart in my hands. The nachos were pretty meh, and we had to add the don tortaco salsa to it because their own salsa wasn't very good. The rolled tacos were okay, but definitely not worth going back for. It's got such a smokey flavor to it, and a slight charred exterior that makes for such a flavorful experience! Get it in either there tacos, soles, or loaded fries and you won't be disappointed. There fish taco was a major disappointment as it was simply coated in too much tarter style sauce. VERY unprofessional cashier named KARINA Just wanted to report a cashier that was disgusted of me. extremely rude and kept supplies from me because she was disgusted of a burn on my face. She disrespected my mom by yelling at her when she asked if she spoke Spanish and told her she only speaks English. But then proceeded to speak to the next person in Spanish. After reading some of the recent reviews I had to chime in. If you are going to a franchise expecting high quality food you are going to be upset. This place is great for what it is and the staff has always been great. It is a replica of cheap hole in the wall food which we all love so much, but is also a franchise and in business to make money. The meat was delicious, tortillas were hand made, salsa was spicy!!! but delicious. The green was not as hot as the red, but the red had so much flavor...I couldn't help myself. One thing I wish they had was lengua and cabeza as some of their meats The store is small, nothing to brag about. I would be careful bring kids with you only because of how small it is and they may not have too much utility to accommodate children. Also be careful being in large groups, again seating is limited! Overall, me and my wife will be coming back again. The food reminds me of some of my old hole in the wall taqueria's we used to go to back in the Bay Area. I work a block from there. There are so many options on Stephanie, I had never gone left from my office on Warm Springs. I was looking for an authentic Mexican Restaurant. I scored! The parking lot has many spaces... Your car will be in your sight. The menu was comparable with other restaurants. Prices are lower. Considering I was there at Lunch Rush time, I was amazed at the speed of service, and cleanliness of the restaurant. Bathroom was also spotless. It's rare to see that.
