The land all around is so beautiful!

We went as a group of women on retreat. We had lots of fun, but.......everything was difficult in terms of communication. It was not easy to coordiate, and we were miss-informed about a lot of things. The staff at the venue did not seem to have a sense of urgancy about much of anything....even getting new towels was a hassle. I called Logan, the manager, a week ago but still have not had a call back. It really felt like once they received our payment, they didn't care much about our stay. There was even crazy loud dominatrix sex happening at night in the cypress bungalows... like, NOT the kind of thing that you would expect to hear at a "family campground". The staff didn't seem to care. Our family has visited Coastanoa many times over the last 25 years and we have always loved it and felt like we were treated very well. It was always such a treat to go. So this visit was a big surprise and unexpected disappointment. It's extremely expensive (it used to be more affordable) for what you get. I have a feeling they are trying to target large companies who can pay more than regular individuals. It didn't used to be like that....it's sad.

We have been coming to this RV resort for Years ! I can't believe this is my 1st review . Very large resort ! Great activities for the kiddos in the summer ! Amazing views and right off Highway one . Also, we gotta say all the staff here are ALWAYS friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable! That is so important! Great Restaurant and Bar . And in the summer a Bar Cart cruises around the park ! So, many wonderful trips here. This is our destination on the Coast . :)

Glamping at Costanoa was everything we needed! This place is super clean, comfy, and GORGEOUS! Set along the coast and the mountains. Coming from San Francisco, Pescadero was the perfect distance for us This family retreat had it all. A fantastic restaurant, a general store, and a fun pine tent bar/restaurant that had great music and fresh made pizza. Costanoa wanted to make fire that the grown ups had as much fun as the kids But the nature walks, and all of the beautiful birds was zen. It was peaceful. We decided to go for the 4th of July and the activities Costanoa planned for their guest was awesome! They had a parade where all the guest and dogs dressed and walked, Bingo, and music. Fun! Fun! Fun! 5 stars to the staff and care they gave to all of us guest and the to the establishment. We stayed in the tent bungalow with the amazing heated blankets. They had WI-FI! Thank you Costanoa for a great memorable stay Our next visit we must stay at the lodge! It looks amazing!

Thank you Costanoa for making our 4 year anniversary trip so special! Everything was perfect. Clean cabins, nice campsites, stunning views, great hike nearby, and right across the street from the beach! What more could you need? They even provided us with a complimentary bottle of wine when they found out it was our anniversary. The best surprise ever!

Our upgraded site. It was in the "loop" area. Very nice.

We just finished our first trip to Costanoa and we have mixed reviews. What makes this review special, is that we switched sites midway through our trip. This made for completely different experiences. Our first site was super cramped and awkwardly appointed. We had our neighbor's fire pit near the break door of our trailer. We breathed their smoke, heard their conversations, and it was entirely too close. Our second site was outstanding. The site had tons of space, great views, a patio, furniture, and a huge grass area for anyone to use. The restaurant was fantastic. The food and service were top-notch. The store was well stocked and the staff were friendly. At check in, they asked if I was going to fly any flags. This question caught me off guard as I had never been asked this question at any RV resort. Flags are one of those things you see alot of at RV resorts. I kind of enjoy seeing people's flags. But at this resort, I didn't see any flags. I didn't see the campground fly any american flags either which was also a first. I didn't ask any further questions about their flag rules, since I was worried about what their answer might be. Very strange. This resort is pretty far from any grocery stores, so be sure to come prepared. Also, do your homework on the sites. Choosing the wrong site could really mess up your trip.

Needed a mini get away and this place exceeded my expectations! Booked the same day and it's just what I needed. Not to far from the city, an hour drive with a lovely view on highway 1! The cabin had everything I needed for my boyfriend and I. This place was clean, peaceful, and had great customer service :) I'll definitely be coming back and I'll be sharing this spot with my friends and family

aesthetic: 4.5/5 food: 5/5 service: 5/5 costanoa is a hidden gem for a weekend getaway from sf!! we stayed here for a long weekend to try glamping and loved how quaint and reasonably-priced this retro-esque resort is. we appreciate the staff putting together a communal fire pit for everyone to use and roast marshmallows on - no need to purchase firewood for smores if you're up to make new friends by the campfire. one aspect of costanoa we were looking forward to was the sauna. unfortunately, it's really small and next to the bathrooms, so i would recommend going early in the morning or later in the evening to avoid the crowds and actually feel at peace. however, the sauna is a much-needed amenity, especially after going on one of the campsite's beautiful coastal hikes (the trailheads are conveniently on the resort). to my surprise, the best part about costanoa is... the vegan breakfast burrito!! if costanoa was a bit closer, i 100% would drive here weekly to get that fix. as someone with a plant-based diet, i very much appreciate costanoa having menu options for various dietary needs. overall, costanoa is the spot to visit if you're looking for a scenic retreat or gifting someone an experience without breaking the bank. nothing like one of their solid breakfast burritos to top off a relaxing stay in the redwoods ;)

Stayed here for one night in the C14 cypress tent bungalow. I had a wonderful, restful stay. My tent bungalow had a small patio deck that overlooked nature so it was very peaceful to look out to for sunrise. The grounds are beautiful. The nearby trails were lovely, and I saw deer in the dunes by the beach at sunset, which was magical. The ridge trail looks and smells gorgeous in the early morning! The service and food at the restaurant was outstanding. I enjoyed the vegan options, thank you! Easy access to the bathrooms and loved the outdoor shower! My critiques would be to have different choice for nightstands, possibly small lights on the paths to the bungalow and better placement for the mirror inside. I was grateful for the towels and robe! Wish I could have stayed longer. Thank you!

This is such a fantastic resort. The most relaxing vacation, perfect for couples, families, even large groups, there are different types of accommodation for everyone. I flew in (not rv camping) and got a bungalow, I'm in heaven! Food and drinks are fresh & fantastic and the menu is well rounded. Very peaceful and quiet. I will absolutely be back!

It has a dump station and water fill station near the entrance. There are long term residents, however they are kind of in their own section. We had no issue with that whatsoever. Our site did back up to a fence with houses or apartments on the other side which might bother some but we really had no issue with that either. Lori, the manager, is…read moresuch a nice women and is extremely kind and helpful, we had no issues getting a long term spot for my husband due to his constant change in jobs so he is constantly changing locations for work and they were able to get us a spot immediately for long term stays. The location is great, near downtown and close to everything you need like shops, grocery stores and gas stations. The bike trails that lead to the ocean from the RV Park are INCREDIBLE, we went on bike rides everyday! Side note: I grew up in Half Moon Bay, our family currently doesn't live here anymore but I have a long history with the town and the people who live there. Secondly, At the end of our families stay, we were informed by the park that they were getting complaints about our children... saying they were being too loud, people would occasionally hear them crying, we were playing music (during the day) and they could hear our kids running around inside the trailer.... Our children are 4 and 1 years old.... They were being KIDS!! So someone near us, was that bothered by our children, they had to make a huge deal about it and report us to the front office... My husband has not lived at home in almost 4 years due to his job so when my children and I would come see my husband it was for a week at a time, and that is the ONLY time we get to see him. We have to travel to him, otherwise we don't get to see him AT ALL. I understand nobody knows our situation, which we dont expect people too, but it also made us feel extremely unwelcome after that phone call we received, it made us feel extremely uncomfortable and we felt like we were now being watched because our kids had a couple "bad days". Being from Half Moon Bay, I took this news extremely personal, it made us feel like we were getting "kicked out" or "warned" that if it didn't change, they were going to ask us to leave. All because someone can't handle children being children. My husband has lived in 8 different trailer parks all up and down California and Nevada the last 4 years and we have NEVER had complaints towards our family. There are a ton of retired, working and older tenants who live there full time and apparently some forget what it's like to have kids, or they've never had kids themselves. Unfortunately, we did decide to leave the park. At that time my husband had already lived there full time for over 3 months. My husband was not comfortable having us come visit him if we felt unwelcome and felt like we were going to be watched each time we came. Especially telling our children they can't be themselves while they're there because some people have issues with kids. We genuinely enjoyed our stay there, we had such a great time creating memories as a family, until we didn't. I do recommend staying here if your doing a short term stays because you're gone in a few days so it's not enough time to create an issue, but if you have children and are looking for a long term place, I would not recommend it unless you "KEEP THEM ON A TIGHT LEASH" which is what was told to our new tenant by the park when moving in. And to the front office, I did not create this post to have you reply or feel like you need to "stick up" for your RV Park, it's a GREAT park, I just don't think it's GREAT for children which is the focus of my posting. Thank you for allowing us to stay there for the time we did, but it was time for us to go.

As a newer RV owner, I especially appreciated how incredibly easy it was to access the park and our spot. That simple convenience took away a lot of the initial stress of driving a big rig and is a huge plus. The park itself is top-notch. Our spot was absolutely huge, giving us plenty of room to spread out. The entire resort is super clean, and the restrooms and showers were spacious and spotless--a real pleasure to use. A major bonus for us was that they even have designated areas for tent setups, which meant our "tent camping" friends were able to join us for the weekend. But the true magic of this location is its unbeatable proximity to everything. We were within easy walking distance of fantastic shopping, dining, and even some fun bar hopping with fancy distilleries nearby. The Marina is also just a short stroll away, where we spent time sitting and watching the otters and sea lions--it was absolutely beautiful and so relaxing. We were so close to every amenity and attraction that we didn't even unhook the truck from the camper the entire weekend! Finally, I have to give a massive shout-out to the amazing host. He greeted us the second we drove in and personally walked us to our spot. He even offered a 50-amp 'dog bone' adapter because he noticed my camper was 30-amp--talk about thoughtful service!
