Perhaps most importantly, the CostCare team believes in preventive medicine to limit your risk of disease and immune system issues and developing strong provider-patient relationships that help you invest in your own health and wellness. CostCare proudly offers insurance billing services along with discounted fee schedules for anyone who pays in full at the time of their visit. Despite the many changes in health care, CostCare has managed to remain true to the initial mission upon which it was founded, always offering high quality, affordable health care and always placing the needs of each patient first.

History

Established in 2007.

CostCare was founded in 2007 by Dr. Carol Bridges, MD and Lesley Von Eschen, PAC, to help address the inaccessibility and high cost of healthcare. Initially, CostCare started as a flat-fee walk-in clinic with patients paying at the time of service and soon expanded to family practice services with three clinics in Missoula and one in Helena. Our model changed with the introduction of the Affordable Care Act. Because many of our previously uninsured patients then obtained healthcare coverage, we began billing insurance. This required us to change our model to follow the rules required by insurance companies. Nonetheless, we strive to stay true to our initial mission of providing markedly discounted and transparent fees to patients who either are uninsured or have high deductible health insurance plans, including Direct Primary Care (DPC), an affordable monthly membership model for health care.

Meet the Business Owner: Carol Bridges, MD B.

Dr. Carol Bridges attended the University of California Irvine, College of Medicine and then completed her residency in Family Medicine in Spokane, Washington in 1998. She moved to Missoula to practice full-spectrum family medicine and started CostCare in 2007 with Lesley Von Eschen.
