Let me say I love Costco but this review today is just about the tire center. I had an appointment and arrived early for a tire rotation. They didnt appear that busy but who am I to say for sure. Total time of wait about 1 1/2 hours. When I return I noticed the headrests were pulled to the max up. The back windows open. They only have to move the car about 20 feet from the waiting spaces. I didnt get whats going on here. I call the store and ask for Manager. I get Mark asst store manager. He tells me that they have to put plastic all over the seats and move the headrests and open the windows. That is news to me but maybe they have a better source of covid news than the rest of us. I think its really an airborne disease and the longer your exposed the worse it is. I dont think many get it on headrests or seats. After all they shouldnt be sitting in a car just to rotate tires. Well now that I know they are told to do this I feel better. But really who is protecting who? They could hold their breath if they had to to move 20 feet. Hop out and they are safe. Personally to me it sounds like they put themselves at more risk messing with all this internal car stuff when a tire rotation is all done from outside the car! When I started driving home I notice a station that I would never listen to is on my satellite radio now. So they are messing with my radio presets too and the open windows makes my car a big boombox ya think???? Oh yeah! Personally I just HATE it when you bring a car in for service and the shop help go mess with all sorts of stuff they shouldnt be touching. I guess this is Costco policy but someone in management should really re-think this. I think its worse for the employees and worse for the customer. Plus it sure slows down the work and there are ALWAYS plenty waiting....and now this additional waiting for a procedure that I bet does nothing but ADD to the COVID risk to them and ME. Keep in mind I happen to be triple vaxxed. Plus I have several co-morbidities. I DONT want shop help crawing all over the interior of my car! Can you relate to that?? I dont know if they have even had their first vax??? I dont want them crawling all over my car and pressing radio and window buttons and yanking on headrests. This HAS to put ME at more risk. Please do your customers a big favor and rethink this policy. If you decide this is your thing and its now going to be a regular forever rule put up a warning sign so when customers get their car back and they see everything inside has now been messed with they know it is a Costo requirement. Stopped by after dinner to sign up for membership. When entering the building, came through the main entrance like I did at Sam's Club when setting up membership and directed to the membership area. While walking through, greeter (Evelyn?) called me out inquiring about membership. Explained I was there to set it up. She aggressively stated you must go through the exit door. I said "who would have known?" She snapped "I'm telling you now!" I thought wow, how nasty. She had an accent and not sure from where, but she is absolutely not a customer service driven agent. I am amazed at the customer friendly culture at Publix Supermarkets and Chick File. And at the end of that day, they may earn the same of less than Costco entry level staff. Proceed to the membership area. Waited for a few minutes and listened to a young black man with braids (couldn't see his name tag) engaging with customers. He was friendly, engaging and patient. We got Joann who started out very friendly while she introduced the different membership options. Once we decided not to go with the executive plan, she seemed visibly defeated and her disposition changed. I even asked her was she angry which she denied. Publix and Chick Fila have cornered the market on awesome customer service. It starts from the top though. "Costco is for members only. You've been planning an alien invasion... in my Costco?" -- The Watch (2012) Oh Costco, I love you so. But this location is not my favorite. Maybe it's because I am so used to the one by Perimeter Mall, but I cannot seem to find anything on the dry shelves in this one. Also, I've bought meat here a couple times that I get home and open it and it is not good and I have had to return it. Good news is, they take it and credit me immediately! Now, the produce is great, the food court is good, the frozen section and paper products - all well organized. Also, the check out is the same as anywhere else. The lines are long, but they are pretty efficient at getting through them. I'll stick with my favorite location and use this one solely as back up (It remains better than Brookhaven and Gwinnett), but I will come here in a pinch. read more

I haven't been to a lot of Costcos in atl..but this one is soo much better than the one in Gwinnett. like everyone says, everyone comes here for the samples and food court. you can have appetizers, which are the samples and then have your main meal in the food court! all the food at the food court are under $5! the best deal, in my opinion, is the 1/4 lb of hot dog (you can choose polish or beef) and a fountain drink (free refills) combo for just $1.50!! only downside is cash only! but even still... the hot dog is pretty long and there's a small toppings bar to the side. the store itself is very clean and organized. I just wish they labeled the aisles (like walmart does) along with the number of the aisles. it was difficult at first since this was my first time at this location and it wasn't standard to the others; besides the pharmacy/health section being right next tithe checking out station. All my co-workers have Costco and I have never been inside one. The company I work for also uses Costco to purchase snacks and fruits for the employees. I don't live in Cobb County and live in Gwinnett County. I've been a Sam's Club member for over 20 years and just kept it. Sam's Club is also closer to us than Costco. Therefore, we just continued with the membership. One day, my coworker told me she had to pick up flowers for her MIL's bday so I tagged along to see how Costco is. The setup is similar to Sam's. I think Costco wins in terms of having more yummier and healthier options. Costco membership does cost more too. The way I see it. Good quality, good prices. Sometimes very crowded. Huge variety, and buying in bulk saves a TON of money. Clean and organized, but I wish they labeled the aisles: it would make it easier to find things. (They do have a lot if stuff...) Lots of bakery items, meats, seafood, books, clothes, snacks, etc. Basically just a whole lot of stuff. If you ever need anything, just go to Costco. The friendly staff will help you find what you need. Costco also has flowers on sale near the check out. It's next to the Cumberland Mall, so parking can kind of be a hassle. It's not uncommon to see that you just payed one hundred dollars on stuff, but it's worth it. I absolutely love Costco, so my reviews of Costco are a bit biased. Pretty much all of their locations I have been to have a similar layout and this one is no exception. If you've been to one Costco before, you're going to be quite at home here. While I'd love to give this Costco five stars, I had a less than stellar checkout experience with one of their cashiers. The guy wasn't friendly and not at all responsive. Rather than asking if I'd like a box to place my items, he just placed them in my cart, handed me the receipt, and continued with the next customer. No "have a nice day" or "thanks for shopping at Costco" or anything of the sort. Overall, a very cold check-out experience. This complaint sounds petty, but it's something you sort of had to experience yourself rather than merely read on Yelp. The rest of my Costco experiences here at this location have been great. I had to return a Dyson vacuum one time and it was as quick and easy as you'd expect from Costco. NOTE: Be wary of coming here on the weekend. The parking lot serves both the Cumberland Mall and Costco, leaving open the possibility of a significant emotional event while trying to park. All in all, I really do love this Costco. This Costco is A-OK. First the good news. It has many items at a reasonable price. Stock up on super size household necessities that will not go bad (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.) The store is well laid out and is almost mirror image to other Costcos so you know which aisle to find things. There meat selection is very good and great fruit/vegetables. For the occasional electronic products the prices are unreal, I picked up 4TB external HD for only $139. Good cheap gas too. Now the bad news. This is super busy location and you will wait. The staff here can be a little high brow, and your fellow customers can be worse. Expected more selection, for example wanted 'Pine Sol' and they had none or even a competitive house cleaning product. No labels on the aisles so you must walk to find things. The food court is super cheap but is not very tasty; in fact if you are hungry usually the free samples in the store are better. For the yearly fee you pay to shop here expected more. No manufacture coupons are accepted. Visit infrequently and stock up big and you will be a happy camper! read more

Great asset to the neighborhood! I'm here weekly getting gas and their gas station deserves 5 stars. I typically get my tires and batteries here and the battery center is 4 out of 5 stars. I took off a star because they don't always have someone manning the check-in or the phones in the Tire Center. The store itself is one of the better Costcos. They seem to always have some type of samples regardless of the time of day or day of the week. They have good (not great) produce options. (I would like to see more organic produce options). Finally, Costco made a corporate decision to limit the number of brands offered for the same product (cheese as an example). For many items it doesn't bother me but some of the brands I liked are no longer available... Overall, I love this Costco but there are some areas for minor improvements. read more

Due to that fact that I do not go to Costco that often I asked the supervisor if I could use some type of day pass or generic membership card. I understand company policy is company policy but my daughter and I were standing there with a basket full and this woman was not accommodating in any type of way. Everyone knows when it comes down to bulk items its either Costco or Sams Club. I had to drive a bit further out to go to Costco, but it was definitely worth it. When you compare them to Sams it's two different stores as they both carry some of the same items but mostly differen't. I know most people like to compare them, but it's hard to do. Their bulk produce and meats are great on pricing! You can actually save some money on them by getting them in bulk. Now I know that wont be for everyone as some of the fruits/veggies may go to waste. But when you have 2 kids like I do who constantly eat, it is a HUGE help. I love the fact that you can get 40 bottles of water for $2.99 you wont find those items at a regular store. Obviously you are going to spend more money when you shop because you're buying in bulk. We spent about $80 on 7 items. BUT those are items that'll last us a good bit of time. So you may feel like you're spending a lot, in reality it evens out with your budget and you're getting a good deal. ALSO: THEY HAVE FREE FOOD SAMPLES!!!!!!! And I don't know how they do it but their gas is a ton cheaper compared to everyone else. I run premium so I filled my SUV up and when we drop past the QT down the street it was 40¢. I typically don't mind this Costco, it's pretty much always fully stocked and have a decent variety of items. However, I like to get their rotisserie chicken to make lunches through out the week because I don't have a lot of time to make food for ever meal. They are typically hit or miss with just right or over cooked. Except this last time I bought one, it was grossly under cooked and I had to throw it out because I didn't have time to drive through traffic and deal with mall parking to return a bad chicken. This has been the WORSE purchase I have ever made.  Purchased a washer n dryer online 4/9/2021.  After receiving 4 different delivery times, I got a call last minute saying they would be at my home in 15 min.  Well I was at work but arranged for someone to be there for them because well its been 4 different delivery dates and I didn't want to make it longer. Mind you at no fault of mine.  An hour after I had someone there, I received a call asking their time again.  This was 1 whole hour later.  Needless to say, they didn't show up.  Called the delivery company, after a run around the reception came back and I was told they were in a road block and couldn't get down the street. (remember 15 min away).  There was NOT a road block.  I was told I would need to reschedule it again. Not with the delivery company but with Costco.  Then I call Costco and had to talk to two different reps .  This was on a Friday.  I received the Washer and Dryer that Wed.  ONLY FOR IT TO NOT WORK.  Not only did it not work, it burned a hole in my flooring.  Sigh. Called them again and they asked if I wanted to use my warranty for it to get service. ABSOULTELY NOT.  I don't want a new item to have have to be repair before I could even use it. (Oh it was a Whirlpool) I would have went to a second hand place if that was the case.  So then they asked if I just want the washer replace.  This is after telling me that the item is out of stock. Now why would I want a non-matching new set?  Unbelievable.  So I had to purchase a NEW SET, before they could "refund" me for the old set.  As of today, my account is missing the old set refund.  I called them and they told me on Wed 5/12 to wait until 5/14.  I did.  My money isn't in my account yet they took their money same day I ordered it.  When I called back they had the audacity to tell me they put a rush on my return and peep this.  Wait 3-5 days to see it.  I literally started cussing then they changed it to 1-3 days.  Look on Monday if my money isn't in may account. I don't want another representative.  I wish I could cancel my membership with them because I want NO PART of anything they sell after this.  Let's also mention that I chose the pick up options too.  So those days that I was waiting, we didn't not have a machine because they took the old one that actually worked.   There are things left out, just to show how much of a circus act this company and situation has been. Literally cannot trust myself to walk in and out without spending at least $100 so I try to space out my visits. This costco is very clean, organized and well stocked. I have yet to purchase gas here but the gas station is always packed. My interactions with the staff have always been pleasant and helpful and the checkout process has always been a breeze. This Costco shares the same location as Cumberland Mall. I love coming here. I mean, I just love Costco, in general. I try not to come here too often though, I end up stocking up on things I really don't need to stock up on. Weekends are super busy. And while prices of gas is really nice at the Costco pumps, I would avoid going around 5-6 pm because there are so many people getting gas. I actually get my gas here if I can help it. If you haven't been, parking to go to the store can be cumbersome. ;) But really, Sundays are the scariest days. But if you must, you have to go before noon! Anytime before 11 am is the best. Trust me, my family use to go to Costco on Sunday afternoon back at home. There are always something on sale, and if you download the app, you can save time and see what is available on sale. Or, you can be like me and go to every single aisle. When you get to the food section, make sure you have enough room for a little snack, there are people giving samples. I've tried so many new things that have become a household staple. As far as I could tell, all the food here are very fresh. I always stock up on cleaning supplies, toilet paper or paper towels. I always have enough of those stuff to survive a year. Depending on the time of the day/week, the lines can take forever or be fairly quick. Be sure to have your card out so they can scan your card before checking out. They put your items right into your buggy without a bag. And if you are tired of walking, you can enjoy a foot long hotdog with a soft drink for $1.50. Can you believe that? It is such a steal. *If you are traveling by yourself and do not want to lug all of your stuff to your car because it is raining, you can ask a costco worker to watch your stuff so you can bring your car so you can load it! read more

This is absolutely outrageous considering the fact that my mother has just had back surgery and she asked me to do her the favor and get her groceries. If you're hungry and want a cheap meal, go to Costco. You can walk around, eat all the samples they provide, and your meal would only cost $0. That can be one option. You can also go to their "food court" as another option. Their food court actually consists of one food stand. Yes, that store has a monopoly inside Costco. Despite being a monopoly, they have a good selection of food for cheap. For example, you can get a 1/4 pound hotdog (.113398093 kg for my non-American readers. It's also known as Royal with Sasuage) with a drink for only $1.50. Since the dog is 1/4 lb, one hotdog can satisfy you. And you can dress it up with onions, relish, ketchup, and mustard. If you have a bigger stomach, you can order a slice of pizza to go with it for $1.99. It's not some school lunch sized, dinky little slice. It's a huge slice of pizza. Overall, you can have a very filling meal for under $5. How crazy is that? They don't only serve pizza and hotdogs at their food court. They also sell salads, churros, smoothies, frozen yogurt (another competitor in the froyo market?), and other stuff. But I usually get their hot dog or pizza. Their hotdog taste decent, and the pizza is not the best, but for under $5, it's worth every penny. The store itself is huge. You can find a lot of great deals. It's dangerous to come here with a shopaholic since they'll want to get everything. It's also a horder's dream come true. Do you need 5 flashlights? Just buy a pack at Costco. Nevertheless, there are a lot of cool stuff you can buy for a decent price. Although I don't think membership is worth it if you don't have a big family. I think the membership costs $60 a year; so you need to save at least $60 a year for the membership to pay for itself. Sure you can buy some toiletries that'll last you a year. But for food, you definitely want to have 2.5 kids before you buy that tub of mayo. And they better like mayo. So the Costco in Cobb at Cumberland, made an executive decision that we don't need Christmas trees this year. Now I have to drive 20+ miles to Dunwoody to get my tree that we buy EVERY year from Costco's. What a ridiculous decision. I love Costco. This location is right next to Cumberland mall and right cross the cobb galleria and renascence hotel. Parking can be a issue during the weekends. basic membership is 55 dollars for two household members and 100 dollar for cash back card. They just switched credit card issuers and method of payment from American Express to Visa in June. With addition of accepting debit cash and checks. Merchandise like seasonal and clothing change weekly. So if you see anything you like get I now there high chance they wont have it again. Food is competitive and fresh not always the cheapest. The best value is the bulk items, rotisserie chicken, baked pizza, hotdogs, pharmacy, water , milk and gasoline . Checking out is always a zoo but the line moves fast. For those who are uninitiated in the Cult of Costco, slunch is a "samples lunch" because if you walk around at the right time of day, you can make a full meal out of the generous and tasty free samples they hand out showcasing their new and specialty products. Slunch aside, I hate this Costco. Because it is attached to Cumberland Mall, and thus shares parking with the mall, parking is a pain all the time. The line for the Costco gas pumps is always at least five cars deep per pump. I've been when there are no shopping carts at the entrance, and no matter what time of day you go, the checkout lines will take you quite a while. Perhaps worst of all, there are never enough tables for you to sit down to enjoy your $1.50 hotdog. For most of my adult life, I have been a Sam's Club member and so that is where my loyalty lie for many years. But, several years ago, Oprah did a show on Costco and that opened a file in my brain which stayed open and active for some time. Then one year, my Sam's membership expired and I thought, "I'm going to try Costco." This was one of my better choices in life (Ha!). If you were warped into a Sam's or Costco, you'd be hard pressed to figure out which store you were in. However, upon closer inspection you will find that Costco is superior in the club membership contest. Though the membership fee is higher at Costco, they definitely offer more variety and products then Sam's. At least it seems that way to me. And while Sam's is very good about all the samples they offer on a weekend, Costco is very, very good with numerous samples for products I would actually buy. You really could get full if you hiit them all up. Seriously. The main reason I prefer Costco, though, is the fact that they offer more pre-prepared items than Sam's. What can I say? I'm a woman on the go. I like that they offer beef stuffed bell-peppers, lasagne etc. I don't mean frozen either. This location at Cumberland can get hella busy and parking wars might ensue. But I like that it's right in the mall parking lot and they have the gas station available. Stop going to the grocery store every week and buying tissue and paper towels folks. Worst customer experience ever for Costco member since 1996. Why would anyone retain a Costco membership? 1. Ordered four new tires with installation packages on Costco website on September 26. 2. Citibank's decline of small valid charge raised member's concern and ire. Member has 800 credit score, zero late payments, and zero statement balance. Called Citibank; told by rep there is no problem with account and that tire order was approved on order date. 3. Day after call, Citibank declined valid $6.00 charge for parking located within 10 miles of both home and local Costco club location. (This undependable card is worthless.) 4. Sent email complaint with snail mail follow-up to Costco CEO Craig Jelenek. No reply was received. 5. Local club never called or sent email to notify member that tire order had arrived. 6. Member kept daily check of Costco website that indicated order "Pending" since September 26 order date. 7. When website finally indicated that order shipped on October 3, Citi Costco VISA was already charged, though tires were not yet delivered to member, installed, or member notified of delivery. 8. After verifying order delivery status on website, member immediately attempted to setup installation appointment at local club using Costco's online tool. Requested any appointment date but Rep was unable to confirm any appointment date or time whatsoever. 10. Left message for Costco department supervisor indicating we will arrive at 7PM that evening. We'll see what happens next; pessimistic about outcome. No end in sight to this terrible customer experience. What's not to love about Costco?! Savings, the hotdogs and the free samples :-) the only complaint I have is the parking is SUCH a hassle being that they semi share with Cumberland mall, which tends to make things more crowded and convoluted. Also, the lines are sometimes insane- even to get out of the door, so going early is always best. read more

Costco is to Sam's Club what Target is to WalMart-- the same thing-- just a little nicer! I go once a month for my staples (coffee, wedge parmesan, butter, etc.), but always leave with some odd $50 item or, better, $50 worth of filet mignon. Dairy, protein, coffee, laundry detergent, and some health and beauty products are a good deal here-- paper products are not (though I am sure all of those people with the package of 30 rolls of paper towels in their cart would disagree). Alcohol is cheaper than at your regular stores, but not cheaper than Green's or Ansley Wine Merchant. It's worth the $50 annual membership fee-- you get two cards, so you can split it with a friend. This is in reference to the Costco Photography service only. We have no issues with other services or products at Costco. We are professional photographers and in the past were very happy with the service Costco provided for photo printing service along with friendly customer service. Sadly, Costco has either had to, or chosen to, now send their photo processing off-site which is now a disaster. Issue: We put in a order as we usually did for an important customer for prints. We received confirmation of the order but several days later we received a request for a "copyright release form" from the photographer. Now we ARE the photographers but OK, we filled it out as requested and sent it back in the requested time. The next day we got word (by e-mail) that they cancelled the order because we didn't get the forms from us. We have dated e-mails from the 17th and our own dated e-mail back to them on the 18th with the forms. We called the Warehouse who told us to call the off-site producer of their printing and proceeded to get bounced around to 3 different people before getting a supervisor. We finally got them to admit that they received the release forms but the story now changed to they didn't get the forms in time. Bizarrely they claimed to have sent part of the photo print order to the warehouse which is confusing if they say they needed the release forms before they would process the order. (if you don't have the release form, WHY would you print and send any, or conversely, if you have the release form, why not print ALL of the photos???) Getting a straight answer was impossible. We would NOT recommend you use Costco for photo services and highly recommend an alternate professional service if you depend on dependable and honest service from a photo processing vendor. Again, getting your gasoline and bulk grocery items there is most likely still fine, but run from the photo processing which is now operated with complete incompetency. read more

mmmmm.... grumpy grumpy grumpy ... TOWARDS THE GAS STATION section ... I love the actual store, but do prepare yourself to be in line for their gas station for a long long looooooong time. I have been filling up here (hallelujah to their Amex Costco holders) - and each time has been a 20 minute ordeal. I don't truly know what is going on - but maybe I should start paying more attention to black cats crossing my path every time I am on my way to put gas in my car to Costco, but the pump line has been borderline ridiculously long. I truly am at a loss, but here is a customer's suggestion: - Hire at least 1 or 2 guys with this job description: - walk around the gas station area to HELP push the line. - fist bump with the customers/ or if they are in a rush, just fist pump in the air. I mean, there are some people who just do not know how to swipe their cards properly, trying to use credit instead of debit, talking on the phone as they close in on a multi million dollar account in Hong Kong - whatever the reason may be - there are some/ many people on the line who are just not moving fast enough for the rest of the world because they are doing something else, and this is completely understandable - to some of the less than 1% patient people of this city called Atlanta, but to those who dont wake up and/or brush their teeth 20 minutes before having to clock in, every minute counts and it is truly truly irritating to have to sit a mere twenty or so minutes in a gas station line waiting for their turn to pump gas ... I am all for respecting the elders but when ... but when ... (ok, can I just tell you my last experience?) 2 days ago, I was stuck in line for more than 20 minutes because the 2 women in front of me just could not get it together (at the same time!!!!) The first woman was wearing headphones and just sat in her car for what*seemed*like*longer*than*eternity*in*hell and was simply not paying attention that her tank was full - when she finally realized this was going on, she simply laughed by her damn self and drove off .... and then another lady who was making this Charade-like-actions of "my card is not working, let me try the other 5 million credit cards I have with me" was in line along with headphone-lady.... As I sat in my car and watch this unfold before me, I let out a Yetti/BigFoot scream and knocked myself out a couple of times by banging my head through my windshield... But seriously, do not put it on your customer's hands to "speed things through" via confrontation. I feel like if there were some personnel walking about to help with something as simple as tapping on someone's window to alert them that their fill-up is done, then we all could go on our merry way ... WWOOOO=SSSAAAHHHHH..... so there you have it. A runt and lots of grunts from someone who had to wait in line a bit too long to fill up the gas tank. Aint nobody got time for that ... read more

Yes, you pay $45. Yes, I've saved that much and more in what I've saved from buying gas there. No, it's not caused my car, a supercharged MINI Cooper S, problems. Yes, they sell stuff in big portions. No, I don't buy stuff I don't need in big portions. Yes, I buy toilet paper, and paper towels in bulk portions. Yes, I've also bought larger portions of meats, and froze what I didn't need right away. Yes, this Costco, like them all has a great selection of items, and we love this one.
